This is one of those games where you have to look at it from a whole in order to appreciate it. This game's original team consisted entirely of one person. While others could have joined the team later on, that was who came up with the concept. Given that, it's very impressive. For starters I love the game play. It could stand to allow me to change the button scheme and skip cut scenes, but it's a short enough game (around 2 hours, give or take) that this wasn't a huge deal. Don't expect much from the story, It's more reminiscent of the original early era Playstation games where there's no real story to it. You're just fighting bad guys because. This also means that character development is non existent. It also means that the game play gets a little silly. Random stealth mission? Sure. Car chase? Why not? The ending has a very obvious anti American political prod, but okay. It is still worth purchasing and having a lot of fun with. <3 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3493594456 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3497081087 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3498551869

Bright Memory: Infinite severely lacks in game time. I don't need games to be 50 hours long, but being able to beat the game in under two hours while searching for all the reliquaries feels really disappointing. The story didn't make sense, the graphics were decent but poorly optimized, and although the general gameplay felt good, that isn't enough for me to recommend it. 3/10

Can’t lie — this game is visually stunning, and the fact that it was made by a solo developer is seriously impressive. The gameplay is slick, fast, and fun, especially the mix of gunplay and sword combat. But… it’s short. I beat the story in about 3 hours. Most of the rest of my time was achievement hunting or just AFK. Enemy variety felt repetitive at first, though it did get better near the end. Glad I grabbed it on sale — I wouldn’t pay full price for something this short. Still, it’s a flashy ride worth experiencing. 8/10

Rating: 6/10 – Flashy but Flawed Bright Memory: Infinite has some undeniably fun shooting mechanics. Gunplay feels satisfying, mixing fast-paced FPS action with stylish sword combat and slick movement. When it's working smoothly, it's genuinely a blast to play. But that's the problem – when it's working. The game is buggy in a lot of spots. I ran into strange physics issues, janky animations, and occasional crashes. Enemy AI can be inconsistent, and some parts of the level design feel rushed or unfinished. The story is also hard to follow, and the pacing jumps all over the place. It's like playing a beautiful tech demo that sometimes forgets it’s supposed to be a full game. If you’re in it for cool-looking combat and can tolerate some rough edges, it might be worth a short ride. Just don’t expect a polished or consistent experience.

Game is like ~2 hrs long but that small time was a blast tbh. Story is obviously nonexistent, but the mechanics of the game were really solid, and it felt pretty refreshing to play with the melee combat combined with shooting. I wish there was more. You should def wait for a sale for this game though.

Awesome game, I owned the original BM and was given this for free. I have to say the graphics are absolutely beautiful and the gameplay feels great, the boss designs are also pretty awesome. My only issue is the length as it is pretty short and I keep wanting more because of how good it is. Be sure to check this game out when you can!

Short fun game. It has all that it needs to be a fun action FPS, and to be honest I was quite impress, the devs had good ideas so it was enjoyable. I wish there would be more skins available tho.

boring single player fps wit half naked chinese bih as a main character really good graphics but the rest is just mediocre. not bad. just nothing new i personally see no reason in playing such games - always the same storyline, combat mechanics are similliar as well your choice tho. why not to give it a try

This game caught me off guard, it really was something that I was enjoying up until the second half of it. The gameplay is fun although a tad confusing since it requires many button combinations. Graphics look awesome but really are poorly optimized. And honestly, I won't finish it since I have been crashing a lot whilst playing this, I have crashed a total of three times when I was starting to get invested. Furthermore, there is a heavy rain element that really butchers the framerate and it seems that the latter half of the game is not optimized (Not that the first half was really optimized). I would give this a 4/10. Great gameplay. Not optimized and worth to play if you want something short, full of action and are willing to deal with crashes mid-game if you max out the graphical settings.

Obviously, this is an adaptation from the console, but somehow it is not adapted at all. The first part of the game can at least be configured in the video settings (although it does not shine with content). An attempt to set a normal resolution in the second part (since the game did not deign to set it on its own) led to a resolution freeze on the first game that came to hand, as a result of which had to test the game on a stretched screen, like on screenshots of ancient games from the 90s (however, in terms of content, the game is not much different from them). The game's shortcomings were not limited to settings. It turns out that the video intro cannot be skipped by any keys, I had to watch it. And I realized that in terms of intelligence, the game has not gone far from the first part (and, perhaps, has degraded), having seen the height of narrative idiocy at the end of the intro before the start of the gameplay - the heroine openly swims towards the enemies, who stubbornly ignore her, in order to fall obediently at her hands a few seconds later. There is no point in even talking about the heroine's superman-like wuxia in both parts. I will not criticize the infantilism of the gameplay, because this is a disease of the entire console ecosystem. I doubt that anyone over five will like the game. Refund, of course.

