Very well made game! It scared me a couple through the corn patches and dark pathways. 100% recommend giving it a try, especially since the developer is still adding, upgrading, and fixing content!!

GENTLEMEN, BEHOLD! CORN! Would recommend, developer is putting a tutorial level to help out if you don't know what to do so please give it time. But it's worth a look with friends for a scare.

Played two games of Snipe Hunt and here is my review from a non horror game players perspective Atmosphere: 5/5 A corn maze is familiar and a perfect spooky atmosphere for a game I hgavent seen before. It adds a nice uniqueness to it from the other modern horror games. The crows and birds did give me a good scare and seeing the creature just graze me made me jump a few times Gameplay: 3/5 Simple and effective, However an issue when I was playing was with figuring out which footprints or bone piles i tested. This was not a negative aspect but it did cause me to question what i had and had not found. The other issue is a proper "how to use" prompt for things like the goggles. I was hoping to have a sort of UI that had some prompts such as "Press c to bring up sheet" just as a reminder. Visuals: 4/5 I love the simple look of everything. Most games like these give you tools that make you the next ghostbuster. Here, you get an oil magic lamp and a bag of runes. I like that it actively feels like you need to adapt to this degrade of technology and makes you think more crafty than just plopping a tool on the ground and running. the lighting however does need some work with the lobby being too bright and sometimes the lantern being too dim Overall: A great game for friends for a good time and it definitely is a good early access game that shows promise. Some edits do need to be made for future content and improvements. I give it a solid 3.8/5 I recommend this to anyone if you want a spooky game! I cant imagine what its like to play at 12am with the lights out

I only have 73 minutes on this game. I spend 20 minutes trying to balance the volume for our streams. There's NO volume control in game. I had my headphone / mic near the lowest settings and OBS at 1/3 for the desktop audio so my viewers didn't loose hearing. I'm not sure but I couldn't even get into a solo game. Tried every button to open the doors. In multiplayer, we were finally able to enter the game. The game was glitchy with my 3080. What shows on the host screen and what I had on my screen weren't even the same.

Co-op invite is via a page on a table when you start solo. That wasn't explained. Honestly, I'm all for indie game devs making cool spooky games, but this is just a corn maze with a hunt for a footprint and a bone. Once you find both you know exactly what you've got. Overly simple, didn't see the monster. Honestly don't recommend. Not gonna refund it, but wish for something different in the future. Mazes are cop-outs for a lack of level design ability. Don't do that.

Why is it not called Maize Maze? While a mechanically simple game, it has a strong atmosphere, especially on the audio front. It creates a great sense of unease while exploring the maze for evidence and makes you urgently feel the need to leave, something which can be made more difficult by random nature of the mazes and the space warping mechanic found when traversing the corn. The game also features a co-op, which my or may not ease some of the tension. Visually some elements are lacking, the night time skybox and the lighting of the maze maps is great, though some of the assets look a bit rough and the lighting feels a bit off inside of the lobby house. I was able to escape the bounds of some of the maps but this required effort on my part. I have no comment to make on the VR as I do not own a VR headset, though I can only imagine it enhances the already strong atmosphere.

This is one the worst games I have ever played. I didn't even get to see the mothman. I rate this game 100 Normans

Tried it on the Quest 2 using Air link - pretty much everything was broken. The movement controls were broken, height was broken, items were popping in and out, sound was broken. Yea, this game was not ready for release :/

Don't buy it for VR, it seems to have been tested by Stevie Wonder. Nothing works, rendering happens when you're only facing forward, so if you move your head around parts of the maze disappear, you spawn in 10ft tall, bear traps don't work, glasses are a 20x20 pixel bitmap overlapped in glasses, menus follow the headset so it's hard to read certain parts. Did you even playtest or QA this before releasing it? Absolutely shocking, refunded. Probably fun in poverty flat mode.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my initial impressions review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/ZaHNN-fMKuI I'm not sure I would recommend the VR experience. It's very rough. However, this game is budget-priced and it does seem to have nice potential, so I am going to give it a neutral recommendaiton. The biggest problem with this game currently in VR is the poor performance. Game is running on the Unity Engine and on my RTX 3080, I was getting frame rate drops consistently, despite choosing different graphical options, including turning off volumetrics. However, even worse than the frame rate issues, was the pop-in. There was nothing I could do to stop the severe pop-in that seemingly got worse, the longer you played the game. The other big issue is the lack of a tutorial. I had no idea what I was doing, but I think I was able to figure most of it out, except for the runes. I still have no idea where they are or what they look like or what you're supposed to do if you see one. This game is basically a corn maze where you find clues to figure out the dark entity. You check out bones, you check out for footprints, & you look out for runes. You then test them out and I thought I had figured that out, but apparently not. Again, there is no tutorial anywhere for VR. You have full locomotion, along with smooth or snap turning. You can choose degree of snap turn or speed of smooth turn. You play seated. Interactions are mostly point & click or carry the item. Very basic stuff. If I had paid more than $5 USD (release sale less than $5), then I would have given this game a negative review. Due to the budget price & the potential, I am deciding to be generous and give it a neutral recommendation. I would say, but only to support VR development. Maybe in the future this will be a pleasant VR experience. Or maybe not. Rate 5/10.
If you enjoyed my review, please consider joining my Steam Curator Group. This is an honest review for the game i bought, launch was a little choppy but after those minor bug fixes this game is coming along so awesome. I can NOT wait to see what this game has in store and all the fun I am going to have playing and streaming it. Also shout out to the Dev that popped into my stream and was super cool <3 can`t wait for more scares! - Cryptid Keeper

