GOCCO OF WAR is a very kawaii shooter game in chibi style. In this game you can play in single player mod or multiplayer mod and choose quest difficult (easy/normal/hard). But in many times will be good ask others players for help because the quests can be hard if played alone, and play with others is more fun. PROS: - Chibis - Can customize their apparence - Third person view - Community is friendly CONS: - For now, has few quests (only 20 and you clear the game + 2 special mission) - Random crashes - Devs can promote more events - After completed all quests, the only thing that can do is complete achievements If you wanna buy the theme song, i´ll warn that has only ONE music in dlc. But the theme song is very good

You really can't go wrong with something titled "Global Online Chibi Combat Offensive". GOCCO OF WAR is a pretty 'grindy' third-person shooter. Normally, something being described as 'grindy' wouldn't sound all that great, but here it works pretty well. In a similar fashion to a certain Japanese game where you hunt monsters, much of your time on GOCCO will be spent playing then replaying the numerous quests to get that ONE LAST MATERIAL or THOSE FEW MORE COINS you need to build/buy an outfit part, weapon or other material. There's enough action to keep it from getting stale though, even when you're replaying Quest #20 for the fifteenth time to try and find that frickin' Dragon Blood. Quests can be played either by yourself on Offline mode, which typically grants you an AI teammate to follow and help you out, or Online with up to 4 players. Thankfully, material drops are 'instanced' for each player, so you don't have to worry about that guy with the max level weapon charging through everything and taking all the treasure. An assortment of clothes and costumes are available to customise your character with. Military uniforms, t-shirts and shorts, alien outfits, pretty much anything. If you decide that you don't like the look of your character or just want a new hairstyle, you can also edit everything about your appearance at any time when in a lobby except for gender, but with 16 character slots that really shouldn't be an issue at all. The weapons are fun to use, looking as bright as the rest of the game and having secondary uses such as charged shots or alternate attack functions. Each of the weapons can be upgraded to deal more damage, or evolved into a new form to add status effects (fire, lightning, poison, etc.) or just beef up the damage even more. Overall, GOCCO OF WAR is a nice way to kill some time after enduring some of the other offerings Steam has available. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm trying to save up a few hundred thousand more for that shiny new gun...

GOCCO OF WAR, which provides an opportunity to make many friends, is an ideal game for Steam users. The chat macros would help players to leap over a language barrier. So that everyone can have fun playing this game for a long time, I hope the devs provide more updates and new DLCs addition.

This game has more content than Battlefront 2015 It has: weapon customisation a myriad of clothes to create and choose co-operative singleplayer and an actual narrative! Battlefront 2015 is currently $110 with season pas whereas this is only $19 You save 478.95% of your money, what a bargain!

GOCCO OF "AFK" I just can't recommend this game for the following reasons: -Finding an Online Lobby: everytime when you try and play online and search for lobbies you will either have none to join or "If" you find one, the players will be all afk -AFK Players: as mentioned above 99% of the times players are afk and when the golden chance happens and you say to yourself: finally i'm lucky there's few players who aren't afk but no don't get your hopes up because they're 99.99% of the times speaking japanese or another language that isn't english so you can't communicate with them -Playing Online with a Random Person: If you think you can join an online lobby and play with a random person then you can dream about it for the following reasons above but don't worry there's a chance of 0.000000001% that you will be able to play with random person -Crafting Clothes and Upgrading Weapons Menu: the menu simply doesn't tell you which items needed for crafting clothes/upgrading weapons and even materials fusion which is very stupid IMO and very annoying and you can't even see what clothes are in game, the only way for you is to play to get the materials to be able to see ONLY the clothes that you have the required materials for which is again very annoying like why can't they just show us all of the clothes in the menu even without having the required materials to craft them. The same thing goes to weapons upgrading where the game doesn't tell you which items are needed to make your weapon thunder/water..etc.. etc.. but there's an ok guide about the weapon upgrading (on steam ofc the guide is not in-game) -The Lack of the Guides In-Game: there's no guides in-game which can help you about materials fusion, weapons upgrading, badge building for your "Fanta Avatar"and clothes crafting, there's only few Chibis that the game placed in the lobby (offline and online) where you can speak to them and they tells you about clothes that are dyeable and where you could play quests and other easy things -Crappy Updates: basically for every update they release you're going to wait centuries for them and it doesn't even worth the wait because the updates are really small, crappy and boring and they rarely release new clothes and the clothes they release are also abit boring -Getting Disconnected when Playing on Big Quests: i'm not sure if this problem is still going on but i highly doubt they fixed it so let me tell you about it, simply when playing on a large quest that can be played with +4 players, we were always getting disconnected and in the end we gave up and left the quest -The Price of the Game isn't Really worth it: really so if you wanna play this game then the only way for you to enjoy playing is by having a steam friends to play with you and my advice to you is to buy the game when it's on sale Simply the game is dead and there's only few players playing it, NOT playing it sorry i meant "being afk in it"