This game is genuinely impressive. The visuals are stunning, with a level of detail and atmosphere that really draws you in. The gameplay is engaging and consistently fun, offering a smooth and rewarding experience. What makes it even more remarkable is that it was developed by just one person. It's absolutely worth the full price.

Anyone else thought the previous one was better? Don't get me wrong I had a fun time overall but the previous game had more environments and more intuitive gameplay I felt, mainly with that anti gravity mechanic, in the original it worked fine but I swear it was more finicky here. Regardless as I said it's a fun time, just a bit repetitive as the games setting never really changes bar a few instances, same goes for the general structure, I know that's the genre, powerful main character against hordes of enemies but still. (Played on the steam deck, works fine)

It was pretty fun, so I wish it was longer. A very short game. Does not feel "full length".

This game’s a solid deal — surprisingly affordable and perfect for quick play sessions. It’s clearly a labor of love though! The dev put real effort into those clean, polished models. For the price? Total no-brainer 👍

Short and sweet. Interesting story, enjoyable combat, weapons and abilities have their utility. It's a bit buggy here n there.

A Painful game experience. The game is literally an infinite bug at least the PC release. Late control responses, combo hits that never work or work sometimes make you wonder why they worked this time and did not before. A couple of runtime exceptions that crashed the game during action. I wish I had kept screenshots of the runtime exceptions to post them here. Poor design of environment that cause the character to stay blocked in a place, and with the only option to restart the checkpoint to get unblocked trying avoid going to the same place again. These are just some of the issues, which were not occasional but systematic. Just avoid this game.

Good game, but too short, story's boring, some bugs objective that you need to restart checkpoint to continue going.

Fun game, cool concept. Kinda janky but made by one guy so its pretty sick. Started with the original Bright Memory and this one is more polished. Just glad I didn't have to juggle someone in the air for 15 hit combo to 100% the game lmao

The game is fun Every weapon and ability feels good to use and the combat is very satisfying I'm giving it a bad review because this game is broken, when i try to launch level 3 or 5 the game keep coming back to the homescreen even when i play from the beginning when i reach level 3 the game keep going back to the homescreen Fortunately it happened after i beat the game and got most of the achievements

Shooting is fun, great guns that pack a punch and very nice visuals. If this game would cost like 5 euro, maybe it would be good enough to recommend, but the game is long 1,5 hours and that is all. But I guess you can buy the game, complete it and then get back the money since by that time you have played less than 2 hours.

O Wow! Bright Memory Infinite takes longer to type out the Title than to Play the actual Game LOL I knew it was a "Short Game made by a single dude" but damn, 89minutes? Despite dying to the Boss a few times, I actually really enjoyed the CyberNinja-esque PC and her Powers. I hope this Dev can get Funding to make a Full Game, cuz this Playable Teaser/Demo is actually surprisingly really good.

Create your own action scenes. Bright Memory: Infinite — what if Far Cry, Tomb Raider, and Dark Souls were actually fun?

A black hole appears on Earth and you race to... wait, we have a black hole on Earth and we're not all spaghettified? OK... look, Bright Memory Infinite is an FPS, which means you aren't in it for the story anyhow. I mean, have you ever actually looked at the story of Doom or Quake? Yeah, that's what I thought. No, you're here for the cosplay. Wait, what?! I find it the height of hilarity that the DLCs for an FPS game are sexy cosplays that you won't actually see outside of cutscenes or maybe some boss fights I did not get to (judging from the preview vids). I mean, seriously, who would pay money for that? What you are actually here for is the action, which is pretty good except for one teeny thing: the controls. They're not great. Disclaimer, I am an ESDF player. That means I bind AWRG and sometimes QT to different actions, like reload, jump, and special actions. This game only gives you limited ability to rebind keys, so you cannot really move away from WASD. This made it a pain for me play. If this aspect was fixed, I'd be willing to give the game another go and possibly even recommend it. The graphics are amazing. OK, maybe not your character, but the rest of it is good. The sound is solid; though, the voice acting is subpar. The most impressive thing about this game is the same as its predecessor: The studio is really only one guy. Where that makes the resulting game quite remarkable, it also goes a long way to explaining some of the flaws. Also the cosplay. It totally explains the cosplay.

completed the game a while ago, honestly still fun to revisit and play through. not to hard of a game but some parts will challenge you. the gun play is clean and simple, don't shoot wastefully though since its pretty scarce. in my eyes its a 8/10

They say good things come in small quantities. This game, although short, its very well packed with it all. I very much enjoyed it and thus recommend it🙌👍 I do hope for another one of these games in the future.

Only thing that is kind of a let down is how short this game is. Game is very fun and fast pace and best of all, works great on steam deck. You can usually get this game on sale for like $5 and I absolutely recommend this. especially if you're a gooner and love shooting.
