This game is dumb and repetitive. It's like Justin Roiland's GTA. That being said I keep coming back to it to just run around and do crimes and shoot people. Also there is parkour, but no cars, so do with that what you will. The humor is childish and vile but I still get a laugh from the shockingly competent voice acting. Not much variety besides run and shoot but the areas are big so it is fun to fuck around with the different guns and execute sweet slomo massacres. Terrible UI, running speed is weird, I would have preffered a sprint button as opposed to the build-up-momentum thing form Mirror's Edge. But the dev still tinkers with it so maybe things will change. Plz add a bicycle or skateboard or something to make traversing the areas easier. If I was at game informer or some place this would get like 7/10 for sure but since it is just thumbs up or down then it is up, because this game is dumb fun and I think it is a fine addition to your library. You can't just have all bangers, sometimes you need a break from the greats and I think Mental is it.

Gotta be honest, it's not good. I messaged the devs about whether or not it would work with the Pimax, and they said it would. It did, to their credit. They also said "It is a hardcore game and as you notice out of the 40 reviews the positive ones have lots of time because it takes time to get good at it. And once you're good it is literally the best vr game. Unlike many vr games it is very challenging and it punishes you a lot if you don't know how to play." Well, it only had 24 at my time of writing this, so I'm assuming they're talking about a different platform? Except after 17 hours in Blade and Sorcery, 9 in GORN, and 2 in Sairento, I think I know enough about fighting arenas to have an opinion on: -The enemies have no noise to let you know they're there. You can't tell that someone is walking up behind you to hit you, unless the shout at you. And any hit noise that existed was not very audible, IF one existed. -The weapons don't feel satisfying. I whack the same guy 3 times with an axe before he shows any signs of damage, and any hit from a weapon that matters (Tantos may have literally been useless) knocks them away. The best strategy was to camp a corner and just flail my arms, so that they couldn't spawn behind me and hit me without me noticing. Also, you can't even stab with the tantos, and probably couldn't with the sword either. -The movement's not great either. They show off wall running and jumping, but honestly, the jumping I think is broken currently because normally you just "push up on your right touchpad to jump". Well, when I did that, it didn't do much of anything. Then I looked at ADVANCED jumping, which while turned off, I used that explanation for it and it worked. So that was frustrating. Beyond that, the wallrunning is janky at best. The tutorial is bad for it as it mentions "Oh jump off the wall onto the next like this!" Didn't work, so I figured I must be doing something wrong. Turns out the systems just not consistent because sometimes it worked best for me to jump directly off the wall, other times I couldn't jump until I fell off the wall, THEN I could jump. -My hands glitched out about 5 times just trying to pick stuff up. My hand got glued to the floor when I tried to reload the flare gun. They say "Hey use distance grabbing, because grabbing directly with your hands is bugged". Well it's bugged BAD. -Sitting here typing this I saw apparently there's a workbench where you can combine weapons. The tutorial never explained that, so that's cool. It wants to be a lot of things, and unfortunately, it refined none of it. "But it's Early Access!" You may say, "So of course it's rough around the edges!" That's all well and good, except I played Blade and Sorcery and GORN both during Early Access, and when criticized, the devs responded with "Yeah we're sorry, we're working on it." The reply I got was "Well it takes time to get good at it, and all negative reviews just don't have enough time!", and I hadn't even played it yet. I'm not sinking 6 hours into your game so I can't refund it, just so you'll "allow" my opinion. The game's not refined, and certainly not worth $25, especially when full fledged releases of Blade and Sorcery and GORN are BOTH $20 each. To even be considered PLAYABLE in my opinion, they'd need to: -Give enemies walking sounds, so they can't just hit me from behind without me being able to do anything but watch all sides at all times. That's not "difficult", that's bad game design. -Give a more comprehensive tutorial. They skipped over SO much that I figured out on my own, but that's because I'm already dozens of hours deep in this style game. -Make movement better, it's REALLY janky right now. I'm specifically talking about jumping and wallrunning. -Fix picking items up with your hands. It's a natural part of any VR game, saying "Don't do this base action cause it's broken" is pretty weak. -Explain how to use items, because they never explained that in the tutorial. I THINK I figured it out by just trying to stick myself in random places with the syringe. It worked in the neck I'm pretty sure. I would not purchase in it's current state.

