I like that this game is much more relaxed about pushing the player to engage in mechanized/capitalist land exploitation than most cozy management sims (I assume that does not bother most people, but that design style makes it hard for me to enjoy games of this nature). When I see my hives buzzing, and flowers blooming, I feel nearly as happy as when I look out the window and see my actual chamomile and amaranth growing well. Plus it's soothing! Highly recommend.

I quite like this 'little' game. The graphics are adorable, there are some good bee related puns. The gameloop is satisfying and there are always more things to discover! It is a relaxing game that I have enjoyed immensely and will continue to play. I'm not much of an avid collector in games but this game has made the discoveries wonderfully interlinked. I highly liked that aspect. For example, a bee needs a specific flower to be born. But that flower can only be spread by a specific butterfly. There are some game bugs, I had one that locked me out of the game entirely but the developer graciously fixed my save file enabling me to keep my save file. Give it a go, it's become my go to relation game.

I absolutely love bees, everytime I play modded minecraft I instantly look if there is a bee mod. This game basically is minecraft with that bee mod. Also that they made it so you can mod right from the base game is really nice, you can just add mods in the mod tabs without having to download stuff on your web-browser.

At first, I wasn't sure that I would be loving this game. I thought it was overwhelming, with way too many menus, too many things to do, my screen becoming cluttered way too easily... but, after 4 hours spent on this game, I can say that I am hooked and there are many many hours to be sunked into this cozy little game. There is exploration, building, decoration, discovering new bees, butterflies, fauna, and so much more! It scraches a little that "Stardew valley" itch I had.

I'm glad I tried Apico, but I'm ultimately walking away from it. I wish the game didn't require me to get money to get stuff so I can get more money better. That's just not what I see as a comfy gameplay experience. Not recommending, but it's based on being in that narrow niche of I Want Comfy/Please No Required Interaction with the Economy. If you're into that and everything else you see here about Apico, try it. I got it on sale, and it was worth it to me to check out.

Apico is an interesting game of its type. With strong collection and easy auto systems. I love how we can use our UIs creatively and have more than one tab open, it makes the entire process at least 200x easier and faster. The auto machines are also very, very easy to understand and use, so it's a smooth learning curve imo. Everyone says it's very chill and "sit back and relax", and while I do agree that it's chill, I don't want to share misinformation: The game can be quite overwhelming, at least to a "cozy" game. To me, it's not a con! I adore how complex the systems are and how they're interconnected. It never feels too complicated or impossible, it feels like a step I need to take to achieve my goals and finish my objectives. I had to learn how to prioritize things and organize my thoughts. For someone with ADHD I have to admit, it was hard and still is, to the point I feel so overwhelmed that I just kind of need to pause and take a breath: There are the social bees (main aspect); Then the Solitary bees with their own system and needs; Then the butterflies, also with their own system; Then the flowers; Then the fish, also a different system; Then the request board; And then you notice you need to restore the corals. "Oh, done! I restored one. Oh my god there's an underwater area I need to restore with its own machines. Oh ok, I restored the underwater... THERE'S A DEEPER UNDERWATER AREA?" Do keep in mind all of those things are interconnected. To get every bee, you need flowers that need the activity of butterflies that are only discovered by a different type of flower, that you need this other flower to breed with it, then have a different butterfly acting over them. It's a plethora of information that can easily overwhelm once you get the big picture. For me that's one of the beauties of Apico, it's a BIG game that needs organization and thought management to complete. Once you achieve your goals, it feels very rewarding. It does feel clunky and buggy at times, and my PC runs RDR2 with no problems whatsoever, but here? 30fps in my base. I just can't fathom this fact lol it's quite annoying, but nothing that makes me dislike the gameplay altogether.

An unbeelievably nice game, scratches a cross-polination/breeding cozy itch. Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I can see why this game is liked, I myself just cant get into it. You are just thrown on this bland island with characters you are supposed to like. Its a flat rendition of Stardew Valley, where capitalism is the name of the game. I love bees btw.

Cozy and bee keeping. Fun aspect to cross breed bees aswell as building your own house.

I wanted to like it, really. Got about twenty species in, but it's just so cumbersome. Juggling menus is almost okay with the hotkeys, but forestry and related minecraft mods are by far the superior experience. Even fully "automated" the stations are obnoxious, and there are plenty of dopey requirements for breeding the early species. Oh yeah, and the forced environmentalism stuff might have been cute ten years ago, but it's pretty preachy now. Ditto irrelevant pronouns-in-the-bio for every puddle-deep NPC

Game is trash. Only a few minutes in and you're inundated with gender cult nonsense.