2 decades ago, a viral game, "Phantasy Star Online", from Sega, almost as old as WoW, has set an example of how online PUG dungeon crawling game could be made using a Peer 2 Peer game design that totally save cost compared to the normal cost heavy game servers that we've seen in the old school MMO, and it inspired a bunch of developers to pick up this trend. Not only the developers, this type of game play introduced a less commitment style of online game play, so the players can really go casual on their time management on when or how they play games. It has become a go-to game for a lot of week-end players who doesn't have much time for online gaming, and it really is widely loved back then. It's a win-win situation for both casual players and manufacturers, in fact, it has promoted the birth of "free to play" games due to the low cost server maintenance... Up until the hacker problems arrived which forced the later games needing an overhaul in design to put a huge bunch of process back onto their server to avoid cheating, and of course the server cost rises with it, but the free to play trend has been set in motion and there's no turning back. On the other hand, the introduction of micro transactions seemed to earn them more money than the old subscription based game that require full commitment from the players, so most game makers stick with it even when the cost is higher than they first anticipated. Some even kept on using the peer 2 peer system but introduced "anti-cheat" system to prevent players from cheating locally, while some design their games in a way that, they will not mind cheating at all or using minimal cheat prevention method for their online session, and these games still retain the "play offline" function like the good old PSO1. Well... this custom is inherited by Gocco of Wars here. Which means, you can play this as a stand-alone game without the internet or play it as an online game with friends or strangers you meet in the lobby and do a PUG dungeon run. The choice is yours. Most part of the game basic design here is similar to PSO1, from quest pick up to pick up group dungeon run. The game play itself is very similar to "Spiral Knights" (also "used to be" Sega game). While the visual and story setup is very similar to "A Hat in Time" that goes with the kiddy theme style. For those who loves "A Hat in Time", this game story and atmosphere is going to attract you. For those who think "A Hat in Time" is too childish, well, then you will have trouble enjoying the story at least. But the dungeon run part is still pretty fun. It's also worth to note that the dungeon run isn't "randomly generated" like PSO1, so the replay-ability of this game is kinda low and you can get bored of the dungeon re-run pretty quickly. That's probably a reason why there's no one to play with online nowadays. But in overall, if you like a short and quick dungeon crawl game that doesn't require huge time commitment to play, this could very well be your choice of game.

