Onde is an absolute gem of a meditative platformer. On my Steam Deck OLED, it truly shines. The core gameplay – surfing waves of light and sound to navigate abstract, evolving landscapes – is incredibly smooth and intuitive. It feels less like traditional platforming and more like conducting a beautiful, flowing symphony with your movements. The visuals are stunning, especially on the OLED screen. The shift from crisp lines to vibrant color swirls is mesmerizing, and the elegant abstract art style creates a uniquely serene atmosphere. Paired with this is the fantastic, adaptive soundtrack. The ethereal soundscapes aren't just background; they're integral to the world and your movement, making every action feel harmonious. As a perfect Steam Deck experience: Ran flawlessly on SteamOS (Linux) via my microSD card. Performance was smooth. Controls felt natural and responsive. The short, focused playtime (3 hours) is ideal for handheld sessions – perfect for unwinding before bed. My only nitpick: I wish it offered the Deck's native 1280x800 resolution. Seeing this gorgeous world fill every pixel of the OLED would be the cherry on top. Verdict: Onde delivers a uniquely calming and beautiful journey. It's a masterclass in audiovisual design, offering a Zen-like escape perfectly suited to handheld play. If you appreciate meditative experiences, abstract art, and sublime sound design on your Deck, don't hesitate. It's a short but profoundly memorable trip. Highly recommended!
