It's good for what it is. Teslapunk doesn't exactly do anything new, but that's fine by me. It is a fun shmup in general and I can't complain. I especially like the music as well as the art-style here. This game has a unique survival mode that's also quite fun. Worth it at full price or on sale.

Nice game, pretty cool visual, the stages and bosses actually sync very well with the music, especially the boss in level 5, the music is the strong aspect of this game. The game actually have other mode to keep you hooked into the game, and practice mode to improve your skill. However, there is no pause or quit button to retry when you mess up your 1 cc run in some sections, which is a big deal.

A really great game with an interesting premise, fun story, fantastic music, and an AMAZING art direction! Tight controls, excellent gameplay and a fun scoring system make this game a must have for shmup fans, retro gamers, and those looking to dip their toes into the world of bullet hells. This is really a fantastic game and I can't recommend it enough!

Very nice shmup. It's a bullet hell, so I waited for a sale, because I'm not that great with challenging shmups (knowing I wouldn't get too far). The music and visuals are both stunning. Very relaxing, and a nice touch with the arcade mode. My Steam group: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/indieretrogamers

The shortcomings of this game far outweigh the advantages, and I can’t see its advantages at all. I originally wanted to give this game a good review, but then I had played Dodonpachi and Touhou series of STG games before, and I felt that this game was very bad, so I decided To give this game a negative review, the following is my evaluation of this game (all are negative reviews): 1. The author originally intended to pay tribute to Nikola Tesla, but putting this legendary figure in history into this game is simply a spoof of Nikola Tesla. 2. The game itself is copied from a series of STG games. For example, the Dodonpachi and Touhou series of games I have played are directly copied by this game. Except for Survival, which is original, the others are all plagiarized. 3. The backgrounds and enemy planes of some levels are very disgusting. Especially the background of stage 4 is frightening to people with poor psychological tolerance. It even made me feel sick and quit the game. 4. The playability is a mess. The hitbox is too large and the higher the multiplier of the fixed difficulty mode, the higher the difficulty. For example, when the Novice mode has high multipliers, it will directly reach the Advance difficulty, and when the Advance mode has high multipliers, it will directly reach the Expert difficulty. *To sum up, the popularity of this game itself is very low, coupled with any shortcomings, we STG game players can only abandon this game. In the end, we can only let "卡机VIP", the strong player in this game, experience the Dodonpachi and Touhou series of games to let him know what the real strong player in STG games is.

A simple three button shmup (Standard Fire, Focus Fire, Hyper) that does a great job of presenting some of the STG basics in an easily palatable format (even if the story takes itself with exactly zero seriousness). The scoring in this game is equally basic (hyper bullet cancels multiply your score for each bullet cleared, a multiplier that diminishes with time). As your multiplier increases, the game gets harder. Bosses are interesting a varied, utilizing some classic STG tropes. All in all, this shmup will probably not be among any true shmuppers top picks (certainly not mine), but it is solid, and enjoyable for it's zaniness; a great way for beginners to get their feet wet. Would recommend.
