A very entertaining and funny hidden object game about froggy princes being kidnapped by a lonely witch. You guide the princes back to their true loves and let the wicked witch wallow in the murky waters of loneliness. A fairly simple game with hilarious graphics. I had a big grin on my face as I played this quirky game. Suitable for kids as there is no violence but a few gentle spooky scenes. Length is ideal for those looking for an easy, but entertaining game. Not suitable for the colourblind as there are colour puzzles. Highly recommend for those wanting a laugh and love frogs.

This seems aimed at kids, but it's an entertaining thing to do to kill an hour or so. There's a lot of variety to the puzzles, and some effort was put into thinking up variations on old standby puzzles. The hidden-object games are not difficult, but not a big focus, either. Since it's hand-drawn art or cartoony CGI, there isn't any patchy pixelation. It's not clear who the main character is, but it's not like you need a strong sense of identity when your job is to console, encourage, and shepherd sobbing frogs to their princesses. There's a lot of personality to the cartoons and even the CGI is expressive. You will get tired of the bleating noise of frantic frogs, but fortunately it's easy to tune them out, or leave them to emote while you go unlock things.

Light hearted, fun spoof on some very familiar fairy tales with brilliantly done graphics and music one can almost dance to. I would classify this game as family oriented or light adult comedic entertainment (and there are some quite comedic adult moments.) The near end of the bonus chapter is a perfect example of what I mean. Story: After escaping from being captured by a matrimonial minded witch looking for her "prince charming" by turning the prince into a frog until he accepts her marriage proposal, the gamer first must rescue the now frog prince. With the use of her magic mirror portal the gamer helps the frog prince find his bethrothed princess so her kiss can break his frog spell. All this must be done before the witch returns from her day trip to the local spa/ salon where she is being pampered and having beauty treatments. Gameplay: This family oriented, point and click puzzler breaks down into the rescue and the finding of the bethothed of two different frog princes with a bonus chapter (which is much shorter) about the third frog prince. The point and click scenes are easy to find, easy to understand and any direction needed is given through pictures and the frog prince. There is no talking (beyond the witch's initial scene) just the sounds your guiding frog prince makes as he points out what needs to be done as you follow him. The game plays in a tight linear fashion and logical manner by following the steps one would naturally do if presented with the same situation in real life. This makes the game flow smooth and seamless. There is little backtracking and each puzzle area is nearly exclusive to its own obstacles and goal. The puzzles are clever, well placed and where one would expect to find them such as on locked doors and boxes that need opened. Some might find the puzzles too easy, but there several that required some thought to solve. Puzzles include sliders, matching, color, music, logic and something similiar a hidden object "Find X amount". No map and no penalties for hints, scene clues or skipping. Built in strategy guide in case one gets stuck or forgets what they are doing. Extras include wallpapers and concept art. The in-game achievements are a hoot. They are animations of the frog princes, six for each in total, which can be saved as avatars, one of which is the frog dancing. Brilliantly done comedy adventure with light romance thrown in as a bonus. Highly recommend it.

This game is so cute that makes me smile. Adorable characters, colorful graphics and entertaining puzzles. I would LOVE another game like this! Recommended!

Gameplay There are three different difficulty game modes to choose from: Regular; Advanced and Expert. The inventory panel is at the top of the screen instead of it being at the bottom traditionally. It comes with a padlock feature to lock the inventory panel in place to make it stationary. The scroll keeps track of progression in the game. Such as story events and clues. The hidden object scenes consist of the following: Fragmented items. Fragmented items make up a whole item. Some of these hidden object scenes may require little or no interactions. The puzzles are fairly easy to solve without having the need to skip any of them. There are four different sets of in-game achievements. Each of these achievements does come with some requirements that need to be completed before they can be unlocked. Since this is a collector's edition, there is a bonus chapter, but it can be accessed only after the main story is completed. Miscellaneous There are extra features in the game: Bonus Chapter; Screen Saver; Music; Concept Art and Strategy Guide. Most of these extra content can be accessed only after the entire game is completed. Final thoughts: I have found the game enjoyable to a certain extent. The replay value for the game is low. I would recommend this game, but not at the game's full price value.

[h3] Had a lot of fun playing this !!! [/h3] Lovely graphics, and quirky humour. Puzzles are not too hard and many are refreshingly different to the norm. Unfortunately no Steam achievements (they are within the game instead) or trading cards. Got it cheap on sale; it's a lot better than a lot of more expensive games of this genre. Definitely recommended for some light amusement.

I love this game! The cartoony style and vibe is every thing. I wanted this game for ages and when I finally got it I was not disapointed! The story is fun a quirky and full of surprises I would reccomend for anybody whos played a vampire story or disk world! <3 <3 <3

This is a very stylish point-and-click adventure puzzle game. There are very few screens that count as being Hidden Object, and all of them have to do with gathering broken pieces of items to repair the image, so I can't quite call this a hidden object game. That said, the story is entertaining enough for a roughly 2.5-3h runtime including bonus chapter. The art is quite attractive in a twisted Mother Goose sort of way, with moments of genuine beauty. The puzzles are not so difficult or tedious that I found the need to skip any, and while there were repeats in puzzle type, they did not overstay their welcome and typically had a reason for resembling a similar puzzle - all in all, I'd say the most common actual puzzle showed up three times. It does suffer slightly from "find x number of shaped cabochons to unlock the door" syndrome - but there are just as many physical, purposeful items to find along the way, including some tools that see re-use. If you're looking for a HOG, this ain't it - but if you're happy with puzzle-solving adventure games, then this might be a good fit for you.

