game is an absolute banger. play this WITHOUT LOOKING ANYTHING UP. DO NOT SPOIL THIS GEM OF A GAME you will do yourself a disservice if you spoil ANY part of the game. movement is AMAZING. controller feels better IMO but the stick flicking back can sometimes be a bit annoying. Mouse and Keyboard is also very good, but its entirely personal preference and what you are most comfortable with. The game answers any and all questions you may have with the story so just sit back, relax and enjoy this rollercoaster of a game and story

Incredible game with an equally incredible and heartfelt story. I was not expecting a 10/10 game when i started playing but it exceeds even that. 11/10. Doesn't waste your time with worthless side bs. No fillers, only gives you what it wanted to give. Wish more games did this. Gameplay loop is solid and the story keeps you playing.

Great story, the characters are wholesome and the combat is fun. This game is criminally undervalued; I recommend it.

Maybe the best implementation of a grapple hook in gaming history. And it knows how to tell a damn good story, if you think you understand the themes in the first hour, you don't.

This is definitely one of my all-time favorites. Now that’s gaming at its finest. The story is amazing and incredibly emotional, the gameplay is fun and challenging, and you can feel how much heart and soul went into it. I loved every single bit of it. Thank you to the makers of this game!

[Spoiler free review] I was initially interested in this game from seeing it using the grapling hook as its main gameplay mechanic, and quite liked their artstyle. But as I kept playing, I realized I stayed moreso for the story. Don't get me wrong, the gameplay is great! While the mechanics you have at your disposal at the start are very limited, the devs find pretty fun ways to use them. and at a very steady pace, they keep expanding your traversal options, and keep challenging the new mechanics with new challenges to match. But all that got slowly but surely taken over by the compelling story that unfolded as you progress. What I loved the most about their writing style, is what at any given time, I felt like I was "one step ahead" of the main character when understanding the situation, and usually, I was, but when the reveal came, it always came together with "but did you consider what that revelation means?". This cat-and-mouse story telling kept the mystery going, you feel like you understand, but you are always a step ahead of what is told, but also a step behind from what would be the next question you didn't think of asking yourself. The story's core is very simple, but was just executed very, very well. There's replayability if you are into speedrunning, or just like to challenge yourself, but I got what I wanted through a single playthrough, and am very happy with it. From start to finish, about 10 hours of gameplay, well worth your money, 9/10

One of my favorites indie games of all time. Absolutely everything is so well made and executed, story, soundtrack, gameplay, simply amazing. It's not just a game, but an life experience. The only downside is that some sections are way too long than they should be in my opinion, but beside this is perfect.

Изначально я прошёл игру на пиратке. Настолько понравилась, что купил и перепрошёл на все ачивки ещё раз. Изначально думал, что вдохновлённая Katana ZERO игра (я очень большой её фанат, поэтому попробовать данный продукт для меня было лишь вопросом времени.), однако проект получился вполне себе самостоятельным и добротным. Мне очень понравился сюжет, геймплей, в том числе саундтрек, в общем всё на высоте, однозначно рекомендую если вам понравилась Katana ZERO. Ну и по аналогии с Катаной, главный композитор OST (под никнеймом Invader 303 (Он, кстати, казах, наш слоняра)) выложил на свой YouTube канал превью трека какого-то DLC/Сиквела/хрен знает чего ещё, что я с нетерпением буду ждать, как и DLC к Katana ZERO (Я нахожу это очень забавным, что LudoWic, один из исполнителей OST Katana ZERO тоже постил на своём канале целые треки из DLC, это уже больше похоже на тренд!) Однозначно рекомендую. и помните, друзья ВАЖНО ДОЙТИ ДО КОНЦА

11/10 game is fun and is one of the best stories i've seen come out of a game the soundtrack is great and it blends artstyles in really interesting ways the ONLY thing i didnt like about this game was that when characters walked off screen you could hear their character abruptly stop walking

Game is very good There are a few translation errors when playing in English, but aside from that, this game is a masterpiece. Perfectly replicates the feeling I got from playing Katana Zero for the first time.

Having read the glowing reviews decided to try it out. At first I found the game so slow and frustrating, the cut scenes seemed too often and too slow, I almost gave up on it. I'm so glad I didn't. Despite what the game tells you it is worth getting to the end. It's amazing. You will probably see the plot points about half way through but despite feeling like I knew how it'll end, it still surprised me. Definitely worthy of all the praise.

Coming back to finally write a small review. This shares a spot as my favorite game along with a hundred and sixty hour plus AAA RPG. And Ive only spent fourteen hours on this game. I cannot describe to you how bad I ugly cried at it's ending; it's such a perfect story from start to finish. This game is worth so much more than it's priced at.

I managed to get through the entire game on a casual lazy day and it was one of the greatest decisions I've ever made. The developers definitely took a lot of inspiration from Katana Zero, from the setting, to playing as a protagonist who learns the story at the same time as you, and in my opinion takes the gameplay to a whole 'nother level above Katana Zero by prioritizing platforming than hack and slashing through different rooms. I will admit the story at times can be a bit (albeit rarely) confusing, edgy, or outright cringe like it was written by a 12 year old with some strange dialogue choices since the game was made by Korean developers and translated into English. But regardless it was all worth it and it now holds a very special place in heart as one of the greatest indie games I've played. Worth the money, even when it's not on sale, and a very easy 10/10

Beautiful game. Perfectly handles loss and the strife that death can bring upon every day people. Strong message, strong visuals and perfectly paced storytelling make this game a joy to play. 10/10

Wanted to play a chill pixel art game while I waited for the next big triple A title I've been eyeing. Ended up playing one of the best games of all time. Story, game, art and music were all amazing!

Excellent game! The story was fantastic! Gameplay is somewhere between Sonic the Hedgehog and Spider-Man. It takes some getting used to, but feels incredibly unique and satisfying when you get the hang of it. Great music too.

A really fun platformer with a brilliant story, albeit with a somewhat slow start. The grapple mechanic core to the gameplay adds cinematic feel to the game, on top of simply being fun to play with. Great soundtrack too. The last 2 chapters are peak cinema in all aspects. Finally, for anybody coming from the amazing Katana Zero, Sanabi is just as good, but plays quite differently. The overall pacing is slightly slower due to the way the story is told through dialogue. The main character does not die in one hit on any of the initial difficulty settings (enemies still do though, save for boss fights). and the game has quite a bit of platforming sections with no enemies.

This game made me ugly cry on a Sunday morning! Loved the story, immediately connected with the characters, and the gameplay is fluid, fast-paced, and fun. At first, I was a little annoyed by the frequency of cut-scenes because I just wanted to swing around like Spiderman, but I came to realize how much I loved it later on. There are a decent amount of platforming skill tests, challenging boss fights, and rewarding feeling of nailing the movement. 11/10 would recommend.

I don't think I can describe this game as anything other than a master piece that frankly I am insulted that I haven't seen this game yelled about from the rooftops! It is not often that a game gets me to cry and ball my eyes out. Last game that did that was Outer Wilds so frankly devs you are too damn good at your jobs

Cannot recommend this game enough, it's absolutely worth your time and money. The story's real solid, sometimes a bit heavy with the cutscenes but it's balanced by the interesting mystery around Sanabi. Gameplay, ost and artstyle all lift this game up, too. 10/10, gameplay is fun and satisfying, and the story is really PEAK, its one of those game that you want your memory to be reset and experience it again.
