I swear Japanese can actually make good comedy when they try, HaremKingdom is the proof. The game is absolutely [b]littered[/b] with over-the-top humor and intentional ridiculousness, it takes tropes from isekai and fairytale fantasies and twists the shit out of them to fit into the game's crazy story. Comedy is all about subverting expectations, after all. When it comes to jokes, well, it's almost always the delivery that sells. And yeah... This game does [i]deliver[/i]. Seriously, HaremKingdom is legitimately the funniest game (VN) I've played (read) this year, no contest. Royal Seal of Approval.

Wholesome. But honestly this lacks the fun of routing. Sure this is around, of course, a harem, so each heroine isn't focused as much as you may want to see like usual games. Part of it was for the "distinctiveness" so you'd kinda understand for the whole base behind it. The writer tried to fulfill the missing spot by rotating the protag's attention to each of the girl. However, the lack of routing did make it shorter than usual and didn't as immersive which you want it to be with each of the girl. Again, this is pretty well-made tbh. But as far as Smee's games go on, I think Making*Lovers or Sugar*Style is better.

Love the smee games and i love this one too. have all the romance and the comedey down. wish one of thery novels become a anime one day in fantasy land.

The randomness nature of this story is definitely not my cup of tea, but I do appreciate some memorable part within HaremKingdom. The premise was ridiculous and story structure borderline between Moege and Nukige, I’m not a fan of Nukige-aspect but the content outside of these bedroom sections won me over. Each route unravels a different fragment of the mystery making it worth reading through every endings and the final moment at the very end of every routes shine the brightest which sometimes brought tears to my eyes.

The scenes are okay, but nothing insanely innovative.

100% CG in 18 hours. 6 hours for common route and each of the 5 routes are 2 hours. Clean up CGs took awhile. This was way better than I was expecting it to be and I would highly recommend it. The girls are all great and so are the side characters. Tons of humor to go around. The routes aren't really routes just harem antics with some backstory for one character at the end. They are all well worth reading if you like the style. Charlone > Marrou > Hikari > Kiki/Sophia R18 you need to launch the game once before it'll work. It'll say it fails but it really didn't.

Cute characters with sensible personality + Funny dialogue + Nice arts + Detailed BG ++ (quite) Extensive story + Perfect casting VO with great performance ++ Choices + Plumpness & puffiness +++ H-scenes are vanilla - Translation mostly include whole unspoken context of sentence, sometime it's too long compared to VO dialogue. (personally I like 'exact word-by-word translation with just enough explanation but not too much' more.)

Story, art, and above all Voice Acting is AAA. The flute music a straight banger, worthy of cranking up to at least 40/100. 9.5/10 - (Would go to confession for this game again)

this game provides your daily harem needs with waifus with the following descriptions: - your childhood friend but apparently she got isekai'd along with you - your typical mainstream white haired heroine but lovable anyway (WHITE HAIR SUPREMACY) - a clumsy princess from another kingdom that madly in love with you - your own kingdom's god damn sort of minister of finance - some recently freed slaves by trading her with a cup which also recently been drank by the clumsy princess anything else i have to say? WORTH EVERY PENNIES

[h1] Might be the best Harem Nukige I've ever played. [/h1] Great Art, Great Story/Dialogue(on Harem/Nukige Standard), Great Voice Acting(Can't appreciate this enough tbh), Memorable OST(ED stills makes me cry), I love this game sense of humors personally. Great Characters, I loved all of them from chemistry to personality. Almost have the same tier of comedy level as NekoNyan's "Sankaku Renai" translation personally. Some of the backstories are surprisingly emotional, I almost teared up a bit. [spoiler] For me, Specially at Hikari and Marrou one [/spoiler] I might re-read this one day. Overall, HaremKingdom is one of the rare non-nukige VN that focuses on a harem route and harem endings. This is actually REALLY rare amongst VNs, I have read hundred of VNs and can't think of a single one like this. With VN often being a route based medium, each heroine usually gets a route, and once in a blue moon we would get a threesome ending. Harems are usually found in Light Novels and not VNs. Below is my ranking for the various aspects of this VN: Art: Amongst the upper end of VN art. Vibrant color + expressive sprites + decent number of costumes + distinct heroine design. The 1280*720 asset is a minus, however. The game could DEFINITELY use full HD assets. Story: Good worldbuilding, with explanations about how the world works. Comedy is decent, quite a bit above the usual moege. It is a bit cringe sometimes though. Plotholes are all filled in routes. H-scenes: 9/10. Good in both quality and number. Furthermore, HaremKingdom's H-scenes also have bedside conversations before and after the scene, which is great. Mosaics is the reason HaremKingdom gets only a 9 and not a 10. Voice: Very well done and very expressive. The heroines are very expressive even if you don't know Japanese. Heroine: All 5 heroines are distinct and likeable. Extra points for no lolis.

