it's not a bad game, but it's not what the steam page would make you believe it is. the puzzles are nothing but an oversimplified distraction with the main focus being a cliché story with fairly cheesy characters. the sound design is pretty good. i can't say i didn't enjoy it, but i was left disappointed

A short and sweet game about repairing objects that leads to learning how to repair relationships. Beautiful art, lovely sound track, nice voice acting. The only tiny quibbles I have are that the movement of objects can be a bit finicky and more than once I was a very little bit irked by having to pick up the screwdriver for each screw in turn rather than holding the screwdriver and unscrewing everything all at once. All in all this is a beautiful game about a few hurt people and their journey towards mending themselves and their connections to those close to them.

The game was cozy and had a really nice artstyle. The story was fairly simple and nothing that was too deep. Although personally I felt like I wanted to have more things to repair and less story or a way to connect the story a bit more with the gameplay. There were hints of that, but I felt a bit frustated having to go through some story bits to get to the repairing gameplay. But honestly, that might have been just my expectations not fitting with the story the game wanted to tell. Very much worth the play still, even if it is a fairly short game.

lovely light game like your daily cup of coffee with a yummy dessert, you visit the city of Balleriva meet its people and help them fix all sorts of broken things including some of their relationships with one another <3 the controls are very odd tbh but once you get the hang of it it's a breeze, I recommend playing it on steam deck if u can it's much better than on desktop imo <3 >u<

It was short and fun, got it for cheap, like less than $1.50. So I think for that price its fine. The "puzzles" are simple yea, but its an interactive element in an otherwise comic book styled visual novel. Story was a bit generic and predictable. But on sale, I'd recommend it.

Simple Puzzles and a decent story to go along. Kind of overpriced for the amount of time needed so buy it on sale. It was an enjoyable timekiller to get my head away.

Assemble with Care is a short, cozy game with a sweet storyline about repairing gadgets and relationships for the various townsfolk in Bellariva. The game took me less than 2.5 hours to 100% complete and is Steam Deck verified, so the game itself works flawlessly on the Deck. The voice acting and art style was a plus and adds on to the cozy vibe. There are 13 total chapters and the “repairs” for each chapter were fairly easy to complete. Overall, if you’re looking for a cozy game with a sweet storyline, I would recommend Assemble with Care and it’s definitely worth it if it’s on sale.

Short, but a nice game with a lovely story to tell. There are 12 puzzles to solve (I frankly do not count the 2 suitcase levels as puzzles), but the game has a heavy emphasis on the story so you will be 100%ing the game in about 2-3 hours. Grab it on a sale!

This game is pretty much a children book, but in game form. I don't mind the price, nor length (though it is very short), my problem is the writing and the voice acting - it really is at the level of a book for early elementary kids.

If you ask ai for a story about a strained father daughter relationship you get something less generic than the story in this game. The gameplay isn't exactly bad but it is just going through the motions. All the spare parts are provided to you and most pieces only have one place to go and as a result there is no challenge. The controls are okay at best, it often selects items you don't want and rotating is bad too.

Beautiful and Cosy game! Needed something to cleanse my gaming palette before getting deeper into a new game. This game was it!

A short, cozy game with a mildly sentimental story. The puzzles are easy to complete. Good if you like puzzles and stories. Only annoying part was the audio settings which seem to have a mind of their own.

This is one of the coziest games I have ever played! I did not want it to end! Although it is a bit short, I fully appreciate the time and effort that went in to creating such an amazing and fun game. I really really really hope they make a second one!

Someone recommended this as a game similar to Unpacking. I liked it, and yes I see similarities, but sadly, the main similarity is how short this game is. I recommend this for people who like to take apart and put things back together. I wish this game had more variety like, several different types of watches and cameras to disassemble and reassemble. Unfortunately, it only has one type of thing for each level. All in all cute game. I bought it on sale for 2 bucks. It took me 1.6 hours to complete according to steam and some of that time i just had the game on while i went to feed the dog

A fun puzzle game with a lovely story accompanying it. I wish there were more puzzles like the epilogue one. Game is pretty short, it can be completed in an hour, but well worth the price

its a cute game and the story is nice but very much lacking in terms of gameplay quality. there is no story auto scroll, the puzzles are short but the handling is weird. more often than not i put a piece down rather than rotating it, and screwing or unscrewing something requires exaggerated mouse dragging and always rotates the object you're working on to a weird angle to unscrew. Its a good game and with a few simple tweaks i think it could be much better but right now its more frustrating than relaxing.