I'm using a Valve Index kit. This game is already quite fun, and has huge potential. It takes a lot of what's great about Sairento and Blade & Sorcery, and puts it together with some of its own unique improvements. The game is not without flaws, but the developers are extremely responsive and from communicating with them I think they have a genuine passion to continue improving this game until it achieves their full vision. This game has been receiving extremely frequent updates in response to feedback on their Discord. The game has really really great, versatile movement. Using the stick to move plus pumping your arms to sprint feels good, climbing and throwing yourself feels great, and the highlight for me is the jumping/dash controls, which involves holding a button and moving your controller in the direction you want the world to move, which feels surprisingly intuitive and works even while both hands are occupied manipulating weapons. (For users that have trouble with this jump control scheme, there's an option for simple click-to-jump that you can enable in the settings. I've heard this feels better on the Vive wands.) Beyond movement, the gunplay is really solid and there's a wide variety of weapons. The melee combat could use more feedback, and it's not nearly as good as Blade & Sorcery, but it's probably comparable to Sairento, which I think does it pretty well. The AI is already decent enough to be comparable to Sairento. They also have the start of a weapon splicing system that I think is an absolutely awesome idea. There are also 3 game modes already that offer decent variety and a sandbox mode. I'd recommend starting with the sandbox in hindsight. It's easier to control difficulty and figure things out. There are bugs and things I didn't like: the biggest ones are the lack of sound from enemy movements to give you cues on when they come up from out of sight and the lacking of specific damage feedback when you get hit or when you melee others. Grabbing also has a few issues but the devs are already aware of this. None of these issues are game-breaking at all. But this is an Early Access title, so keep that in mind before you jump in. I'm excited to see where this game goes. It's really fun already. Multiplayer PvP and Coop are on their roadmap and I can't wait! It's gonna be a blast.

This has to be one of the coolest looking but worst playing games ever. It's not just rough around the edges, it makes you bleed. From starting the game (it prompts the default Unity resolution and quality selector but doesn't have the Index resolutions on it) to the absolutely horrible controls. For instance: The main menus are cluttered and start really far from you. The game also doesn't properly detect the controller type so you have to manually select it. There is almost no sounds in the game, which when you turn the music off, because it's really blaring, the tutorial was silent up until the point you break the walls. Selecting a menu item requires holding the trigger down to get the laser pointer, then squeezing the controller. Just try doing that without the pointer moving from where you are pointing, not to mention you have to pick up a lot of stuff in the game and its really annoying to do it this way. No other game that I can think of has this sort of selector, at least it doesn't feel nearly this bad. Dashing and Jumping, absolutely terrible implementation. You have to press the slow motion button to jump or dash, which makes the movement feel really bad since it sometimes triggers slow-mo and sometimes doesn't. It's also really bad at detecting movement. Sometimes you swing to jump and you jump 1 foot, sometimes you jump 10. Same movement in both cases. Jogging and running is probably the worst implementation I've seen as well. Jogging requires you to not only push the thumbstick in and tilt it to move, but also requires you to keep holding in the thumbstick. It should toggle as long as the thumbstick is tilted, and to be honest, in a game like this you should just run by default. Running requires you to not only job using the above method, but also swing your arms. It just doesn't work, at all. Wall jumping is super buggy. You can't wall jump if you are facing the wall at all, which it doesn't tell you and took me forever to figure out why it didn't work. On top of that, the previously mentioned problems with jumping make it impossible to wall jump properly since half the time you fall down. Wall running sort of works, but sometimes you don't stick to the wall, and sometimes you just randomly fall off while moving. It does not feel good and needs a lot of calibration to work.