Bummed. This seems like such a neat game, but has a bug that makes it crash my computer while completing the snake puzzle. I have reinstalled the game but it happens every time at the same point. This could be my computer, so it might not be a problem for you. I am removing it.

It's not often I can't wait to get home to play something these oh so jaded days. For some reason this is the one that did it for me. I don't know if it was the pleasing art or that I was able to make progress in the little bit of time I had to plays this in. So, if you like goofy and cute read on even if you are a gamer tm, branch out and have fun. WP:FFCE has one of the worst names but it is kind of par for the course in the Hidden Object world which this game is most like. I say most like because it heavily leans on Adventure game logic and moving around to different scenes much like old ZX Spectrum games would back in the day. You'll end up traveling through a mirror to different inventive and frankly stunning worlds trying to transform frog princes back to just princes and probably have it completed in under 4 hours. My only complaints are the fmv footage is fuzzy and stutters like an old PS1 game and I wish it had one more story in it since they didn't make any more of these.

A game that is very fun and easy to play once you get the patterns down. This hidden object/ puzzle game has a wonderful story line to play through. Perfect for all ages this game has brought me many hours of fun.

Everything about this game was enjoyable. The art work is rich, the story is fun and the game play was relaxing. I wish the developers would create more games like this one.

Played this with my daughter, was a cute few hours of calm time spent together. Not to difficult and was nice to have the skip puzzle option for the ones that were just taking to long. The humour is aimed at small kids. Only took a few hours so the sale price was worth it.

Point and click mixed with puzzles and HO. Loved the quality of the graphics. Guilty pleasure. I loved this. The wee frog had me laughing and wanting to place him in danger, his wee voice is so cute.

Cute game, puzzles are relaxing but not challenging. Be aware the cutscenes are broken on the Mac version - this affects the "story", since you don't get to see the plot result of the puzzle work, but doesn't affect gameplay. Game is short, but a good pickup on sale for ~2 hours entertainment.

pros - whimsical and quirky atmosphere - well made and fun to watch cartoony cut scenes - picturesque, well drawn colorful and cartoony background artwork - well drawn cute 3D characters - great sounds and animations - enjoyable hog scenes and puzzles - humorous story about a wicked witch who wants to marry a handsome prince but there is a big problem. all the princes were engaged and rejected her. therefore she turns them into a frog, and only a kiss from a fiancé (or witch's herself) can transform them back to life as a human. - bonus chapter and contents such as wallpapers and developer's sketches. cons - some frustrating mini games. i directly skipped them. - slow screen transitions - there is no map - there are no cards and steam achievements but there are some in game achievements Overall, this is the most adorable hog game I think I've ever played and it reminds me of Shrek. i really like it.

Buggy shit. It takes 5-15 seconds to change a screen. Also at the tiles are moved at snake puzzle right at the beginning, the game gets more and more laggy and the audio gets stuttering. That's where I have closed it.

Bought it for my girlfriend and she liked it very much. The game is short but pretty enjoyable. Music is ok, locations are very pretty, some are little masterpieces. Riddles not too hard but also not very easy - i'd say, intermediate level (but some can be challenging). Whole game took about 5 hours - not as long as I would like, but for that price I definetly recommend if you like point and click games. . Also, the game is a little bugged - it was crashing often at the beggining. I had to search for GetThreadContext error and uncheck an option in my Avast antivir. That was my onlyand a bit daunting experience with this game.

This is truly a great game. Eventhough it's pretty old, it's still very fun, has nice graphic design and the storyline is immersive. I really enjoyed doing the puzzles, since they're very diverse and unique. I've played a lot of games in this category and this is the one I liked most and my opinion is not likely to change. Definitely recommending this to people who like games with just a small amount of horror aspects. The 3 difficulties make the game more accessible for all types of players e.g players who don't want to spend a lot of time on puzzles and would like to skip them, players who want to experience the game in normal mode, and players who want to try their best on the highest difficulty. I used to play this a long, long time ago and recently have played it again, just to have even more fun. 10/10 game in my opinion.

Witch's Pranks is an excellent deviation from the cookie-cutter HOGs which dominate the genre. Excellent animation, fantastic music, great games, with a decent story to boot. When I say 'excellent animation', I mean that instead of the typical drawn painting fade to next painting that HOGs have, this actually has animated models. GOOD ones. The music score is also steps above the dreamy vapid stuff we're used to. The puzzles are about the same, and I have to note that there aren't any real hidden object games in this title. A few 'find all the same-type things', but no 'find the spoon, rabbit, horseshoe, magnifying glass, etc.' Thumbs up, worth it, and I'm going to look for some more of this style. Please leave a suggestion comment if you know of some.

