Got it on sale to do some video editing.
The Good:
For encoding videos its very quick. Surprisingly quick unless its calculating graphics data which can take ages , even on a small clip and for no apparent reason!
With a bit of tinkering you can make your own transitions between cuts.
Threw pretty much everything at it video wise, some things wont import and will crash the programme. Quick work around was to import the cut into a quick editor like handbrake and export.
Good Audio editing under the hood of this but for real deep edits use audacity.
User Interface is pretty good especially with a multi monitor set up.
Had zero problems with flying threw film reels to cut a section out or edit a section.
Some good video editing options in there.
The Bad:
Animation, you can do your own animations for objects in this but is the exact same as the old version from 2015, including the same bugs!
You wont be able to do a lot of things you can do in adobe premier or sony vegas. Audio scrubbing / preview is non excistent and can only be previewed while playing the clip.
There is a lot locked behind the ui you will never notice. ( art package and a good audio editor)
Title editing is awful, your better of doing it in your fav art editing program and importing them.
But for very quick title editing its does what its ment to do.
A lot of effects are locked behind a paywall but you can make your own if your not to lazy.
Thing is a lot of them effects used to be free in a previous release that i got years ago!
Having said all that: Since I got it on sale for around £20 Im pretty happy with it, especially for exporting!
Would never pay full price for this though. Needs a lot of work and considering I purchased the 2015 version of this which may well be better than this one....