A really fun game to play and enjoy, I have beta tested it for a short period of time, and to see the glitches slowly get fixed is an amazing thing, the devs put so much effort into this game and to see how far it has come, puts a smile on my face. PROS: Funny, Entertaining, Realistic gun and bullet physics, graphics are optimized, wide headset support, and much more. CONS: Some lag on side missions, and because this is a new release, it can possibly have bugs ( None that I have seen yet )

I love this game. it needs to be hyped more. its not AAA but feels like it should be. runs smooth, sounds good, makes me crack up, great actions. guns, slow time, get lost in the world map. i love it. i do hope they update the npc look a little at some time, and way are there no woman in the world. That feels a little off. but all in all i love it. keep up the good work. don't abandon this game. update ad keep it coming. i would and will if need pay for DLCs for this game support its growth. like i said keep up the good work.

I liked the game and its potential, but most of the things I can't access. Especially the main menu for the game, without it I can't access my weapons, because of that combat for me was no option, if anyone can tell me how to get the menu opened up since I play on the Oculus that would be much appreciated

Ill be short and sweet, game has many issues and support is terrible, devs gave wrong info to resolve first issue (black screen on loading game) i resolved after hours on forums, second issue is 8 mins into game (2nd tutorial mission to learn to climb) the game just breaks and ends there. devs looked into it and have no idea and passed me off to the main dev who has since ignored all pings, messages ect despite being on, i regret buying this and will fight steam for my refund. 2hours play time? just me reinstalling and trying again and again and again 0 stars

It is crazy that this game only has 20 reviews and a mixed rating. This game is brilliant fun and infinitely better than a game like Gorn with its 1000's of positive reviews. I strongly recommend that you buy this game play it for an hour and draw your own conclusions. If you don't like it you can always get a refund. Well worth the money. Highly recommended and now one of my favourite VR games.

I streamed this for a couple hours yesterday, one of the devs joined me and watched it and helped me out. Not even 30 minutes in, I was already sold. The soundtrack, the godly soundtrack that just fits this type of game unlike others that are similar to it. The nice metal soundtrack that just makes you want to destroy any opponent that comes your way! The parkour feature, even though I suck at it, was a great feature, again like any other that I've seen. Some suggestions here and there but the system, the funny lines some involving my favorite words, the gameplay, some hilarious choice of items, and everything else in it, was worth the buy. I cannot wait for future updates. Keep up the good work fellas. Keep it metal too! \m/ Now, it's time to slay some more!

The movement in this game uses arm swinging, with no variants which I am not a fan of and beyond that it was very stuttery, as I moved my arms the exact same motion constantly it would randomly stop for a second ect. The jumping in this game is actually some sort of "dashing" system that doesn't fully work which could be because it's momentum based and with the stuttery movement you could randomly stop when you're trying to jump the gunplay now this could be a me issue but the first time firing a gun every time the game lags which it doesn't do in boneworks, pavlov or any other game, my computer is of high quality i7-7700k CPU, 1080 graphic card, ect. so I don't understand while this happens here and in no other game in my vast library the melee combat, it is "fine" better than having a point and on touch they die but it's slightly inconsistent sometimes with the blades for example it will knock them out then on a different person will instantly cut them in half the enemies.. they're basically silent so it's hard to notice when someone approaches and when they are using guns and you shoot them they don't react, which you may not think is that much of a problem but headshots don't 1 or even 2 hit so when you have a few people facing you, you cannot stagger them at all... what would be nice would be being able to body shot a few people and as they stagger finish them off or have headshots kill them. using a mixed set up. I am someone with a O.G Vive and index controllers so in the setup I chose "index" since that's my controllers which made the money number invisible for me to see as it's on the top right which i'll assume is because the index headset has a wider FOV or something. small issue that should be fixed I cannot stress enough that after an hour I didn't have a moment of fun and this game might get better with time but I will not re purchase this game as I don't trust that it'll be fixed. games should have bug testers ect. to ensure the game is good and playable for everyone.