Recommend this to any young family. Refreshing and imaginative compared to most hidden object games. Please try you will have a lot of fun

This has been one of my favorite hidden object games that I've bought, it's cute with fun graphics. It's not very challenging but still has a fun story line that makes it worth playing through.

Fun, goofy game. I laughed out loud many times. No traditional hidden object scenes, but a few that are kinda HO-ish. Most puzzles were fairly generic but still done in witty ways, and a few were very novel. Great storyline, amazingly creative scenes and interactions, just far beyond the usual. Bonus game was as good and involved as the main game. Highly recommended. NOTE: None of the cutscenes worked on my Mac, they were just solid black or blue screens. Didn't seem to need them, though it was weird to not be able to see the final triumph cutscenes.

What a great game. Many puzzles and HOGs are novel and unlike anything I’ve seen before. Others are based on puzzles like those you’ve played in other games, but with a clever twist. I don’t want to give too much away so you can discover for yourself, but just when you think, “Oh, one of those,” there is some strange twist – things rearrange or move or flip. Scenes are wonderful and with clever additions – cute characters in the background, moving exploding in a puff. Characters you interact with are especially well done. Witches and goblins and frogs are rendered with great, interesting detail. I often found myself laughing at their cleverness. The storyline, though a bit simplistic and fairy-tale like, is carried consistently throughout the game. You understand what you’re trying to do and how to go about it. Help function is essential as there is no map function indicating where to go to next. Price is right given the game is a couple of years old now. If you like point-and-click, HOGs, and cute and clever games, try Witch’s Pranks: Frog’s Fortune.

This is by far the best point and click game I have played in a long long time! It made me smile all the way through and I wish there were more games like this! Mini games were great, not too hard, not too easy, and the frogs were so funny! If you like to have fun then this is the game for you! Thank you Shaman Games!!

This game crashed on me a few times, and it's fairly short. But I loved the cartoonish art style and humor, and the puzzles and HO scenes were good. Definitely worth a try for HOG and puzzle fans.

This game is as nice as I remember from the demo. Amazing graphics, challenging puzzles, and intuitive gameplay. Perhaps the only shame is that I'd never know whether the witch found her own true love's kiss to break her own spell. Haha! I'd surely play this again at a later date, and I encourage people to try this one out.

I don't just give this a thumbs down because I kind of suspect that they stole several jewelry (hair pin) designs from a well know wire weaver in the jewelry community. The are clear and shamless rip offs of KL jewelry's work. I don't know of the artist stole the idead and the programers not know or what the deal is. If I'm shown evidence that they have a contrat with KL jewelry or that she has given her aproval I will gladly take this peragraph out. And trust me, I realy want to. That aside If you have a MAC don't get this game. I had to steal my husbands lap top because the cut seens would not play, or the intro seen. A big part of this games charm is the story and it all happens durring the cut seens. My last complant is that there are really only 3 puzzle sections making this very short. 1 hour tp help each price and one is an extra after you beat the game. So instainly short and you can tell that they where running out of ideas at the end of the second prince. I think they felt the 3rd prince was just to short and not to the quality of the others that they just made him extra content. I wouldn't pay any more than I did at 90% off.

would be a really nice HOG, but: --crashed 12 times throughout the whole game, but don't looses your progress. --if your windows freeze up, play in windowed mode and kill app with taskmonitor.

This is a relaxing, fun game. The HO part is minimal, but the setting is original and the colorful, characteristic graphics are a pleasure to look at. It is hard not to laugh at the depiction of some characters and situations, such as the smart/stupid frog-princes. The puzzles are mostly easy, but many of them are different from the repetitive clichés of other HO games. There seems to be a lot of attention to detail. In short, a little gem.

This game was epic! Huge thanks for making such an awesome game. I've tried a bunch of casual puzzle mystery games before, but none were like this—and it's from 2014! Mind-blowing! Please make a sequel. :) I'm super excited to check out what other games you've made last year and what you're releasing in 2024! PS - I didn't find any issues on windows 11 like the other reviewer, I suggest maybe updating your graphics card drivers.

It is VERY funny. Does not tax your brain too much, which means that you get to laugh a lot. The only thing I regret is that the frogs did not start singing "Hello, my baby, hello my honey..."

This game is brilliant!!! The art is amazing and creates its own universe after just 2 screens. It's one of the most beautiful games i've seen for a while. The scenario is fun to follow & the game is really pleasant to be played. It's not difficult at all but you spend 3 or 4 hours of very nice moments. No HO scenes in this game. For me it's a 9/10! Congrats!!!

I gotta say that I official found this game easy and fun. What you gotta do is get the Frog Princes to kiss their brides. Boom they are human again. Short and fun. I played 4 hours on it. The only thing I hated is the glitches. Off and on. >.<

Extremely cute game. Lots of neat puzzles and a decent range of them. Concept works and they even added a bonus frog in this version for you. I would love if they decide to make a few dlc with more frog/puzzles going on as well.
