I also acidentially started the quest right after the intro, but contrary to most others i really liked it. Fantastic storybuilding that early in the game to see the events from Theresas perspective. For a story, immersion, slice of life lover, the switch to a different character was such a nice surprise i didn't expect. 10/10 if you love yourself some good real roleplaying experience.

Why so much hate for this DLC? I got a really cool dog out of it. Love that dog. Don't really care about her though. Still 5 stars recommend this. Who needs a woman when they got a dog who protects you with it's life? I read Warhorse (the developer) wanted the butcher's dog you find when you return to Skalitz available at launch. But the dog needed more work so Warhorse waited to distribute later with DLC "A Woman's Lot". You won't need to play through the DLC to adopt the dog. Once the DLC is activated in the game, speak with Theresa to acquire the dog as pet.

I'm disappointed in Johanka questline, it starts really inetersting but quickly becomes boring and dull, it's not worth playing even if you aim to get both endings. Johanka is just delusional, I hate her so much. Theresa part carried whole DLC. I gaslighted, gatekeeped and girlbossed my way through her quests in Skalitz. OK, there are even sneaking parts where Theresa becomes Solid Snake.

Fantastic story building to the original game. Yes their are parts that are slow, but once the Cumans attack, it picks up. Except for one quest you have to gather bandages, I really loved this DLC.

Houndmaster skill is under baked, but tbh I kinda dig Thereasa's quest-line and Johanka's. I think this DLC adds a lot to the experience

I know, I know: there are many reviews claiming that this DLC feels stretched out and the gameplay is boring. But take a step back for a moment. This DLC lets you play as Theresa in the days leading up to the attack on Skalitz. And yes, it actually does start off a bit slow — I thought the same at first. However, this seemingly "boring" gameplay is part of a fantastic storytelling approach that quickly builds and develops. If you enjoy the storytelling in the rest of *Kingdom Come: Deliverance*, then try to embrace the calm early quests in this DLC and use them to immerse yourself in Theresa’s perspective — it will be worth it. There are also a few “Easter eggs” that explain certain things you may have noticed during the early main quest as Henry in Skalitz. Overall, it's a beautiful expansion — not least because you get to play a woman for a change, and the game really makes you feel that through its dialogue and storytelling. However, one small criticism: I don’t know if I was playing on an easy difficulty (I didn’t check or change anything), but combat as Theresa felt a bit too easy — especially considering that she’s supposed to have no combat experience. Of course, that makes the gameplay more accessible and probably improves the overall flow, but it does take away a bit from the realism and immersion. Still, there's one important thing to keep in mind: if you're currently getting into the main questline and the story is picking up pace, you might not feel like stepping away for a few hours to play a completely slowed-down segment. That’s why I’d recommend playing this DLC when you're in the mood for a change of pace, not when you're chasing urgent tasks in the main story. That’s my concrete tip to enjoy 'A Woman’s' Lot to the fullest. If you're mainly looking for action-heavy gameplay, then this DLC probably isn't for you. But if you enjoy diving into a character and experiencing a story with real depth, then I wholeheartedly recommend Kingdom Come: Deliverance – A Woman’s Lot.

I can only speculate that the rating for this DLC is of a clear gender divide. In a game that is so male centric, which I don't say as a complaint, but simply a fact of the narrative and time it takes place in, I thought having a chance to get to know two women who are important to Henry was great. I can understand some fatigue from the Theresa section, as a lot of it IS walking around, but I personally wasn't bothered or put off by it. The Madonna of Sasau quest line, however, really blew me away. Johanka might be one of my favorite supporting characters now. I loved her sincerity, while also sensing in the back of my mind that following her convictions would present her with grave danger. That had she been a priest, what she was doing and saying would be an ordinary glimpse into monastic teachings of the time. But because she's a woman, as implied by the DLC's name, this is her lot in life. I don't know. Ideas that are progressive now would be unrealistic to portray in this game. But I think this DLC's very existence addresses the extreme inequality women then (and really until recently) had to simply endure. Don't listen to the negative reviews from crybaby neckbeards.