first i want to address the bad reviews. there is a option in game for turning slow mo off when jumping. second there is more content that a hours worth, i have no idea who could beat survival, the COD zombie like mode, in a hour. there is wonky controls, but the weapons are fully articulated. so there will be some work needed there. This game is definately growing on me. at first the clunky controls and some of the action being so chaotic was a bit difficult to deal with, for instance movement is too convoluted, and when your trying to make decisions at breakneck speeds it gets annoying. also theres some wonkyness with weapon handling, which is odd, and some physics issues ( im all up for slowing down the entire pace of the game, have a little more slow motion time, and making the physics heavier, so it feels like im really whacking them, then some grab zones need some reconfiguring. THAT SAID, i actually quite enjoy this game, and considering its state when just entering early access, im pretty confident this game will thrive and become even better. its hard at times, but thats part of the learning process i expect. theres alot here, so theres lot to learn. hopefully they will polish and work on mechanics before adding more weapons and stuff. but ya very cool and fun. id definately reccomend it, even this early in its development.

Man this isn't even the same game that I originally played. That's okay, I don't mind that the developer wants to do something new, however, I wish I could play it, but it's absolutely inundated with issues. Enemies and all NPCs are literally invisible, the guns are very not good, the recoil system is pretty awful, the gunplay feels floaty and loose, guns sound weak but their recoil is insane. The game is very uneven as it stands, but I couldn't really experience it because like... everyone was invisible. I tried to at least see what was there, and it seems like it has potential, but the performance was truly heinously terrible. Things were stuttering or laggy, the game was chugging horribly even without rendering any NPCs. The gun operation felt floaty and just overall like you could easily miss a reload because there's almost no physics applied to anything. The climbing feels just truly awful. In most games I can launch myself and catch myself on upper parts of the terrain or fling up a few extra rungs of a ladder, but because the hands have no physics in MENTAL it becomes a terrible feeling timing game to even climb a ladder. Also "realistic recoil" is a really generous way to describe the guns in this game. Every gun feels like it has absurd amounts of recoil, even holding guns with two hands, they jump around like crazy. Also for some reason the drum mag SCAR that police drop is a literal minigun??? Why does it shoot so fast? Why does the AK-74U kick like a bronco? The starter guns feel like they were the only ones that were considered, but I only tried a handful (because again, super stutter-y and no NPCs were rendered, even after a restart) Though there was some good, I would definitely come back to this game if I could-- actually play it? It seems there's an okay amount of stuff to find. The voice acting... exists. Somewhat cringey, maybe seeming like it's more clever than it should be. The guns work, and the reloads feel... uhh... well they just feel. I wouldn't mind trying this more, but obviously that'd be difficult, but from what I can see, it feels like a subpar shooter with a thin layer of open world strewn overtop. If this game changed: -The gun sounds -The recoil -The performance issues -The climbing -The lack of interactivity and physics Then this might be something kind of special, but for now, it's really hard to recommend.

After giving it an honest try I have to say they nailed a lot of the mechanics. The game is doing a lot of things right that I see poorly executed on other platforms (for instance the object handling mechanics in boneworks where your arms are spaghetti). I like how smooth and accurate the movements are, and how you are actually able to play around with your environment without glitching out. Cannot wait until this game becomes multiplayer. 5/5

Controls are way to difficult and complicated for the HTC Vive. Please keep it simple Devs! Why do you want this to be so complicated to pick up and go? Make it easy to use so we can just pay the game, for crying out loud. You do not need to make the gameplay complicated to make it fun. When is the next update coming to fix bugs?

This game is taking WAY too long to load. It took me more than 10 mins to load the initial game, but when something finally loads into the headset it says "Loading" in text with a galaxy background for an additional 5-10 mins. THEN I finally got to the menu where you select options and controllers... I pressed play... and guess what? Another "Loading" screen. I sat in this particular "Loading" screen for 10 mins and decided to refund. Poorly optimized game so far, I would say that I'd come back and buy it if it were fixed but I'm not going to lie to myself, I am not going to play this game period.

