Nederlandse versie hier beneden. Over the years, Train Simulator has added a lot of routes. You can think about this whatever you like, but every now and then there is a real jewel between them. The Hamburg-Hanover route is such a jewel. And although this route dates from 2013, it hasn't lost any of its popularity. The route is long and varied, with numerous large and small stations and freight yards. The DB ICE 2 and the powerful DB Class 101 are included to drive the high-speed route. Speaking of which, the maximum speed is 'only' 200 km / h. The trains can do faster than this. Shunting work is provided by the DBAG Class 294. If you want to expand your collection, this route is highly recommended. Apparently the developers have really done their utmost and you encounter just a few irregularities. But I keep wondering why the city name Hanover is used, in stead of Hannover. However, one thing has become clear to me. The Deutsche Bahn should not let me drive this high-speed route in real life. It's guaranteed I will arrive a couple of minutes late at my destination. Rating: 9/10. Nederlandse versie. Eén ding is me echter wel duidelijk geworden. De Deutsche Bahn moet mij dit hogesnelheidstraject in het echie niet laten rijden. Ik kom gegarandeerd steevast minimaal drie minuten te laat aan op de eindbestemming. Waardering: 9/10.

This is one of the best routes for Train Simulator. It gives opportunity for many diverse train operations: high speed, long distance passenger, freight, shunting. The route is great for HUD-less driving, as all speed restrictions have warning boards. With enormous number of loco DLC available, it is a good start for a large German collection. The main gripe I have is that the route lacks its both landmark trains: Metronom and BR424. To enjoy it fully you thus have to add 28€ to its price.

A very nice and very long 156 km/96mi route which will keep you busy for an hour in the ICE2. Max speed on this route is 200 km/h (120 mph) and is governed by the LZB system. The Hanover and Hamburg stations/cities are very well modeled and the big plus here is that this isn't much of a hit on frame rates. I have the draw distance set to 60/70% which makes a heap of difference in frame rates. This is because the simulator has to load smaller chunks of data to render the next part of the route thus having to invest less effort to do so. Some routes show this. You see the horizon being built up. But on this route this is really acceptable. You don't really notice it. And that makes for a very pleasant experience. The scenery in between the two cities is beautiful. I had multiple emergency stops because the SIFA system kicked in while I was outside taking pictures. One of my favorite routes thus far. Cheers! Quite long, quite fast, quite good overall. Definitely worth the £10 price you can get it for in the sale.

This is a very good route, it features slow stopping services loads of freight and high-speed trains! What more can you want? Slow amarican trains?

If you like German routes, you won't be disappointed with this one. It's the first to use the more advanced caternary system. It has LZB and both long distance passengers runs and cargo hauls. It has good performance, especially compared to later German routes. The only downside is, once again, DTG failure to implement the PZB system 100% correct for the whole route. Still it's a lot better compared to other German routes. [Edit 4-5-2017]: Fixed typos.

I think the route is pretty impressive, it has a great Highspeed section and what's really great, The Jet train from Christrains can really work on this route. The only downside is that the ICE 2 after the Highspeed section the ICE kicks PZB in, also the BR 101 which is delevered with this route doesn't have any rolling sound at all. Edit 5/9/2023: This route is bugged, especially in Free Roam Mode where after Veddel there is a section of 120 km/h. When driving towards Hamburg Hbf some junction sends me around for whatever reason. With any train from Christrains the safety system warns me that I have to drive 80 km/h and within seconds the speed in the Hud changes and I get thrown to the track on the right and then back to the track I was driving on. I try to make it to 120 km/ h before the upcoming 80 km/h zone but I have to little time and before I know it I approach Hamburg and I have to start driving 80 km/h which really is not good for any train to get thrown from one track back to the track you were driving on. FIX THIS PLEASE!

One of the best routes I've ever played on! Nicely detailed, highly accurate route and well made trains! Contains everything you ever need! From big passenger stations to huge freight terminals and even small industry spur tracks! One main thing I hate is that I get a 200 KM/H restriction and after 1-2 kilometres I get a 160 KM/H restriction. But that's even true to real life!

one of the best routes ... the scenario called 'snowy winters day' is at night after 10:00 pm for some unknown reason and you drive the ICE in a snow storm ... long route ... the sky gets darker after you get out of the city ... different speeds and two red signals if i remember ... maybe the best route

I am suprised about how good this route looks, especially when the route is from TS2013. However i am a little bit disapointed about that they did NOT includ Hamburg Altona, since that will be good for scenarios. But, i will recommend it. It's a good route and again especially when it's from TS2013. Well done!

