First of all, I really like the concept of this game! the XCOM style turn based grid system feels great.
I only encountered a couple of bugs from my playthrough, the first bug was at the spawner level, on a couple of the spawners one zombie would be outside of the building eventhough this zombie is placed in the actual spawner building in game. The second "bug" was on the last level, when I attempted to click the item to pickup; I learnt I had to click on the actual square it was on. (it would make it feel a lot better if we could click the item too.)
What I like:
I really like the polygon style graphics that the game offers, I think this works really well with the concept of zombies and gunslingers.
The spawner mechanic feels great, essentially you shoot through zombies until you reach the building they're coming out of and your character goes into the house and kills every zombie in there one by one, this feels great mid way through a mission.
The missions were a bit varied such as setting up a line of defence then pushing forward, destroying zombie spawners and collecting items, this can include finding them on the floor, looting buildings or killing zombies that drop them.
The star system is a simple, yet effective way of allowing the player to replay these missions to complete every little side objective.
Weapons, more specifically that certain characters had certain weapons that were longer range, more damage. There is also a knife were the player can stab the zombie up close (although not recommended unless the zombie attacks you first) this is a good strategy system on how to preserve ammo.
Small things such as the bandage system which can help a lot if the player decides to have one of their characters take the hits from the zombies, the damage system is great too, if you're behind a zombie you will deal a lot more damage which feels amazing.
The amount of different looking zombies is great, some zombie games will have one generic zombie and not really vary the look of the zombie but the devs have multiple different looking zombies
What I didn't like:
Sometimes the hit chance felt off, this could be due to some bad luck of mine but at times I would miss 96/100 shots 4 times in a row which put me in a bad spot (this could just be me though)
Currently the enemy variation is the same normal zombie with 10 health and with the same mechanics, I'm not sure if the devs are working on different types of special zombies such as a shooter or a tank but it would help the game feel a little less boring (especially after 20 or so missions)
The pistol currently feels useless for the most part as even when I run out of ammo for the rifles I tend to go melee, the pistol just feels a bit under powered currently.
Overall, I would recommend this game as its cheap, nice to play, very few bugs encountered so far and its an XCOM style game and from experience, any type of XCOM game is worth checking out if you're into the genre. Support the devs and hopefully they can keep continuing the game and make it even more interesting! I'm very curious on what they plan to do with the game in the future and sign me up for any beta stuff!