I like this game. GOCCO of War is a pretty simple game. It's entertaining and even fun if you have friends to play with. However, since the game is abandoned, and hopefully you will find 1 or 2 random players from time to time, I would not recommend purchasing it at full price. Just wait for it to be on sale. Mainly because there are few things to do once you upgrade your favorite equipment and since practically nobody plays it, I find it difficult for them to take the time to update it and add new content. So, what can you expect from the game? Well, pretty much the same things that the store page says in its section "about this game", just that I should warn you that when it says that up to 8 people can enter the same mission, what they really mean is that there are only 2 missions that allow up to 8 players. The rest of the missions (which are 20 main missions, plus a few extras) only allow 4 players, and one even allows only 2. Then, where it says there are more than 30 monster types it's a little doubtful. You'll see, there are whales, dinosaurs, birds, player-like enemies, and fire-headed puppets that I really have no idea what they were called, but beyond player-like enemies, the rest of the monsters are always the same but with a different color and size. Is that really bad? No, but it could have added points that there was more variety in monsters instead of always seeing whales. And yeah, the game is short, but the grace of replaying the missions is in the drop of the materials you need to create your costumes or enhance your weapons. Also, surely you can look for a guide for the whole crafting topic but personally I think it is more entertaining to discover the different fusions of materials on your own or with your friends. Talking about the gameplay in more depth: You have a health bar, and an air bar, which is like the equivalent of saying mana in any other game with the difference that absolutely everything except walking and jumping consumes your "mana bar". Running out of air will prevent you from dodging attacks and will make you walk slower for a short period of time, but that short period of time can spell DOOM. If you do not have a structure nearby with which to cover yourself until you recover your air, it is very likely that they will kill you easily so I don't recommend running straight at the enemy and pressing "attack" over and over like a monkey because you're going to end up surrounding yourself with enemies that will leave your butt like a sieve. I quite like this simple mechanic because it makes the player keep an eye on his air bar to know when to attack and when to back off to recover. And added to the fact that enemies do not stay still and also chase you wherever you go, it makes you have to be constantly alert and on the move. There are small orbs scattered around the map, some are for recovering health, and others are for instantly recovering air, so these second orbs can save you the tedious task of waiting for the air bar to recharge itself. In any case, no orb reappears on the map once it is grabbed so if you are alone on hard difficulty I recommend managing them well, mainly the health ones. As for number of lifes, you always start the mission with 4 lives, but they are shared with your friends, so if only one of you dies 4 times, everyone loses. There are several types of weapons, and each one has two types of attack, the basic attack and the special attack, each depending on the weapon will consume more or less air, and will make more or less damage. What is it that I feel that they did not take good advantage of? I really don't have much hope of seeing a GOCCO of War 2 although I would like it to happen, so this part of the review is a bit unnecessary, but there it goes anyways: They could have gotten more out of parkour and make many more platform areas and puzzles. Likewise, they could have made of the boss fights more than just taking on a player-like enemy who can teleport. Maybe something like making the stage part of the boss battle, for example, floors falling in the middle of the fight; projectiles with damage in area falling from the sky into different parts of the scene; small structures placed at specific points that until they are destroyed the player cannot harm the boss, or even the same but with interactive objects instead of structures to destroy. And finally, the last thing I would like to see in a game like this is more polished controls for melee combat. That would be all.

A cute anime chibi style game that I figure encourage interaction with players from all around. It allows an "Online" or "Offline" choice for you to play within, playing offline would occasionally allow AI bots to help you during missions while online doesn't due to the fact you can ask people to help you. There are around 20 story quests and 2EX quests, giving it 22 quests in total. Each quest has 3 difficulties--Easy, Medium, and Hard. The game has a good amount of customization for your character and a large range of costumes you can craft. The game has both melee and range weapons, however range weapons would be used most of the time in my opinion. The community is extremely friendly, one of the best I seen, you basically can ask anyone inside the community and they'll help you on quests and such. The game isn't fully done, I have read some of the developers comments and shown that the game will continue to expand with everything. So overall, i'm really looking forward to the future of this game, hoping the community and game will grow much larger.

I play this game more than 250 hours. I think the game is good and worth it (50% off). If you like chibi, please buy it (we need you). This games have a bit players. servers are not as good as they should if played internationally. But playing in the same region no problem. I hope developer will solve the problem with the server. I hope to Gocco of war 2 coming soon. ( 7.5/10 )

Phantasy Star Online + Chibis = nth degree fun. Can be played on, or offline. Character customization, weapon upgrades, crafting, costumes. Multiple Lobbies to choose from if you host an online game, including two holiday themed ones. Nice universal chat system, plus the standard hit 'enter' and type. Missions are limited, but can be replayed, of course. And a few lend themselves to repeated plays, like killing waves of zombies. Cheap, solid, and really addicting.

Note: If you're using a keyboard and mouse, you'll have a much better experience if you go into Options > User Request Options and turn off Camera move interpolation and turn on V-sync. This removes the "floaty" feeling the camera normally has. For the price, GOCCO OF WAR is absolutely a worthwhile purchase. Fans of Monster Hunter-style games will recognize familiar mechanics such as crafting, questing, and multiplayer lobbies, but the combat has a neat twist with the inclusion of the "Air" resource. "Air" will deplete with attacks or dodges and fill back up after a brief period of doing neither. It's pretty cool and never feels like it gets in your way, even when you run out of it. The game also has "badges" which seem to take the place of equipment buffs, allowing you to make a look without worrying about stats. Pros:

The aesthetics are solid. The art is cohesive across the game and never feels out of place.
Lots of outfit choices for styling your character.
Dialog is very cute.
The user interface is fluid.
The devs seem super friendly and active.
They did a great job with multiplayer.
Cons:

Not a ton of content (quests, zones) compared to other hunting games. However, for the price, this is totally understandable, and the devs seem to be aware.
Not a lot of varying music as well. The music included is great, though.
Crafting is kind of confusing at first since you have multiple pouches, books, and items. It doesn't take too long to figure out, though, and it's much simpler than Monster Hunter's system.
From my brief time, there weren't a lot of folks playing multiplayer. This might be a time zone thing, so I'll keep looking.
All in all, if you're looking for a cute, fun grind, I'd say buy it -- especially since the more people playing online, the better!