This game felt like eating a slice of cake. Most delicious thing in the world when you're eating it, but when it's gone you're kinda left there in a state of not knowing what to do... unless you want another slice of cake, which in this case is not possible because this has no sequel :( The story reminded me of cake bottom. Not exactly bland or boring but if you've had something like it before, you kinda know what to expect. Certainly digestible though. The gameplay though... oh my goodness. If the story is the cake bottom, the gameplay is the toppings. The whipped cream, the berries... what ever you like on your cake, this gameplay should be most people's piece of cake. While certainly fairly simple, i found it rewarding and fun. Sitting down for 2 hours in a videogame and just repairing things is an unusual experience to me and yet Every bite of the cake, every mission was fun, even the ones that were a bit more difficult and slightly but not too tedious to figure out the solution to. While i could go on with my cake references (please do not be disappointed if you don't find cake in the game, cause there is none) i think i cannot describe it more than that with cake references, so please enjoy the below simpler review; Difficulty? 2/10 ((which is not a bad thing). You have to pay attention when doing the repairs (which are basically puzzles) but i found it more time consuming than difficult sometimes. If you miss one screw, you have disassemble the entire thing again. Realism.) Gameplay? 7/10 (Perfectly suitable when you have 2 hours to spare and don't mind the story being pretty average) Sound? 5/10 (i forgot if the game has any music because when being a repairman i was only really paying attention to what i was doing so this will not impact my final score lmao) Story? 5/10 (Perfectly average though i would not call it predictable... unless you've played too many of these kinds of games, which i haven't, but i imagine there are people that have.) Controls? 7/10 (Smooth, responsive... maybe a bit too responsive. Can be confusing at times because it's almost too responsive and by the time you might figure out the controls (primarily when you're lifting and spinning around the objects you're repairing) you're probably already finished with the game) Overall score 6.5/10 Note: I feel most people who dislike this game are almost overreacting in a way with their negative reviews. It's pretty fun for 2 hours... though certainly what is (for me) 6,59 euro as the base price for this game, is not exactly worth 2 hours of what is essentially a average story with pretty fun gameplay of repairing small objects. On discount it was a lot more worth it tho cause it was enjoyable while it lasted. Though this game, is truthfully more like a comic or slideshow of story events with repair work gameplay. I would hardly call it a video game but maybe my definition of what makes a game is different from the people that made this. Still, not a bad game i would say. :steamhappy:

Cute game, finished in about 2 hours. I wish there were more levels and harder levels even if they weren't part of the "story mode." I enjoyed the game, but it was pretty easy.

I love this game! It is so calming, so touching! By the end of the story my eyes are watering up, but I felt so peaceful at the same time! It is pretty short, but every second of it is worth your money, I can promis you this much! Absolutely loved it. We need more such games.

Incredibly cozy and gentle, it is more of a very short visual light novel than a game-game. The puzzles are straightforward, with only a few having elements that aren't immediately obvious, but they are all enjoyable enough to be worth playing (especially on sale).

Short, sweet, and impactful. If you value games with an interesting premise and/or an interesting story over raw playtime than this is a game that scratches that itch pretty well. I admit I am biased as the first game I bought for my first smart phone years ago was Monument Valley and I have loved the developer's work ever since.

This is a cozy-type game about taking apart broken things and then re-assembling them so that they work, while that is the main gameplay the story is about taking apart broken relationships and then re-assembling so that they are whole. A very enjoyable 2 hours of game. Overall rating: Great

First of all, I bought this game when it was discounted 75% in the summer sale. Nonetheless, this is not my cup of tea. The storyline is too weak, it is just about 2 families whose conflicts are overly cliché, it bored me right after the first 15 minutes. Anyway the artstyle is cute and friendly, the repairing parts are not even hard, which is suitable for those seeking comfort from gaming. With the discounted price, I think this game is somewhat worthy, but with the normal price, this is not.

i enjoyed this game quite alot its a very simple calm game to play if you like fixing things aswell as a little story-line the only issue i have with this game is that it is extremely short there isnt many levels making the game end but other than that i found the game very enjoyable and would recommend to others but i wouldnt buy it at the original price which i think is $11 i got it for $2 which is a good price for how short the game is so if you are thinking about buying this do not buy it full price wait for it to be on sale

Bought this game during the steam summer sale and I absolutely loved it! Very similar vibes to Unpacking so if you liked that game you should try out this one. I would describe it as a relaxing puzzle game with interesting character stories which tie into the items you are fixing.

I wouldn't call these "puzzles" as such, more like a series of steps to follow. Music is nice but the story is really cheesy. Easy to ignore and skip through though! Still makes for a relaxing pretty game; i recommend getting it on sale! I grabbed it for 75% off.

A lovely little narrative game about a repairwoman fixing old, broken things that hold sentimental value to those who own them, after which the owners are able to make steps toward fixing their own connections with the ones they care about -- no particularly deep plots, very slice of life, but the voice acting is good and the artwork lovely, and the gameplay loop pretty satisfying. Near the end there were a few times I got stuck, but for the most part the difficulty seemed about right for the disassembly/repair puzzle sections. Overall, a warm and comforting experience.

I picked up the game from Summer Sale because I love cozy games and I love tinkering with things in real life. The gameplay was really fun and it was nice to experience the story beats between levels. I just only wish there was more!

I'm stunned by the outstanding quality of the Va's work on this game! I felt so connected to the characters, as if they were actually there. The puzzles are a bit more on the simple side for the most part, but well crafted. I highly recommend anyone to check out this game!

Downloaded and finished the free version of this on my phone few years ago. Could never forgot how beautifully done this game is, found this on steam and finally bought it. Absolutely not regretting buying a game I've played before because of how well made it is. The heartwarming & engaging story line, the tinkering theme that reminds me of my childhood fantasy as Tinkerbell, the voice acting, sound effects and musics. They all mashed together making such soothing ambience that got me wanting a movie or TV series with this plot. Such a perfect game to wind down after a hectic day.

A sweet, charming, short time. Not a lot of depth, and the controls are somewhat frustrating (especially rotating objects), but the presentation sells it. Got it on sale and enjoyed it, but would have felt worse at full price.

chill, soft, cozy, short, sad and heartwarming all at the same time. i cried. worth every cent. i believe assemble with care is a classic among the cozy gamers by now and it truly does deserve the spot because this game really hits you in the softest, most wholesome way possible. it makes you cry but hugs you about it. on a real note, crying aside, the story is good, the mechanics and puzzles are neither too easy, nor too hard, which is actually the perfect spot for puzzle games like this! the soundtrack and the visuals are gorgeous and i really, really, had a great time.
