Out of all the DLC ive played, El Guettar is probably my favorite. It teaches you the valuable lessons that can be transferred to other graviteam games, and TW: Tunisia. That being to use the terrain to your advantage, when to be on top of the hill, and to wait on the other side. It teaches you to use combined arms, lest you risk your valuable panzers and m10's, and teaches you the proper usage of your vehicles and equipment.
A rundown of the DLC:
There are 4 campaigns. The first is the initial battle of El Guettar, as the americans your given abunch of infantry with Kraut cookers (Molotov's). With plenty of machine gun squads, 37 mm anti tank guns, A warehouse full of M3 GMC's, and finally, M10's which in short is a glass canon. Setting up ambushes is important, using the terrain to create kill zones, your mission is to defend, not attack, let the germans come to you. Once the armor gets close, your infantry wont hesitate to throw Molotov's. When your m10's arrive, be VERY careful and reserved, ambush and flank, always.
The German side, your going to have a field day as long as you properly cover your tanks. Let your infantry spot the Anti tank guns, then kindly yell at your panzers to blow them sky high. Preserve your tanks, preserve your mechanized units, do NOT send the tanks in alone.
The 3rd and 4th campaign takes place right after the initial battle of el guettar "Benson offensive" if i recall correctly, like I am in bed, its role reversal time baby. As the americans you got all the infantry, mechanized, and enough Sherman's to take on the 10th TD at full strength. Watch those pak guns, and push hard with your infantry, your 37mm anti tank guns will be plenty of AT that you need
As the Germans you are on the backfoot, though like the Americans a few days earlier, use your terrain, your 88mm, and 75mm AT guns will shred given you properly position, and open fire at optimal times. Hold your strategic areas, dont bother counterattacking unless your confident.
