A hesitant recommendation. Wait until this goes on sale before you buy it. Why? I finished both maps within an hour, and there is only one new weapon available, a weapon that isn't particularly different from the standard greatsword for Kruber, or the Zweihander for Saltzpyre. And having played 200+ hours on console, I can only say that it feels almost identical in gameplay. Castle Drachenfells was a massive expansion with two very large maps and an excellent climatic battle map, full of new art and awesome new weapons. The best expansion by a country mile. Karak Azgaraz is also pretty fantastic. With two large maps and decent climax. The new weapons were only ok though but its almost worth it just for the fantastic new music and the Rangers dialogue. Stromdorf is decent. One largish map and a fairly small one-with a twist absolutely worth lauding-set in a... not too bad new setting. The rain looks ok? To be honest the new maps are rather bland. The fields don't stand out nearly as much as the snowy plains of the mountains, and the city itself is a pale imitation of Ubersreik's grungy glory. Also, its worth noting that Reaching Out is by far the biggest drain on your rig in this game, outclassing even the Garden of Morr and the White Rat for fps drop. I play a comfortable 65 fps on most maps, but find myself dropping down to 43-47 pretty regularly in Stromdorf. The new weapon is a big sword not very different at all from the greatsword, and that is all there is to it. Nothing exciting and honestly dissapointing, imo. We've had new weapons like the Volley Crossbow and the Glaive, so another greatsword is not even worth mentioning. If there was new music, except for one moment in Reaching Out, it wasn't good enough to stand out from the standard soundtrack. I didn't notice. All in all, its fine. New maps always add a little something to a game, even if they aren't very innovative or different from the rest. Worth buying on sale, but otherwise just play it for free with some friends or a generous pubbie.

I bought this DLC because Vermintide is a very good game. So I decided to support the game development buying this DLC as soon as it was possible. But the price/quality , in comparision with the others DLCs isn'ts good enough in my humble opinion. The others DLC are much better than this. More maps, more objets and gameplay in this one is too short. I rather prefer pay 9€ for the other two DLCs than pay 7€ for this. This DLC should be 4.99€-5.49€... I was thinking on claiming for a refund...but then I remember all the good times this game has bring to my life... And almost all my friends need me for playing those maps because they won't buy this DLC. So, I decided to keep the game and consider this a donation for a good cause. I hope Fat Shark will improve this DLC with others object, or anothers "Last Stand" level or something like that. Then I will change my mind and give it a possitive feedback. Sorry for my Thumb down boys... (and sorry for my english)

Look I enjoy this game, but my problem is not with the game it's with this expansion/two maps. I think the main problem is all of the other maps are so well designed and have a wonderful flow and amazing replayability. Where these two maps are incredibly short and in general feel like a jumbled mess. There's nothing new as far as ideas or concepts and it all feels extremely forced and subpar. I can only play the first map and I spent my first two run-throughs bumping into nonstop invisible walls very well illustrating the lack of flow, the environment is dull and lacks identity. The second map I cannot complete because when the "new boss" pops at the end my game instantly crashes it doesn't even generate an error code thank you for the quality bug testing. Bugs aside these maps feel incredibly rust and mediocre at best compared to the shining content of the previous maps. I really want support the developers of this game that I enjoy but honestly not if they want to produce this kind of half-baked content. To be honest I feel the community should hold them to a higher standard than what they've shown here.

Lots of new quality voiceacting, two solid maps that I'll take any day over something like Summoner's Peak. A bossfight that is a breath of fresh air to the gameplay. And to top it all off an extremely satisfying weapon. Is it worth the full price for most people? Probably not. Get it on a sale. If you're an enthusiast though, go for it.

Wasn't happy with this DLC. One of the worst paid DLC for Verms. They seem to be charging about the same as what they do for 3 full maps and 2 weps but now the content is cut in half. I won't be playing these much after the initial release.

One of the lesser map DLCs that the game has on offer, it's still worth getting, but only at a heavy discount.

Love Vermintide (played it for over 100 hours) but the price for 2 mediocre maps is just wrong. I picked it up on summer sale 15% off and I still feel cheated. This DLC shouldn't cost more than $4 regular price.

What can I say? Fine craftsmanship as always. Both maps are beautiful and well done, big and fun.
And now we have actual boss fight.
Weapon is headshot-focused, so it's should be good in pro hands, not some nube-tube. Keep it up, FS, you guys know we always want more.