An altogether decent VN that says mostly what it is on the tin. My downvote is for the mandatory incest. Literally unskippable, and it is very, very drawn out.

The title should have been Daily Lives of Isekai Harem King. If you ever watch anime with title Daily Lives of High School Boys, yep, this is more like that. Each heroine is quite quirky in their own ways. The comedies are just gold. There are 5 route in this VN. It'll be harem no matter what you pick. Mostly it's just their daily lives with different kind of style. It's hard to explain without spoiling. Alternatively you can also consider that each route is just different time in one timeline. Each route will also present backstory for each heroine. Overall definitely a very fun read.

The patch didn't work. The, English, translator, uses, too, many, commas. You don't serve on someone. You either wait on or serve someone. How do these writers make all of these mistakes and why don't the editors catch them? It's mind boggling. The writer uses expletives when none were used in the original Japanese and written for the women who would never use them. The writer was most likely TBAC (Matthew Carolan). Having Hikari frequently say "dude", is just the male writer thinking that would be cool and it isn't.

It's a good story but I probably wouldn't have bought it if I understood it was basically a flip book where you don't get to engage with the story

The artwork is good. Sadly, I find myself nodding off to the story. Even the H scenes weren't any better. I tried to finish at least one route but just couldn't take it anymore. There were some funny moments here and there but it's not enough to keep me going. This slapstick harem comedy is a disappointment for me. The plot twist with Marrou was probably the final nail in the coffin. It's just not my thing.

I just finished the game with complete CGs and have seen all choices so here's my review. Graphics and Art - 9/10 - This is definitely a modernized visual novel. Characters have a touch of L2D, most especially when idling, it's not exaggerated but it definitely gives life to the game. Music - 8/10 - There's not much unique soundtracks and you'll definitely think that you may have heard something similar if you've read other VNs but the way the music is composed and when they are played fits the scenes really well. The OP and ED are both bangers, I genuinely felt a sense of satisfaction and loneliness after the credits rolled when I finished the game and the ed played. H-factor - 7/10 - You can get the patch at Johren. Tbh, they're more like a bonus and you can actually read well even without it. In conclusion, the H-scenes are fairly basic and it's mosaic censored, which is possibly the best type of censoring but ehh. Story - 10/10 - This is where the game shines, which should be obvious considering this is a VN but hear me out. In a nutshell, the story is a light-hearted, comedy, slice of life. There's barely any conflicts and they are resolved in a wholesome way. There's a lot of sugar and fluff so if that's whag you're here for, then you're in for a good time. But more than that, the comedy is really good, though the jokes are more often seggs jokes and modern world references so if you're not into that then you might not enjoy it, but I am. Utility - 9/10 Basic settings, there's a lot of save slots, which is very crucial since there's a lot of funny scenes you may want to save and revisit later. I can attest to this. Overall it's a 9/10 if you are into light hearted stories. Also, Marrou is the best girl

Its pretty hard to not skip the dialog, its pretty bad. The only character i like so far is the princess but even so its pretty hard to listen to the dialog in this game. I am tempted to try and get a refund, i would not recommend this game.

The game is hilariously funny, very well written (at least in the first few hours, which i got to read) and has a beautiful artstyle. Then why negative? Because i can´t really enjoy a game, when it´s censored. The name of the game is "HaremKingdom" and there are no adult scenes in it? That´s very misleading in my book. And before it comes to misunderstandings. I know there´s a patch for adults (and i have it installed), but first this review is not about the patch because the patch isn´t available through steam. And second even in this patch there is censoring with pixels. And i know it´s the law in japan, but i´m not japanese, sorry. And also there are other titles here on steam from japan, that are not censored, so it is possible. I don´t know if i will finish this game some time in the future, but right now i got no intention to do so, which makes me a bit sad because it began very promising.

If you've played other Smee games you know what you are getting into. The artwork, characters and backgrounds both, is beautiful. Bright and cheerful. Which caries into the rest of the story as well.the characters are all bright, cheerful, and in their own ways likeable and amusing.

First of all you must download the patch not from their website while the most appealing feature is that. how about the story? the prologue is kinda decent after the prologue the stories becoming more and more random i want to give this a neutral tbh but since there is only thumbs up and down i'm gonna give it a thumbs down.

As of writing this review, the only 2 women that i can talk to comfortably are my mother and my grandmother