If you are searching a cute game to play with someone, I really recommend this game. The game might look simple itself, but seriously, I enjoy it a whole lots and the community is really nice as well! Pros : - For every age, can be enjoy by everyone. - Nice and simple. - Cute. - Easy (might be a cons for some that would want a lots of challenge), is not a game where you would see people rage. - Many adorable customization for your character (and of course I would wish some more in the future!) - Story is really enjoyable, really fun and cute for a small world! - Third person view that you can switch between a long range weapon or a short range weapon. - Control can be a bit confusing at 1st, since is different from many games, but is REALLY easy to learn and get use to it! - Relax games. - REALLY A NICE CO-OP GAMES!!!!!! Cons : - There is still not a lots of feature, such as pvp, but the game is pretty new. - Is not an open-world, I saw the screenshot and video, and I thought it was one until I got in-game. - Could be repetitif if you want to farm item or gold, since there isn't a lots of quest and if you want 100% achievement, you'll have to be patient. - Not a lots of people, the community isn't really big since the game itself is new, but IS REALLY A NICE COMMUNITY! - Lobby can only have up to 32 peoples, right now I never saw a full lobby, but hopefully if there is more player that they could add more slots. In conclusion, I'm really looking foward for the future feature of this game or an improved version with a bigger world! Really keep it up creators! Nice games!

This game is really good, I had a good experience and I enjoyed it playing it solo. ---Pros--- - Character Customization - Great Multiplayer - Good gameplay - Good controler support gameplay - Good tutorial - Good for playing solo - Lobby Feels Like Xenoverse ( Personal One Lol ) ---Cons--- - There are not enough players online - Takes too long just to level up a lvl 1 weapon - Sometimes lag causes your character to walk in slow motion - Alot of people are always AFK in the lobby therefore sometimes making multiplayer difficult to enjoy ---Things the game needs--- - More features (for example: Housing, Better AI Teamates, Make it feel like an RPG, a dedicated server, constant updates and the ability to atleast equip 3 weapons instead of 2) Overall it is a good game all it needs is constant updates and more players to keep this game fun because when there is a lobby half the people AFK in it.

Gocco of war, not much to say about it. It's simple, Childish, Easy to learn, but takes time to get good at. The game is based in a chibi universe where a corrupt company pit children to fight demon lords and other dangerous creatures. With weapons such as swords, spears, Miniguns, and Asian fans, you surge your way through hordes of enemies to collect loot and craft new and better gear or costumes. The game itself has a super friendly community although it is quite small. And revolves around co-op missions. Only issues I found with the game was keyboard controls are shockingly bad, and 60FPS unlock removes shadows which is a massive pain if you like the game looking whole. I give the game 8/10 -Different -Fun -Relaxed -Doesn't require constant play time to keep up.

Pros - Game style & play mechanisms - Variety in costumes and items Cons - Small community (very small) - A lot of grinding - Not much content (once you over come the grinding and collect everything) Overall Opinion - You either complete everything then get bored or get bored while grinding to complete everything.

This game is great, not only is the gameplay and customization fun but the community is so friendly! I've never played a game that made me feel so welcomed from the start. Really the only flaw is that the playerbase is small, but its not too small! ^.^

This is a fun co-op game but there are several things to improve, here's a few: - Controls are messy on both KB/M and gamepad and need to be reworked - No built-in anti-aliasing. Can't force MSAA on your GPU's config panel. (You'd at least expect to have a built-in FXAA/SMAA since Nvidia's FXAA blurs the fuck out of everything) - Can't buy 2/4-packs for a co-op focused game. Still, this game is enjoyable, but you better buy this on a sale like I did, or you may feel that it wasn't worth the money.