It's an interesting premise, but it's current version (10/29/2022) on mouse/keyboard is very rough. You're dropped in a cabin with four potential jobs, Training and then increasing difficulty. Let's just say it took me 10 minutes to figure out how to get out the door to Training because there wasn't an indicator that you had to bury your face in the door and then spam E. I tried the door multiple times from a foot away with no success, so I assumed it wasn't what was supposed to happen. It wasn't until I got so close my lantern was glitched through the door that it worked. The training was very basic, just explaining what the different types of clues look like under tests. Nothing about the key mapping (though it is somewhat intuitive), or how to trap monsters, etc. The game then drops you into whatever mission you chose without much explanation. I started off solo on difficulty 1, and stepped five feet into the maze before my screen got a blue tint and apparently I was caught by Mothman. Second attempt, I found tracks and bones that (when tested) gave contradictory evidence for what the monster was (not sure if the monster changes each run-through or if Level 1 is always Mothman). I went back into the maze to find several bone piles and tracks that gave more contradictory evidence as to what the monster was. I then tried to quit while in the maze, and I had a message pop up that then froze on the screen, so I had to navigate out of the maze back to the house and quit from there. Pros: -I really love this premise! A monster hunter that has to investigate and then catch said monster is something I'm really into. -Doesn't rely on jump scares. At least from what I saw, the atmosphere and isolation is what gives the horror, which is refreshing compared to most horror games. Cons: -Lots of bugs. I'm sure a lot of these issues will be resolved over time, which is why I am holding onto this game and will try again later. -No real explanation as to how things work, which is why I'm not sure if my experience in Level 1 were bugs, flukes, or if the easiest setting is really supposed to be that unforgiving. -The graphics need some improvement. I'm usually not big about graphics, but it was difficult to find evidence unless you are right on top of it. And when testing bones, it was hard to tell if the bone was smoking or having no reaction because the texture of the liquid was unusual. -Also the mouse sensitivity is ridiculous. I had to put sensitivity down to 3-5% just to be able to navigate. Overall, I would like to see how this game improves over time. I've been waiting for a good horror game to come along, and I feel like this is it. It just needs more work.

As a non puzzle, non horror game player, I have to say I am already enjoying it lot. And the VR mode is especially engaging and can startle you, so be ready for that. It is a fun little game with some very clever features. Take it slow and explore your environment before you head out!

Been playing snipe hunt since the demo and it has been a blast! The horror aspect of the game is what I love! The jump scares are not overused and are just right with the theme of being in a maze! Sounds from your surroundings make you uneasy as you go through the maze, something I enjoy to a very large extent. Mechanically, the gameplay is simple but also easy to understand for anyone who is new. You have a variety of tools to use to uncover the identity of the monster which you must navigate through the maze. Each tool has a certain effect that will show off exactly what type of evidence you get. I especially like how you can also lay out a trap to capture the monster! Overall, this game is easily a 5/5 due to the horror aspect and easy to understand system. Not to mention, if you have friends, it's even better! Who will survive at the end?

I've played a bit, and watched it streamed, but it's not my kind of thing so I'll need to be selective with my review criteria if I'm to be objective (with my opinion of all things). Corn: 4/5. Yep, it's a corn ma(i)ze. The puns write themselves. May be 5/5 when the assets improve. Eroticism: 0/5. More like NA. A saddening absence of sex demons and stripper ninjas. There're scarecrows if you're into that though. Instructions: 1/5. What button does what?! Not even the settings menu shows me. Instructions need to be more clear than bumbling about until I get "Press E." My one genuine complaint, and actual serious opinion. Streamability: 4/5. Play the game on stream; get spooked so much you refuse to go into the ma(i)ze. : p So yeah, if you're into horror then at least give the demo a looksee before determining if it's worth a whole *$5!* And that's the sale price. The nerve, charging so much when games are $3 nowadays...