Low amount of content for 7€ only 2 maps and only one new weapon, Also one of the maps is really short. No idea why they don't make dlc include one new weapon for all characters, it shouldn't be that hard compared to making maps atleast... Minimum amount of content for this kind of price should be atleast 3 maps and 2-3 weapons, this dlc is just lazy and overprised.

Yet another great map dlc from the team, only 2 maps this time but people got what they asked for a Boss fight on 'Reaching out'. One new weapon for Krubsie he needed something specialk he got an Executioner sword that seperates rat head from body. Courier is a sweet map with some great touches in ambient surroundings. I have yet to buy a DLC I didn't like

Not the best DLC since it only comes with 2 maps, but still worth playing it.

"I APPROVE... sort of" Neutral points: -Lohner (Level Narrator?) took an extra swig of Irish accent before giving his reads for pre-level scripts. Jussayin' -Awkward moment where occasionally you'll hearing Kerillian's voice come from Bardin in-game. I don't know how to feel about this. The Good: -More content. Who doesn't want more variety? -Boss + Boss music. This part of the second map was incredibly well done! Voice work for the boss is fantastic too, though he could use a few more lines other than "KILL THEM!" + "NOW!!!!" -Both maps have Tomes and at least 1 Grim. Have yet to find a second on either map. -New Weapon makes Kruber a little more accessible and appealing to those too unwilling to drop their Trueflight Bow/Bolt Staff. The Bad: -Both new maps have a few issues. Courier is loaded with spots to kill safely without getting attacked. You can also get stuck in at least 2 locations on this map where you need to die in order to advance the level, specifically at the Signal Tower and also behind the left wall after you escape darkness (don't go looking for a grim there!). -The Courier is far too easy on all difficulties. It's merely a straightforward trek through various environments, most of which already exist in the game. The ending offers no finale. Imagine doing Garden of Morr without having to break the bell, simply walking through, or escaping the Castle Drachenfels halls without any tides. Pretty map, yes, but YAWN! -Given how short the second mission is, they could have added a third map, but I'm being ungrateful. Overall, another great DLC, but definitely inferior to the previous two.

So i have completed both mission on cataclysm and gotten the executioners sword. Overall i did enjoy the maps and the new sword makes kruber awsome. He went from being bad at every thing to horde killer of the year. Both maps are awsome and unique. The courier starts in green hills but the atmosphere turns depresing as it rains in the cemetary. reaching out was a blast. The town of stromdorf is a large rainy maze and the ending is amazing. Not going to spoil it. Now a lot of people shoot this dlc down for the price compared for content. To me $7 for 2 buetiful maps and an awsome sword is not bad as some other games (cough cough, im looking at you skin packs) and you support a good developer. But if you are on the edge i would wait for a sale. Only problems i have had are i got stuck in reaching out in a corner that was not fun. Overall if you want to support fatshark and get some cool stuff buy it, on the fence, then wait for sale.

This expansion really feels like a step back in quality, especially after the homerun of Karak Azgaraz. I wouldn't bother purchasing this DLC unless you already have all of the others and are the person who hosts games for your group of friends. Pros: - The maps are pretty. Cons: - If you play with any bots, the new maps are downright broken. Bots frequently get stuck, path poorly, fall to their death, or stand around and watch you die. They're also largely incapable of handling the mechanics of the boss fight. - The voice acting and writing has gone a tad off the rails. Most notably, Lohner's accent is distractingly different (the inn-keeper and map narrator). Some of Kerillian's lines also sound like she's using a slightly different accent, but it's subtle enough that I probably wouldn't be bothered were it not for Lohner. One of Kruber's new snippets of dialogue suggests he can read, even though he makes it clear in vanilla that he is quite illiterate (which makes more sense, given he was an uneducated farmboy turned enlisted man in a medieval setting). The writing and voice acting in this game has actually been one of my favorite parts, so it saddens me to see its quality decline in any way. - The level design for the new maps is pretty poor. They rely VERY heavily on invisible walls to pen you in. All of the other outdoor maps in the game, whether vanilla or DLC, just do a much better job of incorporating the map boundaries into the visual design of the level. I like that they're attempting to mix things up with the boss fight. It's just unfortunate that the fight isn't that interesting or difficult (unless you play with bots, in which case you'll probably be soloing the encounter).