A fun and eye-catching game to pass the time. Unfortunately, it can get boring after some time, because the game was designed to play with friends, but fans of collecting and crafting items will find hours of fun just like I did. The game has cute lootable items (for example clothes and accs) and dungeons. It's really worth giving this game a chance on discount and persuade your friends to play together.
★ ★ ★ - -       maybe       ★ ★ ★ ★ -
to start i would definitely suggest this game if you can get it on sale for -50% or more, or if you have a friend or 2 you are going to play with then the $20 isnt that bad in comparison to the amount of content to play with most games being released now a days, and just the general amount of fun as long as your into the type of game it is. + General + game has decent options so you can set a few graphics options, and you can also set your keyboard config in the Options, although the page is kinda strange compared to other games key binding option pages, theres also a option for using Steam account or making it use your char name, but all it does it makes it so your friends and other players see your steam name above your characters head, or the character name you gave them instead. solid amount of character customizing colors / features, and clothing as well, the weapon selection isnt as great as it could be cuz it would be nice to have a couple different options of each weapon type to pick from, but when you get far enough in and start upgrading them and adding elemental dmgs it gets more intuitive, which theres a few more special options with the melee weapons compared to guns but its good enough. controls are good (although they are set to strange keys so make sure to change them), the pace of the action isnt crazy fast but its more strategy wise with dodging and your stat build, so its not the most intense and amazing 3rd person shooter, but its more of a thoughtful survival style while managing health and bullets, which it does do well. + Gameplay + the gameplay was surprisingly fun, its not like it has uniquely good physics or its super awesome but id say it has a good formula / dynamic to the gameplay so its an enjoyable 3rd person shooter if you like the cartoony feel, (feels a lot like a Wii game lol) which it has a decent amount of "missions" to do that if you play the game you will get your moneys worth out of it in fun, compared to other games with a $20 price tag, and single player items collected on characters still counts to all the same stuff you do and use on multiplayer. the actions are pretty nice where you can dodge in a direction to avoid attacks (which i wasnt really expecting from this game lol), and swap weapons in the middle of battle from gun to melee, or if you want you can carry 2 guns or 2 melee weapons on the same character depending on what kind of char your building, and you can dress them with clothes according to their role like snipers stuff, or punk rock metal stuff for Sledge hammer melees, or a samurai for sword melee chars. dont forget to set the "Switch Battle Mode" button to something easy to press, that way in the middle of fighting when your air bar runs out you can press it to run faster till it recharges, then hit it again to engage the weapons and attack again. theres even a special melee weapon you can craft that is a type of Wizard Staff that lets you cast elemental dmg at distance like the enemies you encounter doing the same, so theres enough customization id say its fair to good in comparison to most games again. - Special Weapon Crafts - 031: Savage Fang + 024: Griffin Feather = Paper Fan Melee Weapon 045: Unicorn Horn + 030: Silver Ore = Cane (Wizard Staff) Ranged Weapon you can upgrade weapons (level them up basically) by using some gold and a crafting material like the ones above to lvl up your weapon, and certain combos with certain weapons can add elemental dmg to them, making a water cane, fire machine gun, electric shotgun etc. the mission selection is pretty good with 25 standard 1-4 player missions and 2 party missions for 8 players (and mission #000 but its the tutorial), when you accept the quest you can check the possible benefits of badges, but also what types of crafting materials would drop during which is nice so you know what missions to scavenge for the stuff you want for the right costume or weapon enhancement. (use mission #009 for gold farming) there are also "Badges" which are kinda like charms / amulets / trophies, that add extra health, dexterity, elemental dmgs or resistance to elemental dmgs, total amount of air for attacks or speed in which your air bar recharges etc. so those are like "leveling up" your character, otherwise theres no char lvling like there is for enhancing weapons, the grade lvl of your equipment will dictate how many badges you can equip at a time, usually anywhere from 6-10. + Negatives + as you usually see ppl saying is theres not a lot of online activity, or not in the US areas, the game was more popular at 1st over in Asia, so really it comes down to if you have friends that have the game too that you will play with cuz theres not a lot of random finds, you can still play single player although some friends are best for the harder difficulties rewards on missions. there is around 28 missions or so although a few of them share the same maps, they have just been altered changing some walls and models around to make it playable to a different missions quest, which i didnt mind myself cuz i thought the missions were different enough i didnt mind the same maps so it doesnt get "that bad", but i can see that being a downer for some players. the AI is awwwwwweful lol, but thats to be expected in most mid tier games as well as i wanna say it was done mostly by 1 developer, but with bad coop bots that get stuck (although they arent necessary for the mission) and enemies with somewhat predictable movements the game would greatly benefit from a better AI setup cuz then i would definitely give it 4 stars for $20 the game will get some errors sometimes although the ones that keep the game from running all together are rare, (if you have it and make a review then leave comments on so ppl can try to help you lol) sometimes the online lobby will crash if its far away so you wanna make a lobby yourself then invite your friends to it, the game also isnt great with graphics options, i mean it has a couple at least so its not one of those games that only has 1 "Overal Graphics Quality" setting (ugh i hate those games lol) but there isnt a great deal of detail you can set, shadows and stuff are a little rough on the gpu but you can turn them off, along with Field Depth and HDR, so some more graphic control would help a lot. crafting and stuff is really confusing, it doesnt tell you the items / recipes at 1st till you start finding materials from mission drops, then when you have the 2 required materials you can see what it will make in the "Books" area of the crafting station if the recipe has the ❗ icon on it, after you make something it will show up with what you need from then on, and usually if you see an item to craft the items above and below it are the same recipe but 1 of the items is different, so if you spend some time playing and collecting stuff then youll get the crafting a lot easier, but it was just bad design for new players in the 1st few hours since you need to get the materials to see what can be crafted with them. + Conclusion + so mainly it comes down to if you plan to play with some friends to get the full value of the game, or for a cartoony 3rd person shooter its not bad at all if you like that and would play it in single player, this is another game i would definitely suggest on sale though which it does go up to -75% but id say its worth it at -50% personally.

