Right away - this is a mystery game hiding as a Steam puzzle game. So you have to expect elements of the mystery, for both the gameplay and story, to be outside the game. I had to start with that because I WISH I knew this coming into it. That absolutely changes the player's perspective. It's okay to collaborate with others and use search.
The game itself can be divided into two sections: decryption puzzles and story. Puzzles are a weird twist on sudoku, there are fifty of them and they get progressively harder as new elements get introduced. Unfortunately with these elements there is also some guesswork added which detracts a bit (although is on par with how sudoku works).
Story is cool and got me hooked almost until the end. It consists of some disturbing reading of a non-chronological chat conversations. You are unsure what goes on here and are left to draw your conclusions as your read it. The end disappointed me a bit but as mentioned, not from the lore perspective but just the way you get to it.
Playable, but not ideal, on the Steam Deck because it is hard to copy stuff. I used a phone to take photos and type some things manually but you are better off to just run it on PC.
Also, because you have to start up the demo too after completing all the puzzles and watch the Steam store page to get the full picture.
Most clever Konstructors game. Minimalistic but tells an intriguing story. I was flip-flopping whether to recommend it or not. Especially because it feels unique in a sea of sequels and remasters. So I will say yes, IF the person buying is properly informed.