The maps are great. Can't say anything about the sword since I don't have it and I'll never get it because there's an incalculably small chance for the RGN loot table to both have the item AND land on it. Just like I have none of the special weapons from any of the other DLC's, despite playing them to death WITH the relevant character trinkets. Getting all the tokens and grims doesn't increase your chances either, six times I've had my roll skip over the special weapons because my group collected one dice or tome too many, incredibly demotivating. I REALLY wish there was an option to choose from all the awards you qualify for with your roll, rather than simply get one at random. That way you would be able to pick one you actually want, even if it's an inferior choice. So all-in-all that's 7€ for nothing but two maps. But make no mistake, they are really, REALLY nice maps. I've had a great time when them so far and found them both beautifully hand-crafted and challenging to navigate in a good way (with many alternate paths to choose from). Although as it stands, I do feel like I'd rather pay more and get at least four or five new maps per DLC, than pay less and get very little. Because let's be honest, if fatshark keeps cutting one map and one weapon with each DLC, the next will be just one map and nothing else for 5€. Not sure how I'd feel about that, this is already skirting it a bit as it is. Had both Kruber and Sienna had gotten a weapon, that'd have been perfect for the price tag in my opinion.

The third adventure pack DLC for Vermintide, we apparently revisit a small Imperial town where the caste of characters in this game first met - before the events that would occur in the original game; as well as the surrounding area outside of it. We also get a single weapon for the Mercenary to play around with - but it is just a modest improvement on the existing Two Handed Sword he wields for those who like their Charged Attack to be used for heavier targets. In the first map, the Courier, we have a rather laid back mission where we are running along in a countryside sort of setting with fences to jump over, rocky outcrops to run around, swamps to muck about in, and neglected areas left to decay. We also technically have a a new mechanic in torrential rain that works quite like the steam from Khazid Kro and a revisit of the Darkness mechanic from the Dungeons from the other two DLC's prior to this - Karak Azgaraz and Drachenfels; but these mechanics were a bit more enjoyable to play around with here. There are a couple of Tomes and a Grimoire to pick up on this map but notably this was a moderately long map and one of the Tomes was a bit of a chore to retrieve... The second map though - that is the really juicy bits for this DLC. In Stromdorf proper we enter the actual town to make our way to 'a meeting site' where the draw of this mission has brought us. At this site we get the 'only' instance of a real 'boss' fight for this game as we have a 'Chieftain' to fight - who looks like a really big, mean Stormvermin but whatever, it is notable. We also get 3 Tomes and a Grimoire to pick up that weren't too bad to retrieve. Overall the only thing I think is rather poor about this DLC comes down to the price on what is being offered. Stromdorf certainly does a lot right in it but some might feel it is a bit lacking - what with only including a single weapon and not having a full map to play. Still, I think it offers enough to be decent and worth recommending regardless of whether you might be a host for friends or not! I at least enjoy doing contracts for this maps when they pop up now and then.

2 short maps. Felt like a beta. Found several spots where you can get out of bounds/ where you could break the rat ai. Marked objectives were buggy. Also the new boss cjarged straight trough a wall into the void and made us stuck in the map. Dissapointment. Thats how I'd sum this up. Also. 7€ is a bit steep for the actual content. Could have been free tbh. Compared to the other 2 dlc's this was really short.

Unlike the other DLCs, this one is only two maps, and one of those is short enough that it's more like half a level. Sure, the weather effects are cool and all, but that hardly matters. Compared to Drachenfels and Kazak Azgaraz, this is just a brief, mediocre disappointment. Wait for it to go on sale.