This game is a lot of fun. Essentially, it is very similiar to Grand Theft Auto but in VR. The huge open world VR is something I feel can't be found elsewhere. There were a few things I found frustrating (the difficulty scale when moving from regular arenas to bosses..some of the bosses felt way too hard in comparison). I think my biggest complaint is when you decide to fight a boss, it locks you into the fight...you can't back out in order to try to ramp up your character. On sale, the game feels like a steal but for the price of $30, not sure I can wholeheartedly recommend. Definitely pick up on sale but beware some of the quirks of the game.

A very fun and addicting game in the vein of GTA or Postal 2. Has a surprising cool story mode with bosses that will for sure kick your ass the first time you fight them (unless you're dual wielding lmgs or using the auto-shotgun, then they become pushovers). While it's still in early access and does have multiple bugs, there is a lot of potential and I highly recommend playing the game to support the devs.

What a crazy experience! Open world Grand Theft Auto in VR, complete with random scattered missions, fun humor, and a huge variety of ambitious gameplay mechanics. The devs took a lot on to bring this to early access and it is a GREAT early access game. It took a bit to get used to a lot of the gameplay elements, but once you do, it's very satisfying. This is an early access game, so we should expect there to be rough spots that can be smoothed out. Personally, I'd like to see improvement to the melee actions. But overall, man, I'm totally impressed with the devs here and I do believe this will turn into GTA VR. Let's keep this project going with our support.

Note: I played and tested the Open World Update. I believe the game is in a much better state than some of these earlier negative reviews. I think this game has amazing potential, and I hope people are not swayed away from some of the earlier reviews from earlier versions of the game. After playing through the main story missions multiple times, and speaking with the devs about their ideas for the future of this game, i believe this game is top of the list for its type/genre. I was offered a key for the game while testing, and let them know it wasn't necessary, I want to support the project and purchased the game once it was available. The gun fighting is very fun, it offers something for everyone. You proceed through the levels fighting in cover, reloading guns in a realistic style, or go HAM running into battle Akimbo fast reloading and mowing down everyone around you in a more arcade style. The Slomo / Parkour system lets you do fun acrobatics kill shots. Theres something very satisfying about jumping in the air in slowmo spinning in a circle with Aks in both hands mowing down enemies, or wall running at your enemy, jumping over them as you land 100 bullets in their head. The game is funny, and entertaining, I highly recommend the game, and for everyone to join the discord and leave all feedback and ideas for the devs

Funny open World, nice gameplay, has some problems and bugs, but it's alrerady big fun :) Some things in the old version felt nicer for me(maybe you can add it as a sidequest battlearea, where you can earn some money) but it's a big improvement and i look forward were it will go! But why do i have to reload the shotguns manually, while i can move any other gun to the mag to reload?

First of all: This game is definitively a work of love and dedication! It feels like it was made by a rather small indie team and for sure it is not a AAA title, but it has a consistent art style and there is a lot to do and to discover in this open and vivid world. Besides running around and doing crazy stuff just for fun, there are hidden collectables to find and you can talk to people which will give you jobs to do. With the money you earn (or steal) you can buy better weapons and upgrades. There is a main story and sometimes you need to fulfill side missions to earn enough money to buy a specific weapon which is required for the next main story mission. The game is VR only and you can climb, grab, throw, shoot like expected, but also move round freely in this open world using smooth locomotion and jumping, which requires VR legs or a strong stomach. Currently the game is marked as Early Access and has several issues. My system consists of AMD Ryzen 5800X, NVIDIA Geforce 3070 TI and Valve Index and I get lots of reprojections which adds to the nauseating effect when walking around. When climbing several containers while beeing shot at the missing haptic feedback when grabbing a ledge made me fall down, but fortunately there is no fall damage. Several times I lost/dropped my weapon while running/jumping, but since all weapons you currently own can be retrieved any time by opening the weapon store (at your current position anywhere in the world) this is no big issue. The last issues just described give a good description about the state of the game: It is very well playable, but has issues which can be adjusted to, ignored or worked around. So if you don't need AAA gameplay and graphics, but can enjoy idie games with lots of details and freedom it is worth a try. I really do enjoy playing MENTAL!

