I was disappointed to find that Tabletopia does not allow me to play this game on my iPad without buying a subscription to their service even though I purchased the game here and can access it through Steam. The game is there on the App but is listed as Premium still even when the iOs app is connected to my Steam account which made the purchase. Not a very good system if you ask me. That being said, the game looks great.

Surprised by the negative reviews. Many seem related to user error. Here's a tip for people stuck on 1-player: After you click "Play online" and before you click "Start" use the little arrow above your user photo in the middle of the screen to change the game setting from "1 Player: The Automa" to however many you want. Now others can join. I've played the physical game of Wingspan many times and this is a great digital version. We played through a full 4-player online game, while teaching 2 totally new players, without a single issue. Worked great. Big thumbs up. Great value for $5 or whatever.

Totally misled and hosed! I installed the free version of Tabletopia thinking it would be a way to play games remotely with friends. Next I purchased the "Tabletopia" version of Wingspan and found a friend willing to try it as well. Now I see that the version I bought is only playable solo (automa). Nowhere in the description of either Tabletopia or the version of Wingspan that I bought does it point that out. So you go into the game and it just sits there not able to connect with anyone; moreover, you better know how the automa is supposed to work because the software sure doesn't. I feel totally ripped off. It appears, and I stress "appears," that you need to buy the Tabletopia Simulator and buy the Wingspan Simulator version to be able to do what I had originally intended. But I'm not going to because nowhere can I find that what I'm now thinking is right or not. Stay with Steam! Their ports do what is advertised and you know what you are getting and what you can do in their games.

Ok so a lot of reviews of this game are negative. I'll just say it, the steam version of tabletopia sucks. I have this game along with viticulture : Tuscany on steam. I tried to play both of them and there is issues with both (like missing custom meeples and no money on viticulture). But you know what? I link my steam account to a tabletopia account, and then open the tabletopia website in chrome, sign in and boom. Both games work flawlessly and I'm in a 10 hour zoom and game session with my friends. Highly recommend buy this on steam, play it on chrome (or maybe safari idk i don't have any apple products).

This game doesn't work at all. Besides Tabletopia almost melting my computer, I couldn't even get an offline solo game going, forget about online play. I should have listened to the other reviewers who did not recommend.

This is fantastic! Fun with a friend, also fun on your lonesome. I have the physical version of Wingspan, this online version is definitely a bit fiddly to begin with (I am still a a bit clumsy with the mouse and keyboard equivalents) but I reckon I got somewhat used to the controls within the first 10-15 minutes. Patience required. (This is the first time I've tried an online board game simulator so I've come to this with novice fingers.) Had an issue with playing with others: one person dropped out of the game and then when they returned, somehow lost a card. Another issue is that eggs on cards can be a bit painful, especially if you're tucking and have eggs on cards and somehow mis-click. Dice in the birdfeeder sometimes roll to another face when you're removing them - tad annoying, but still workable. Physical version is absolutely beautiful but this is definitely a good online substitute for coronavirus-lockdowns or buddies far away.

The problem with it loading has been fixed. I have sunk 20 hours into the game so far and I really enjoy it. Here's a list of what to expect... -Easy controls to learn (WASD + Mouse) -Approximately an hour to read the in game instructions to learn how to play. -Fun Solo games against the Automa (Not a big online community.... yet) In short, I learned strategies for the game and enjoyed playing solo. I will probably sink MANY MORE hours into it by treating it as my solitaire game. ~I get paid to watch and catch birds IRL so this game may have variable enjoyment amongst gamers~

I'd say that most bugs have already been fixed so do not worry about bugs and stuff (I play on Steam and so far there aren't any bugs). Wingspan is definitely a game that is worth your money and super fun to even play on your own. Recommended.

barely works. only worth using while in social isolation mode. would demand refund if I could leave my house. It crashed 4 times in one hour. Frequently lags out to be unplayable.

Not a great program. You need an "Undo" action button. I accidentally hit "Take" on the bird deck and then it laid out a whole bunch of cards on my mat and also a bunch facedown all over the table. The take button needs to be changed so to only always take 1 card only, and if there is ever a need to undo an action, a button should do that also. Another issue is there is no way to roll all 5 dice simultaneously, but this is a minor thing. You have to roll each one individually.

I can't get this game to even open or load, yet it says I have a game in progress! Very frustrating. Total waste of time.

A nice implementation. I have had no problems using it in both solo and online modes.