Well.. I'm disapointed :c Vermintide has always had this great , great level design that invited you in with climate and unique artstyle with each and every mission you played, you could breathe in the atmosfere of Ubersreik and Soak completely in the world of Warhammer (yes i am aware of 9999999 glitches and physics bugh that are in game and kill your imersion, but they weren't enough to break the atmosphere). Unfortunetly this DLC adds nothing to that expierience :c When i played basic game i was always astuounded by the diversity and glorious craftsmanshit of level design everyting wass well thought cerefully calculated, each mission had something unique, that i both loved and hated in it, it had this something that made me want to return and play it agein - over and over agein - this special little something which Stormdorf DLC does not. The maps - greatachievemnt from visual perspective, failed me on the gameplay level, they fell generic as if developers rushed them and didn't have much time to give them final touches, let me explain: The Courier -> very apealing to eyes with it vast green ocean grasslands in a few second after begging turns out to have depth of puddle, invisible wall are placed everywhere, EVERYWHERE in the most b***chslaping way, you can't jump over fence that is as hight as your knees, even skaven can't run streight and have problems with pathfinding, i've notice an entire group of them runing away from me to circle them map so they can enter playeble area, presence of invisible wall is so thick, it's very frustrating and feels cheep, I liked the canyon area tho, it gave me this feeling of uncanny, i felt as if was to fell into ambush at any moment, Grea work on that Fat Shark tho still, rats couldn't find the way down ;_; And the tower is a bl**dy nightmare, i played solo i couldn't continue the story because bots didn't want to gather around letter, you must remove this waiting for playes feature in-mid-of-level because it destroyed 2 of my playthrous, also boths can't go down the tower :c the graveyard on this map -> sux -> when i enetered it i was surounded by wall, just walls nothing more, meaningless useless walls, placed with no reason , it's just bad so bad, also remove Olesia from barge at the end of level she shouldn't be on that barge, even Soltzpyre Said that "let's hope the barge is intact"(he seriously couldn't recognize it? but's maybe it's just me catching petty, meaningless things). Reaching out -> I admit the rain and water effects look beautifull, but the city itself feels very tight packed with all those wood constructions and narrow streets, it feels like in the maze which is good -new expierience and all that c*ap, on the other hand it's claustrophobik, srsly i had no pleasure playing n that place it waas so thigt that if you have shield you own this city and every enemy in it - there is no challenge. Also the level is very long compared to the boss fight at the end. DA BOSS -> he was the reason i bough this DLC to be honest and he was the biggest dissapointment of all, He's just a sized up stormvermin with torches and skulls on his back, i must admit with very big variety of moves and speciall atacks he's a really good well thought opponent, unfortunetly every single lonely rat ogre is much more challenging that him. He was supposed to be the charry on the cake the thing that would drive player to him to get challenged, and what we got was generick bossfight to check on the list and move on. I must admit tho it get's better on higher dificulties. And he could have been so much more, and instead of fancy bossfight to tell stories about, we got half hour of craling in narrow streats of stormdorf killing horded of clanrats with shieldbash, and 4 minutes of bossfight at the end, it's not that he's bad, it's a good boss, but copared to The White Rat's greyseer he falls flat, ha has none of his charisma and charm, just "hey i'm da boss, fight me" he gets killed and mission copleted, it's sad, this entire mission should have been dedicated to him, he shouldn't have just been another generic boss, the ones that you grind in milions in every MMO. Based on my expierience so far i feels as if this DLC was rushed in, just to get fast money, as if Fat Shark needed a quick injection of cash... That leaves me wondering - why? Are they cooking something really big for us? I hope so! It saddens me to leave a bad review, I really want this game to be great i freaking love it (not this DLC tho), you should considere buying it just to suport the devs, they need it, and the game needs it - to get more content, but i can't recomend you this DLC - it's not bad but it's not good either compered to rest of game. I hope you enjoyed how i butchered english, please drown me in hate... in coments below ;) STORY SPOILER WARNING - BELOW . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . So we killed Clan Fester's Greyseer we killed it's Chieftain, what now? The story feels pretty much completed. How are you going to play this out Fat Shark?

One of my favourite maps pack so far. Both of the maps included are absolutely gorgeous, though they are much different from each other. "The Courier" is a vast, open-space countryside terrain. As you thread through this lands, the weather changes (scripted, of course, but still) from warm sunny day to the first signs of incoming storm. The "Reaching out" starts right after you enter the city of Stromdorf. The storm is raging and you must navigate through thin streets and open marketplaces of this city. Can't say anything for a weapon myself, as i haven't got my hands on it, but that is really not the main reason for you to be intersted in this DLC. All in all - a great maps pack, without gameplay-changing mechanics, but one hell of a view.

Not recommended, at least for this price. Two maps, nice but not overwhelming. One nice bossfight though. Buy it when it's reduced. (Or buy the Karak DLC, you get more bang for your buck.)