This game has a crazy amount of potential in only the first little bit I have played! For an early access game, this game has tons of unique game mechanics I havent really seen before. Even the menu lobby is fun to mess around in? I joined the discord to see what is coming and they are adding an entire open world city to the game. Looks like it will have a whole lore to the game too. They have entire weapon collections with a leveling system and it looks incredibly more fun than a lot of junk I see on the store lately. I had to write this review because I do not think this game deserves a bad review whatsoever. I think a lot of bad reviews on this game are from people who dont understand what is to come and that this game was in Early-Access. Of course it might have some bugs and issues, it is literally not finished. But I really think this game is gonna take off when it is polished and revamped with the new open world update. Very excited to see where this goes keep up the good work devs.

Ok so last year the game didnt work for shit. But this day i loaded up the game to see if it works now and it did!!!!! The game in general is really damn good. Even if the quality is pretty rubish. Sure, the game is annoying at times and the npc swear like they never swore before but you gotta give the devs the benefit of the doubt. In general the game is AMAZING and cant wait for the new update!!!!! Keep it upppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This seems to be a movement based game. It has very few movement option though. Please add controller forward movement and let us rebind in game. There were many bugs in the first 5 mins, some requiring restarts to get hand control back. Weapon mod bench worked once, then never again. The pouch reload is great for dual wielding, great touch. It just isn't polished yet. It has so much personality and I really want this game to be good, its just not there yet. Keep pushing devs, make stick death vr good.

I love this game so far but fyi it is seriously intense. I literally had some of the best time I had in VR, you can do wallrun kills like Titanfall once you get a feel for it. The guns are very detailed, definitely better than Boneworks. The melee is very linear and punhces dont really work i think. But overall this game is an absolute blast. I dont know how it isnt more popular yet. You can even smoke weed and do other drugs lmao and they give you power ups. I would recommend everyone who cares about gameplay and action, not about story and a polished feel. There is no story and kind of like b&s there are arenas. There are a few different modes and maps. The game is very raw, but for me it honestly makes much of my childhood dreams come true. There are weird bugs sometimes that can really break the flow of the game... I hope this game will eventually become a VR classic but at this stage i can see how some people can get frustrated with the bugs. I really like it so far and would recommend to anyone who likes games like maximum action haha Initial Review: Its very fun and kinda rougelike. The gunplay and slow mo is sick. I will update this review in a few hours after I play some more.

This game is absolutely insane!!! Almost like Sairento but gives you more freedom. Guns are very well made and you can get collateral kills with some. Wallrunning is hard to get used to but really fun. I wish there was some parkour only maps. I am playing on Vive and i noticed the advanced jumping function was a bit hard to use so I am using the normal jumping. Also I think the game would really benefit from better lighting and visuals. I love the stick figure action but with better graphics this game can seriously blow up.

I just bought a Rift s and I really like this game so far it has very unique mechanics. After testing for a while my pros and cons are Pros -great movement system (I love that there is no teleporting) -guns feel great, cool bullet physics -cutting up enemies feel very satisfying -there are rpgs and other eplosives Cons -sometimes the enemies are too hard or I'm not good yet lol -tutorials are too long and boring -needs a lot more polish and the graphics can be improved -sounds are not amazing and music starts WAY too loud -the enemy masks should be on by default they are funny

This game does take a while to load but honestly once it did I was spawned in facing a fucking planet 4 times the size of my yknow available FOV so I start the game off nearly shitting my pants and then went on to shit my pants some more, but in a good way. I’ve tried one very small map so far for combat which honestly left me wanting. There is basically no feedback when you hit an enemy and they don’t react at all so you can basically just waggle you way to victory. I literally ran from corner to corner swinging my arms to sprint and the movement itself was enough to kill anything in my path. I wanna love this game but so far it just feels a little too Alpha. I’m not gonna refund cuz I have high hopes but right now, especially with the awful index controls, I’m kinda left with a sour taste. If they could make an options where you jog all the time and sprint by waving your arms WITHOUT PRESSING THE AWFUL INDEX JOYSTICK IN, I would probably love it. Idk. I’m borderline rambling right now so I’ll probably edit this later but yeah be careful buying this until it gets a little more polished. Even just a little.