'An ICE cold morning CS'. First scenario tried to play. The speed limits are a disaster. They are SO BUGGED to the point of not being playable. The instructions they give you to go to the second station, tells you to switch cabins, and the HUD for your second station is non existent. The station is not behind you. So it gives you wrong directions, and the speedlimits are BEYOND wrong. This would be a quick fix for the devs. Do they even care about the people giving them money??? How are all these reviews positive?

At first, after seeing the offered discount on the route and hitting the buy button, I was afraid that this would be a bad choice. But no, this route is a masterpiece! The DB 407 is a perfect match for this route. Quality and length wise, this route is comparable to the Berlin to Leipzig route made by Aerosoft. I will list the pros and cons for this route, just like every reviewer out there. PROS: 1) Very long length from end to end 2) Can be merged with Hamburg to Lubeck through Danny's workshop content, making the total end to end length more than 200km 3) Stable frame rates with minimal stuttering 4) Constantly changing speed limits makes the drive more lively 5) Decent quick drive spots CONS: 1) Max speed limit allowed is only 200kmh, hence not being able to fully utilise ICE trains' top speed 2) Add-on is a few years old 3) Track looks dull without AP's track enhancement pack

Not my first choice of German routes, but there is a lot of scenario potential. Pros: + Massively long route + Nicely modeled stations, especially at the Hamburg end + Includes a few short branch lines and a big chunk of Hamburg's massive port as well as Maschen freight yard, the biggest in Europe + Ability to do realistic express city-to-city runs at 200km/h (but only in quick drive - no such scenarios included) with (mostly accurate) PZB and LZB in-cab signaling systems + Signaling system is nice to scenario creators and mostly does what you want it to do, with the occasional quirks popping up. Cons: - The line-side signaling does not behave prototypically at all. Signals in Germany never show a clear aspect, unless a path has been allocated. The signals on this route always show a clear aspect, unless a signal block is occupied, the opposite behavior of the prototype and thus acting as "spoilers" for any oncoming AI traffic. I'm normally not too strict about this sort of stuff, but this is a massive departure from reality and does bother me while driving. The in-cab signaling systems PZB and LZB are mostly realistic, with a few minor omissions, as is the AFB cruise control system on the BR 101 and ICE2. - Lack of a mainline freight and stopping passenger locomotive among the included rolling stock. The scenarios included with the route would have you believe the BR101 works freight and local passenger services. It was originally intended to be a combined passenger and freight engine, but only ever worked express trains for the long-distance division of DB. Another massive break with reality. The scenarios for the ICE2 high-speed train and the BR294 shunter/road switcher are halfway realistic. -/+ For realistic scenarios, Steam Workshop is your friend. Summary: Scenery: 10/10 Rolling stock: 8/10 Scenarios: 5/10 Line-side signaling 2/10 In-cab signaling 8/10 Realism: 5/10 Replay value and scenario potential: 10/10 Recommended if you're looking for a huge mainline route with diverse operations and great scenario potential, but aren't too strict on the realism.

Fun and pleasurable route to drive around. This is the one that got me started learning Sicherheitsfahrschaltung, Punktförmige Zugbeeinflussung and Linienzugbeeinflussung (SIFA, PZB and LZB for short) proprerly, which added some nice flavour to driving around. As usual, there's some passanger, freight and shunting scenarios included. One of my favourite packs currently.

Pros: 1. Detailed track layout. Especially S-Bahn and railyard. 2. Good LZB layout. 3. Memorial at Eschede Cons: 1. Slow speed though there is a very straight track. Speed limit (140-160kph) on curves. 2. Bad landscape, especially on the southern part. The line appeared to be running on an open field in the game but it is not in the real world! The real world railside is very bushy and populated, but the line didn't replicated that. This makes the line quite boring when you are driving on a deserted plain without a house nor a tree in view! For comparison some other lines (such as ECML) can show better landscape on railside even when running with low graphic. Conclusion. Buy Munich Augsburg instead for a faster and more detailed route. (though shorter)

Despite it's age, still one of the best and longest German routes available in TS. Highly recommended.

I bought this route because of the positive reviews but I can't load it. Every time I try to load it, it crashes the whole game. I would love to give this a positive review but its just not working. I would like some help with this so that I can give it a positive review.

线路还是可以的,车不怎么好,可能是由于2013就推出了的缘故,希望能改进ICE 2!

Great FPS, nice details, very nice drive with any DB train. Plenty of detail, long route and good PZB & LZB. Try the "Lower Saxony Regional Stopper CS" scenario, it is a very good example of how good Train Sim can be.