Amazing aesthetics and re-use of assets to make it fun for playthrough. Long varied maps with few twists make it interesting to play and on harder diffs quite difficult because of many good spots for vermins to spawns. I look forward for more enviroimental styled maps, this one kinda reminded me of Hard Rain from L4D2 hadfun/10

Very charasmatic expansion with 2 levels, I wish there was 3 or even 4, because all in all its only about a hour to play through. The atmusphere is supurb though with rain and little nooks and crannys. Beutiful and well done, only too short ;) - whenever smth is too short its generally a good sign.

Good DLC. The best thing about it is probably the new enemy. Both maps are well designed. They are quite long and enjoyable so they have a lot of replayability. More than one weapon would have been nice though. I like the new sword but more variety would be nice. I believe the DLC is definitely worth 7 €/$ if you enjoy Vermintide. Compared to DLC from other games with comparable quantity of content it's not really expensive.

WARNING: SPOILERS (duh) The two maps are very well designed, especially Reaching Out was a positive surprise. I was worried that the map would just be a copy and paste from Horn of Magnus or other city maps but Stromdorf has a unique feel to it and its convoluted paths are a lot of fun to explore. The boss fight at the end of Reaching Out is reminiscent of WoW encounters and fits well into the dodge-based combat design of the game. The Executioner's Sword finally adds some much needed punch to Kruber's melee options. The weapon is strong but not overpowered and due to its high headshot multiplier has a high skill ceiling which makes it a lot of fun to use for me. Finally the new lorebook pages add some cool fluff to the game with descriptions of people from Stromdorf and references to places you visit in the maps which adds a lot of life to the game.

Nice enough dlc expanding on your choice of maps for one of the best co-op games around. Love those dark and rainy alleyways in Stromdorf. Epic boss fight at the end, hope for more special Skaven added to the main game. Last stand version as well? Nonetheless, HIGHly recommended!

I think this DLC is well worth its pricetag. It is shorter than its predecessors but also cheaper. On the other hand the two maps are in my opinion very good maps. "The Courier" is a very diverse map with lots of different sceneries while "Reaching out" stands out for its boss fight. What I like the most about this DLC though is the Executioner Sword. I'll trade it every time for both the weapons of the Karak Azgaraz DLC which in my opinion were rather boring. The new sword stands out with its high headshot multiplier and as far as I know that is something completely new - especially for a melee weapon. If nothing else the boss fight and the innovative weapon make this DLC worth it in my opinion.

I'm enjoying this DLC tremendously. It's true that "Reaching Out" is not particularly huge or complex, and contains quite a few fences that, uh, fence you in as you're shunted along, but the weather makes up for all that in my opinion. Praise the Rain!

Gives a really cool, unique atmosphere to the game, including lots of mud and rain, and the ending boss fight to the last level is what the base game should have ended with. Depending on how much you need new levels, the DLC may not be worth the full price, but you have no excuse not to buy it on a sale.

This DLC is only 2 maps, adds a new weapon for Kruber (whom I don't play, nor have I seen the weapon). Both maps I thought were pretty good, AI bots do go kind of derp on them though. I'd tentatively recommend this, its 7 doll hairs and has been pretty enjoyable, however a better price point for the content I feel would be closer to 5 doll hairs.

Played both of these maps only twice. Hard on both just to unlock Nightmare, then Nightmare runs on each map. Breezed through these short maps. 7 bucks for a boss fight. Devs have all but pulled the plug like their previous games. i like it but as a fantasy game that banked off of total war: warhammer it died with total war's popularity. i wish i had the experience of its prime for its fun but its 1 new enemy in 3 dlcs and i blame L4D for setting that standard. Oh and higher diffs only get more of the annoying stromvermin.

This DLC isn't worth it! Even on sale its just too much. You can get 20h+ from main game but this DLC is just 2 maps which look like Tripe. Stormdorf was told to be this epic place but I refunded after I saw the first just being foggy open wooden area. DLC should be called -----> Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide - No Immersion!

The Stromdorf maps are one of my favorites. I like the rain effects and the change of weather, but also Stromdorf's medieval narrow streets.

I played the maps before I even pbought the DLC. The DLC is of poor quality compared to the other ones.

I see how people who want another Left 4 Dead would like this, but I don't understand the good reviews. This game is WAY too grindy, the controls and graphics are janky, the loot drops are super stingy, and the game hugely lacks variety. I played coop through the base campaign and a handful of expansion levels (Including this one), and I just can't take it anymore. It's just more of the same.