a decent dlc that is heavily weighed down by its first half which is accessible very early on and is unable to be paused, but i think the longer second half makes up for that with decent quests and a pretty good story, definitely worth the price on sale

i got this dlc because i read it was the only way to get a dog. i noticed it had a terrible rating so i went and checked the reviews. like always i thought they were just being nitpicky and dramatic. however, after sitting through 3 hours of this… …… ….. its the worst fucking thing ive ever played. no part of it was even remotely enjoyable and i had to force myself to sit through it for the dog. everytime i thought it was the end, it wasnt. AND ATLEAST GIVE ME A HORSE. THEN I WOULDNT BE WRITING THIS. IM SICK OF THIS DLC IT IS A PRISON. WALKING SIM ANIMAL CROSSING ASS QUESTS. I LOVE KCD BUT THIS MADE ME WANNA UNINSTALL THE ENTIRE THING. FOR SOME REASOM SHE CANT WALK UPHILL (i cant wander too far on my own SHUT UOPPP) AND GETS STUCK ON THE DOG IN DOOR OPENINGS ETC JUST TERRIBLE I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT. NEVER HAVE I YEARNED FOR ANY KIND OF TRANSPORT THIS BAD. HORSE. HORSE. HORSE. HORSE. NEIGHHH DO YOU KNOW WHAT A HORSE IS

Daft piece of unnecessary "padding" DLC, which appears to add nothing to Henry's own progress within the main story (which wouldn't have been so bad if it had - a bit like how Skyrim's DLC's contributed to the levelling of the player's character and was connected to it). It sees things from his romantic interest Theresa's point of view. The questline I accidentally accepted when all I did was get Henry to have a casual chat with Theresa after a hard day's questing... major mistake. I thought it would be one of those "memory" flashbacks seen from Theresa's perspective when the town of Skalig is attacked and that it would last 5 minutes max, but no, it launches the whole DLC and you can't return back to Henry's main storyline without reverting to an earlier save. So just a warning to anyone who buys the whole game plus DLC's in one go, but prefers to play the main game storyline and side quests first - be careful who you start a conversation with and accept quests from! lol. This is not to knock the main game as a whole, which I think is a lot of fun.

wtf what's wrong with you people?? this DLC is great, a very interesting story that fleshes out the events from the beginning. It's just impossible not to like Theresa. I don't understand the haters, there is a checkmark next to the statement that this thread in the conversation with Theresa starts a DLC. And there is also Johanka's thread ofc. As for me, it is great

The other reviews are reading to me as poorly disguised misogyny and skill issues. I for one think that the fact that Theresa & Johanka's stories are two of the most challenging is extremely rewarding!! It goes perfectly in hand with the general theme of the DLC being that a woman's experience in this age is extraordinarily challenging. Those that got 'tired,' 'frustrated,' or 'bored' surely didn't think of it this way or don't care. I'm guessing they expect things handed to them on a platter as perfect instant gratification that's easy to achieve. Sucks for them! Both stories were so impactful to me. Henry's relationship with each of them is complex and realistic. Theresa's story was devastating and made me cry more than anything else in the game, while Johanka's was deeply frustrating but real as hell for what women could've experienced at this point. People sure hate to be confronted by realistic portrayals of women's experiences.