My main complaint in my original review was the jumping. I'm not going to explain what was the problem, but I got a response from the Dev on my review, and 2 days later the new jumping option is added, and it feels great. It is exactly what I was hoping for. The way you jump is now based on the direction you were last moving in, and instead of the arm movements you usually have to do you just press a button. And now that I can fully enjoy the game, well, it's amazing. You can jump on walls, shoot people below you, slice people into pieces (like that scene with the lasers from that one Resident Evil movie), you can (try) to ricochet your bullets off a machete, combining weapons, there's a lot to do. It's sort of a sandbox, but not completely. I mainly say that because you have to buy weapons, but once you have bought them a certain amount of times you can infinitely by them for free, which is a great addition. There are also character upgrades / different characters that have different attributes like you jump higher, or have more health, stuff like that. And another thing, the reloading: You can reload like normal. Pull the mag out, put a new one in, yadayadayada, or you can drop the mag out and auto load one in and get back to shooting, which makes you feel really cool. The only complaint I really have now would be the bugs that occur every now and then like your hand get frozen in mid air or go through the big glass walls in the prototype map, but there aren't too many bugs, especially for a game in EA. Probably the worst thing is the enemies. Their movements feel clunky ( doing things like just clicking around a corner instead of turning), which in a VR game can be a little annoying. They are also really quiet making it hard to know you're being attacked. While the enemies are annoying, it's not holding the game back. I think Mental is a great game with lots of potential. My review probably didn't even scratch the surface when it comes to explaining everything you can do in the game, so I recommend your try it yourself. Edit: Well I definitely hyped that up a bit too much. The gameplay isn't that great, and a big sandbox that gives you lots of things is only good if there's a lot of stuff to do with them (H3 VR is a good example of lots of stuff, little to do). And while there definitely are some modes and maps, the core gameplay just doesn't feel great. Wall running is a pain if you're trying to do some cool looking stuff while shooting on the wall. Since you have to adjust your stick to move with your head, it's a real pain to get used to, which nobody wants to deal with. STRIDE does wall-running great, and yeah that type of gameplay does not work for every game since it requires a lot of movement which you can't really do while shooting someone, but this system is just un-intuitive. Claiming something takes a lot of skill is not an excuse either. I can't wall run in real life, so why would I want to spend time figuring out how to in a virtual game? I just want to hop in and do some cool stuff. That being said the GTA looking update could be a change for the game...if it ever comes out. It keeps getting pushed back like a payload that's been left unattended by the team pushing it, so I hope it even comes out. Better yet, I hope it's good, as it could take the game from, "Good concept done rough", to "Fun game probably worth some of your money". Original Review: As much as I want to recommend this game, I just can't because the jumping. Now saying you dislike a game because of it's jumping might sound small, but just look at the trailers and how much they jump in that. Now imagine you had to move your finger to to the top of the touch pad, move your arm down, and then push down on the touch pad just to jump. I've heard people say the movement feels great, but I don't they are using Vive wands. The rest of the game is pretty fun, combining weapons, chopping people. Couple other things like the pump shotgun being a little clunky, and enemies just coming from nowhere, but other than that the only thing really holding me from enjoy the game is the movement.

Really fun to play, and is one of the most accessible in the physics generation of VR. With only a few minor issues for a game still in development, I'd say it's definitely worth getting now, before the game is polished, and it blows up

Game played using HTC Vive Pro with Vive Wand Controllers. This game is the most fun I have had in VR up to date! The combat is intense and challenging, guns feel good and melee is very satisfying. The parkour is very fun as well. Game is well worth the money if you are looking for a roguelike game!

I already refunded this game. The game is poorly optimized, the controls for jumping is over complicated, the running is down right bad. I will probably return to this game once it is out of early access(if it ever does).

i bought this on sale for $10, and it's barely worth that- to think that the devs think it's worth $25 off sale is completely insane. janky controls, awful UI, and AI that does nothing besides crowd you.
