Game does not support the Valve Index, for no reason whatsoever. You can start the game on it, but you have zero controls, as the game does not recognize inputs from the Index controllers. Devs promised working on it ages ago, but never delivered. Basically abandoned.

Great concept with cool, realistic feeling levels but very poor execution. I hate giving bad reviews but the UX design of this game is atrocious. For example, they could have had you duck forward like they do in real life while going down the slope but instead the game has you wave your hands around in a way you're not even sure it wants you to, in a way completely unrelated to ski jumping at all. And the tutorial makes no sense at all, makes the game basically unplayable. Had I not got this on sale and left it sit there for a few months I'd have requested a refund.

You literally can't even get past the main menu if you aren't using Rift S controlls or the HTC Vive. It could MAYBE work on Index with openxr being used https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1545634111 The game has been abandoned with no updates being posted since 2020 The devs, Yippee Entertainment, were acquired by Team17 in Jan 2020. This game is still published by Kalypso. Do not buy this game 0/10

I recommend this game, if you can get the controllers to work. I'm using the HP Reverb G2 and at first was very disappointed, as I had no control. I have a theory on peripherals and computer games. Sometimes they need time to get acquainted so to speak. Using that logic, I just kept pressing buttons and moving around and voila, they kicked in. I'm still early in the game, but so far it's a blast.

If you like simulation games in VR this one isn't bad. Actual game is better than expected and clearly made by an experienced developer. The graphics are good but the mobile roots show (doesn't effect immersion too much). It still looks good and there are many different slopes that all look unique. Replays are cool to watch and analyze your jump. It's a real game too with career mode and you money to upgrade your gear. The biggest issue is is that it's not roomscale. It's like 3dof game where the environment moves with your head which y hurts immersion and almost makes you sick. I can understand 3dof when you're on the slope to lock you in place but the whole game is like that, which is annoying. Would be better to have a recenter button like a norma VR game. If it weren't for that and the slight mobile look it might be worth full price. But instead it feels slightly awkward at first. but you get used to it. After that the game is fun.

Really random. There was no way to predict whether your doing things was too early or too late. Sometimes I launched perfectly at 2 seconds. Sometimes I launched too early at 1 second.

I have tried the game on Oculus Rift S and it works perfectly, despite the headset not being listed as a compatible device. At first I found the controls a little bit confusing, but they are pretty easy to learn and I was able to get the hang of them after a dozen minutes. The tutorial could be a bit more comprehensive though. For example it doesn't tell the player that he's supposed to look at the wind meter to time his push perfectly. Despite minor mishaps the gameplay is fun, but it gets repetitive after a while. Graphics are okay, they may not be the most realistic, but they get the job done. Right now I can't say if the amount of content justifies the price tag, but as a product it is refined and very enjoyable.