It's wierd, it's wacky and more importantly; a blast to play with friends. This cheap game is completely worth it if you have friends into 3rd person shooters or are wanting something with not so hardcore or mature themes normaly associated with the geanre. 8/10

The best part about GOCCO is the community, even though it's dwindling. I've met most of my friends playing it, and I may meet many more in the coming years. What attracted me to GOCCO was the combat, it's really gratifying, the sound effects really makes it, along with the badge system to improve your stats. Only 28 quests, it can get repetitive after a while, but you may want to power through for the weapons, badges, clothes, and friends. I can't avoid mentioning one particular achievement, to get 100,000 kills while playing multiplayer. Though it counts kills done by friends, it's still too much, and I can say it took me 530 hours or so to get it, distributed over 2 years and a half. Overall, it's still worth it, but it's more of a game to join with friends than a game to pull an all-nighter, even though I did that in my first few months.

I play this purely for the social aspect. A lot of people from all around the world play this game, and they're all really friendly. Of course, there is a language barrier, but that's why there are macros that have text in the preferred language of each party involved for their client. The questing and the progression is a lovely bonus. Gives you a reason to play with people that are behind you in questing. Getting 100% in this game isn't TOO hard, but it'll certainly take a while, adding to the hours you'll spend on this game.

This game is great! but.... doesn't have that much players because not a lot of people know about it and it hasn't been advertised that much at all. Right now doesn't have much content story or side story or mission yet. but lets hope they do update more on this game's story mode or add more stuff. but yeah, it's worth my money :) and great game to play with friends and family.

a very fun cute action crafting japanese game with plenty of customization, I originally bought this game after the character creation and hub reminded me of the core aspect associated with the games Xenoverse 1 & 2 with both of those being games i deeply love i thought the similarities were a good sign and boy was i right! GOCCO of war is a definite fun and cute game, from the overall creation of your character, the variety of weapons, clothes, quest and crafting everything in this game is not just enjoyable to play with but to just enjoy and experience. It should also be noted that if you were interested in enjoying this game in offline singleplayer mode like i am there is no need to worry about that from the title this game can be played completely in offline and singleplayer mode so no need to worry about any always online annoyance. Also if you love splatoon you will love this game. my overall score for this game would be about 8.5/10 as the game does have some annoying aspects pertaining to certain quest but overall nothing that will stop you from enjoying it.

This is a very cute and fun game to play. You can do quests solo or with other people. However, it is quite difficult to complete by yourself. It is a lot easier to complete quests if you do them with other people, but it is difficult finding other players. Not many are still active. Overall, I recommend this game. Just make sure to invite some friends to play along with you.

