I decided not to buy this DLC but ended up when I bought it. The main reason to buy it was that DTG put a lot of effort in updating the RT route. I have some mixed feelings: 1. The model looks good, but does not offer a new driving experience. 2. It has two nice features, destination boards and the thyristor sound. 3. Wagons do not add anything new. 4. The AFB function is bugged. 5. The three scenarios are dissapointing, just ordinary drives. One of them is supposed to drive an empty train, but passengengers are still visible. 6. A fair number of services is added and the variety in stock doubles in service mode. But the services seem not to add any interesting game play. 6. You can use the loco for the MSB route and some other newer routes as well, though no new services or gameplay will be added. As said, mixed feelings. A missed opportunity to add some yard tasks (switches were changed to manual, but you cannot access the yard areas). I decided for a downvote this time, but for half price it still may be an interesting purchase.

I love the Taurus. It is my personal favourite electric loco ever. It looks stunning and sounds crazy cool, especially the ES64U2 which is this specific loco. DTG has done a pretty decent job with adding it into TSW. It looks superb! The curves are right and it looks and feels very good. However, the sounds are... not great. The distinctive notes as it begins accelerating don't sound much like the real thing, but you can clearly tell that is is a '182. At mid-high speeds it actually sounds pretty ok and the initial notes sound a bit better when slowing down to a stop. The features are nice, proper cab procedures and set-up as always. One thing that annoys me a little is the mirrors when departing- you can't open or use them. If I am completely missing it and you can, please tell me. I just really wish that this came out with a new route with something that isn't the doppelstock. Yes double-decker coaches are very cool, but we have MSB and RSN already! The Taurus is used throughout Europe and there are plenty of amazing routes you could've put it on. How cool would an Austrian Railjet be or even just the standard OBB single-deck coaches on the Semmeringbahn, or even an ES64U4 variant for PKP Intercity, a Polish route would be out of the ordinary and really spice it up. I just think that this only being on the S-Bahn is a bit of a weird choice as you can't really enjoy it at speed or haul freight. I just hope it gets more use with another route soon and gets some services on the RSN or MSB for freight or even passenger as they are much more enjoyable routes than the Rapid Transit. However, overall it is a well made fun to drive loco that is worth the £12. I just hope that it gets some more use on other routes. Edit: No road-runner too :-(

This is actually a very well done train. Train looks absolutely stunning (as do all models in this game), but unfortunately it's rather limited in scope. Not necessarily a fault of the train, but more along the routes provided. Apparently the percentage chance to encounter this train as AI in Main Spessart Bahn and Ruhr Sieg Nord are very rare, as I've driven almost double digit services along the two routes, but have yet to encounter it as AI. Maybe it's like that in real life, with such low percentages, maybe not, but don't go expecting to see this as AI anytime soon for freight services. Interior cab is modeled very nicely and features all of the usual amenities, but this train sounds nothing like it's supposed to in real life. Check YouTube videos of the 182 or ES64 Taurus and compare it to this. Sounds completely wrong tbh, not sure what went wrong here as LIRR M7 sounds close to real life along with the 146/185. I would recommend it, but only if you do not care about audio and are just fine with driving the train, but not seeing it as AI in the freight routes.

I write this as someone who has heard this loco in real life, and also played with this loco on other Train Sim Platforms (including the original TS and the release from JustTrains.) Overall, this loco looks amazing. I really think it's nailed graphically. However I can't get over the disappointing sound. I know it's an approximation and some won't mind however the sound has to be right for the ES64 - it's the hallmark of the thing. Roblox has better sound for this and its so frustrating that the Previous TS version sounds better... so overall I can't recommend without a sound fix.

A great addition, with the improvements to the signaling on the RT route this loco is a welcome addition. If you a fan of German routes the BR 182 is a no brainer, set to appear on MSB & RNS this DLC is probably set to be the best value for TSW.

Great stuff DTG another great locomotive to drive, As far as I'm aware they are adding services for MSB and RSN with the 182 so more to look forward to. Looking forward to the next DLC!

This DLC would get, on a scale from 1 to 10, an 8. The model itself is nice, it is very functional and useable on almost every german route. A sad thing is that the 182 is only useable with Dosto carriages on Rapid Transid which i think is really sad. But still, the DLC is worth to buy if you seek for a realistic BR 182

The new cross compatibility is good, just don't forget the Rapid Transit add-on. You still need it to use the locomotive. Also, I noticed the AFB system was not usable, and there were only 3 scenarios in Rapid Transit, not including regular services. The next time it is updated (if ever), I would want the AFB system in place. I am impressed about the PZB and SIFA systems, bit I think on the Rapid Transit DLC, there should be LZB functionality, and have the 182 drive under LZB between Bitterfeld and Leipzig Messe.(Note that trains on most parts of the track has trains going at 200kph) Beyond that, it is a great add-on, with a splended starting sound, and more controls.

This loco is far from perfect, but really helps add to the Rapid Transit route, and is a nice one to drive. There are some sound issues, and I have not tested PZB yet on this loco at the time of the review, but it's worth it at full price, it really helps improve the Rapid Transit route.

This review aplyes to the BR 182 and 155 This is my favorite German loco, and its been recreated perfectly! It looks amazing and can be used on all other German routs. It sounds amazing! I cold not recommend it enough same with the DB BR 155 Ps for some reason Steam shows that i have zero hours played, but i have 2,000 on record.

After more testing it looks like main computer screen that shows traction force values is COMPLETLY BROKEN and nobody gives a s... about it. Parking brake in some cases is also broken. Wait till they fix this.

A sports car in the shape of a train. Incredible acceleration and top speed. Currently the fastest locomotive in TSW. The simulation depth I think is lower than the BR 155 but is a joy to drive with the streamlined controls. A good mix between analogic and digital. Very versatile being able to use it in 3 different routes in the sim so far. Passenger and Cargo.

I really like this loco. Great physics as well as graphics. Finally, we got a German loco with a modeled machine room. The sound is not the best, but I hope for a sound mod.
