A long time ago I wrote a review for the TSW2020 editionf of this route. For TSW2 there now is a major upgrade that makes this lovely route even more attractive. The basic version represents a 25 miles heritage route in the UK countryside. It comes with a class 47 engine and the class 09 engine and Mk1 coaches. The amount of content is a bit low, 28 timetable services, though there is variation because the include run-around services and a bit of shunting at the stations. The main feature is the beatifully modelled landscape and the engines are OK for me.
On the downside there are some issues with game save in combination with signalling.
In addition, you can buy two loco DLCs, the class 33 and the class 52. Both of them are nice but expensive, no additional services and no wagons.
Also you could use the class08, class31 and class 20 to increase variety.
In this upgrade a lot is changed. You get some additional depot servies and if you also own the Northern Trans Pennine, the Heavy Freight pack and Tees Valley line, variety in rolling stock further increases and the class1010 will drive in its own timeslot.
An absolute highlight for me is the working old UK level crossing with fences that close the tracks when allowing road traffic. This really is awesome.
Also now some ards are populated with engines and wagons along the route, contibuting to the atmosphere of the route.
If it is only about this route, you need to spend a lot of money to enjoy it in its full scope, but the other content is worth its money if you like the old UK stuff.
A very small detail, the semaphore signals have sound, but you only will hear it if you are very near.