Probably one of the worst DLC's I've ever played, absolute dogshit garbage, dogs included. Johanka questine is one of the best quest lines there are in KCD, but rest of it should be ignored. Some people might like houndmaster and dog mechanics, but to me mutt was always on the way, messing up pathfinding, pushing me and/or horse off roads, cliffs and into enemies and bodyblocking for the enemies. In general being absolute annoyance with constant barking until I finally got fed up and sent him back to mill permanently, only real use I see getting from it is hunting hares. Theresa's questline however is absolute lowpoint of this DLC, I don't mind it being difficult but the pacing is awful and there is very little agency in it, making it feel more like incredibly difficult quick-time event slash cinematic that is not skippable. Took me quite a long time to finish it partly because of how frustrated I got playing through it. Main gripes I besides one already mentioned is that Theresa is unable to use most equipment even it makes no sense as of why, I can get why most armour and clothes could be wrong size and could not be used but even disallowing the use of shields... bloody awful, also for some reason longswords were bugged with Theresa and she could not use one in two hands even if all other requirements were fulfilled. Another large gripe was not having any control of leveling and skill tree making it even more frustrating and unrewarding to play her. Another thing I hated is Tinker, as mentioned before I really dislike the houndmaster part of the game, but while Henry can send Mutt away Johanka is stuck with Tinker, in the end I just slashed it away whenever it came barking back since it was lot easier for me to play without Tinker. Pretty sure some Cumans are bugged in her questline, f.e I used 4 arrows and broke 3 swords on a single cuman, he surrendered 4 or 5 times before I managed to beat him down, all his equipment was at 0 but somehow he just refused to die. There was another on whom I spent 10+ arrows and eventually just ran away, 100% boss fight feels for regular cumans. Also it would be nice if during it you could see just Theresa stats not Henry's stats, I think I had more deaths during Theres questline than whole playthrough with Henry, her final kill tally 11 Cumans, 2 Guards, 2 Bandits, 1 Miner While I would play KCD again on hardcore I will never play that DLC again, if you get it as sale or for free Johanka questline is good and recommended and some people might like dog mechanics but don't pay more than few groschen for this DLC.

Do not expect a Chad Knight power fantasy, it's not combat focus expansion. The Woman's Lot is more about intrigue and traversing theological discourse, which is complete change of pace. If you like combat and you are not much of a scholarly type (especially ones not into Christian theology), you won't like it. For everyone who's going to the buy the Woman's Lot, updating your understanding of Christian belief will make you appreciate this DLC a lot.
Romans 3:20-24 and Sermon on the Mountain made manifest into a interactive questline.
I personally love it and found it immersive.

Legit great, Theresa's story is a nice change of pace and an interesting change of perspective. Johanka's is very immersive and again, a nice change of pace compared to the usual gameplay. The dog companion is also great, adds alot to the game and makes fighting multiple opponent more enjoyable. Overall great story lines, by far my favorite DLC, i have no clue how it can be voted so badly, it deserves better.

This is an excellent DLC!! I really like that it fills the story and adds a perspective of a woman to the game and medieval times. It has not been overdone, and I really like that you can't wear men's armor as a woman. There is plenty to be played and I like the missions, they are well made. I get it that some people don't like walking around, but I didn't feel like it was too much of wondering around. Everything seemed to make sense, and I didn't feel that it was just to make player wasting time while traveling. They seemed to automate some travels anyway, which was nice. The only issue with the DLC is that it started suddenly, I was not expecting that in the dialogue so watch out for that if you are not ready. I had played couple of hours with Henry (4th time throughout the Skalid) so it was little bit annoying to go back there just after I had got out of there, so I was a bit of sick of the place. But in overall, recommend this highly!

KCD A women's lot is a confusing, frustrating, and overall miserable experience. As a new player, i spoke with theresea after the awakening in rattays mill. Wanting to find out more about the raid on skailitz i engaged in dialogue and was quickly plopped into a DLC quest with no warning. Theresa says "this may take a while" before she asks if you want to hear her tale, but in no way, from a players POV, would i equate that to 6+ hours of frustrating, pointless questing that overstays its welcome after an hour. I assumed it would be a lengthy cut scene or exposition. Instead i had to bash my head against a wall for the entire time trying to deal with the terrible invisible walls on every rock and plant, making exploration and traversal painful. On top of menial fetch quests and one of the worst designed stealth segments ive seen in a game to date. The mines of skalitz is a true form of torture, followed by another fetch quest to gather supplies at night among a horde of enemies. Warhorse studios really dropped the ball hard with this DLC.
