Not nearly robust enough for $20 dollars. Not really robust enough for $10. FFS, you don't have an option to pose knees or thighs by default. If you really want a decent poser, you don't even have to download it. Go to webapp.magicposer.com and you can have an incredibly similar, yet more in-depth poser. The only thing it doesn't have compared to ESP is the 2D drawing feature, but to be fair, if you're using this for 2d art, you probably already have a better drawing software on your computer/tablet. Basically functional, sure, but not worth the asking price when there's better out there for free.

---MY THOUGHTS 👨--- Really great application for newcomer digital artists such as myself. With built-in 2D Sketching (Useful if you don't have any illustration application installed) to make the rough sketch for the digital artist to work on when exported and use an external good illustration application. UI and Keybindings are not beginner friendly, for UI I have to select a lot of tabs, layers and buttons on-the-screen and it's just overwhelming for newcomers like me and for the keybindings using the "W, A, S, D"keys can really help the users if they set it by default and not the users that they have to recap it if they are new to this application or freshly installed. ---GRAPHICS 🎨--- 🤔 Decent Not really great nor worst graphics for a sketching reference application. You'll be able to identify props, figurines and structures pretty much easily. ---INTERFACE 📋--- 👎 Bad Lot's of button on-the-screen, layers-settings, and tabs to select and configure if applicable. Really not good for newcomers and quite overwhelming. ---ITEMS 📫--- 👍 Good Small amount of figurines to sketch on. Adequate amount of structures for background reference (The city is pretty much pre-made and not customizeable) and tiny amount of props to work with. ---PC REQUIREMENTS 💻--- 🏅 APU Friendly Used on a 2nd Gen Ryzen 5 APU. ---DIFFICULTY 🏀--- 👍 Significant Brain Usage Users need to practice and get used on the UI, Keybindings, figurine setup and props/structure placements. ---PRICE 💲--- 👍 If it's on sale Small amount of props/figurines/structures. Price is higher because of the Built-in 2D Sketching Tool they made in the application. ---USERBASE 🌐--- 👎 Tiny If you're looking for help for this application for your sketching reference needs. Well you'll need patience because of how tiny the userbase for this application and ofcourse it may take a lot of time for them to answer your questions. ---CONS 🛑--- ❌ No Steam Workshop! ❌ No Steam Cloud Save System!

Could be a useful little tool but only being able to rotate and not freely move the limbs around makes it too awkward and clunky. You'd be better off posing a model in SFM or something and using that as reference

There were quite a few negative reviews for this application, and after trying it out I was compelled to add a positive review. Not sure if the other reviews were related to an earlier version, but I didn't come across any issues rotating limbs, changing poses and did not see lag. The ability to import an obj file, change the shading type then go into a 2D mode to draw over a personalised 3D reference is intuitive. One tip that may be confusing new users - when you select a limb, the overlay which controls the rotation/movement is huge and you cannot click any other limb it overlaps. The only way to select another limb is to click away into empty space, which will deselect all limbs and allow you to select a new one. Also only certain key points of the figure can be moved on the xyz axis (feet/torso etc), all the other limbs can only rotate, which makes sense actually. I'm thinking maybe these two quirks were confusing people thinking they couldn't rotate other limbs or that the app was lagging.

VRoid &JustSketchMe are easier to use, more functional and free. The whole thing is chunky, the pivot point on models, I feel, are in wrong spot. Good luck trying to position a model like it has weight. To be nice, it's garbage, to butthole just use Black Deserts character creation, it works better and the ladies got boobies.

A nice thing to have if you can't draw. On the other hand, you need a high pain tolerance to use it. It's sluggish. It intermittently drops layers, then inserts an extra blank layer with a duplicate name - an apparent memory leak. If you export pics, manually export every pose or you'll be missing some at the end & have to retrace steps. It auto-overwrites any files of the same name, so as part of micro-managing the export folder, rename the files. Or, setup several folders in advance. Also, importing backgrounds doesn't work in any helpful sense, just either randomly smears image on layer, or locks up. Finally, the last 4 3D poses are unreachable for me, because they snap back behind the UI. All that being said, once you get a routine down, it is a helpful tool.

Super lagy. I wish to try it more if it doesn't freeze so much.