Im not into FPS, but Gocco of War is no FPS. Im not into killing things, but in Gocco of War, there are no deaths. Im not into playin alone, and there are plenty of teamwork there. Im into meeting people and running cooperative games together! Im into getting and crafting cute outfits! Im into cute chibi childish enviroment that makes you so carefree that you forget adults do exist. Im into cute emotes and cute dialogs. I think Im into cute things. Also PUN PUN and SLASH SLASH! Zombies and Birds and Horned aminals and...and...@w@! How can a zombie be so cute?! >3< The maps are cute, the characters are cute, the weapons are cute, dying is cute, fighting is cute, ugly is cute... maybe only the name "Gocco of War" is not cute at all ;c. Unfortunatly, still not many people play this yet... I really hope community expands! Aun! >3<

Eh. Looked fun. Gameplay loop consists of grinding quests over and over for items and money, used to unlock and upgrade new equipment. Gameplay itself is shallow.

When I first saw this game, I thought it was adorable but didn't think it had much to it. I was right on both thoughts. The game is truly adorable and very fun to play but the amount of content it has is fairly limited. In my 8.5 hours of gameplay, I haven't finished it yet, but, If you rush through the quests on the easiest difficulty, you will have it completed in less than 8 hours, If you take your time and just play casually, you can make the fun last longer and longer. To my knowledge, there are only 18 quests and, as of this post, I just recently completed Quest 12. The game is about grinding to get outfits and weapons, but the grind isn't tormenting like many games. The only real downfall this game holds is its very small community. It is rare to ever see a public server on the server list which seems to discourage people from playing online. This game seems to be a game you play with a group of friends, or solo, rather than meeting friends on it. If you choose to make a server, it is likely that a few people will join, but it might not be a lot. I do not know too much about the community so it could be more active than I am seeing. When I joined a few servers in January, I had no idea what I was doing but the community I met was very helpful; I never once met a troll. (I could just be lucky.) In my opinion, $20 is a stretch to spend on this game, but, if you want a very casual game, this is the game for you, though it can get hectic at times. I impulse bought this game but I do not regret it. There is a demo you can try out if you're skeptical, it will teach you the basics and show what the game is like. If you're considering this game, try the demo first. Do I recommend this game? Yes. I will update this review when I play it more. Hope this helps. Edit: I am, currently, at 11.1 hours into the game, and I finally beat the final quest. There are 20 quests in the game but each are fairly unique, despite most using the same level layouts(never the same). I liked the game storyline, it was cute. Despite my completing the game, I only played on Easy Mode, which is the easiest of the three difficulties. There are also items called badges for stat benefits, but I never used any. I also never enhanced my weapons, but it is possible to do so. There is so much of the game that I have not yet experienced. I still recommend this game to anyone who may be interested. Edit2: I am, currently, at 16.7 hours into the game and I found the community! My problem with finding people playing was mostly because I was playing at around midnight, EST, when most people are in various timezones around the world. The people I met were friendly, helpful, and all around fun to talk to. There is a community, albeit a fairly small one, and the developers often pop into the game to talk with their players to get personal, chibi to chibi, feedback about the game. Though I am 16.7 hours into the game, I am still learning a lot with each passing minute. This game is far beyond worth it to purchase at its price and I expect great things for it based on what I have seen.

At the time I write this, this game's pretty alright ! The customisation seem to be the main selling point, and I'm not disappointed so far. That and well, shooting stuff while being cute. Maybe some color palette shenanigans would be cool ? This is more of an encouragement driven evaluation : this game can get pretty big if a solid playerbase settles. So yeah, I recommend this title, and hope to see more people get it.

I'd like to say the game is really not bad if you want to be relaxed from those competitive games. It could be online play or offline play. And people here are friendly. I still remember when I search for this game, the article wrote, "This is the first game I never see people say F-words." Also it has no exp stuffs make you want to level up or get higher stuffs. Nope, it won't makes you want to play the game like as working. Therefore, it still has many bugs can be fixed. Such as crash, sometimes get unknown errors and when I touch the board and then game crashed. It's a little hard to control even if I edit all stuffs as personal settings. And even if I'm in 60FPS, still feel not enough, it could be higher I think?(Sorry I don't know such stuffs but just feel like "lag" while playing.) The speed of walking/running really slow even if I use roll way to forward. I think the speed could be changed to be higher! Some textures look weird. I don't know how to explain. Such as if I go to a place, then there will have some stuffs include players get hided. And it makes me think nobody or nothing there. And the distance of shooting seems needs improvement. I'm not sure if it is the game setting which has already decided earlier. Sometimes when I can see the monsters in my screen, after shooting but they didn't get damage and I have to go near the monsters to shoot them. Network issues, it has no problem on playing with my friends. But sometimes don't know why, and it just get someone or I disconnected from the room suddenly. But you know we don't have problem on playing, such as high delaying or stuck. It may not happen too many times, but it could be improved. Language, I hope we could have Traditional Chinese in the game. Even if we have Simplified Chinese already. But I personal can't accept some difference of those words. I can understand the meaning, but I still prefer our own words to explain that. I don't mind to offer my ability to help this if develop team willing to make Traditional Chinese then. Anyway, this is a nice game. It can be better a lot. And you should play it if you're really want to be relaxed from something and enjoy coop stuffs with your friends. This will be one of best choice to play this.

This game is actually alot of fun, and the character customization is actually quite large, and you dont have to stick with the same face, hair, eyes, etc.... If you dont like it you can change it! As for the game it is a purely co-op game where players have to work together to complete missions, it is possible to solo the missions once you get good enough badges (what the game uses to help your stats).

This game is actually REALLY fun. You never get bored with more and more quests. Even if you manage to finish the quests, you can go online and grind some old ones with friends. This game is more popular overseas, but you will end up finding someone to play with. (My first time was with a group of 4) If you like Chibi's in general or If the Genre and play style pleases you, I'd say to give this game a try. My final rating for this game: 8.5/10

I haven't played much just about 4 hours so I'm just telling my first impression. It's a cute little chibi single/co-op shooter game where you can create your own chibi character and later on you can buy more stuff for yourself by collecting coins while your playing (hats, masks, outfits, guns etc.) After that you are ready to play by yourself or with other players online. Shooting monsters/bullies and trying to save everyone. There's different levels and of course more you complete the levels more harder it gets. The game style is cute, soundtrack lovely and the idea of the game is okey too. The only minus is that all functions aren't working properly. Like when I finish the levels I get to see how I did at the end but the text boxes are empty (or maybe the game just wanted to safe me for the disappointment because I did so badly) but I think that the developers are working with that problem! Over all I like this game and I reccomend this for you if you like cute chibi games who are trying to be heros yay! 8/10

• Casual • Full controller support • Online multiplayer (Create / Join public or private lobbies) - Domestic (your region) / Overseas (international) locale settings for lobbies __This is not an open world RPG, adventures begin by accepting quests in town.__ ** In-case this was missed in the product description: ** One lobby may consist of 32 players, ONLY 4 players may participate in a quest. A very entertaining and casual third-person adventure game that may be picked up at any time. Very reminiscent to classic '3D Platformer' titles like Mario64 and Banjo Kazooie. I hope to see the game and community grow, as this game is bursting at the seams with potential.

This game is dead dont even bother with it. Updates rarely brings new content and instead fixes "bugs" that kept the people who plays it. At this point the game is way too grindy for any newbies to join and way too dull for any old players to remain. Just go buy something else if you cant be bothered to read what i wrote above it will save you time and money.

It's simple and somehow basic in everything, but it has everything. This game's n°1 pro is that it's balanced: -It has enought customization to have you playing months to get some of them that you may find attractive (the store is updated every now and then, which improves this characteristic). -It's shooter part is quite good, having an interesting set of skills, weaponry and enhancements. -It didn't try to make an overly detailed mmorpg and fail in doing so. Instead, the chibi style allows the creators to concentrate on variety and an oustanding price-worth relationship for a Steam mmorpgtps (geez, seeing 60 dolla' VNs must make this point pretty biased on my part, so you may ignore this, or completely agree with me). All in all, if I had to write one word to describe this game, it'd be "satisfying". It's exactly what you see in the pictures and Steam tags. PD: -Yes, I understand why VNs are expensive, it's not like I hate that, but those numbers make me think "it's not worth it", as I'm not precisely a fan of the genre. -A nice improvement for the game would be adding more facial customizations, and making the expressions change when it's required (apart from the >.< that you get when you shoot at someone or get hit). -Excuse my lack of vocabulary. This isn't my first language.

This game is beautiful. The visual designs are great, things are colorful, the art style is simple but not lacking details. The gameplay is pretty good, with a wide variety of weapons and clothing styles, interesting stories and many different levels and maps you can explore.
A game which needs sure more players...
GOCCO of War looks like a cute chibi 3rd person shooter for small kids which have nothing better to do then beating the sheat out of each other with swords, guns and like. Well, ones that is said, it is true that it really looks like that but behind its cute look is actually a pretty good 3rd person shooter.
Daww....let me kill you with cuteness...
GOCCO of War really is looking like a game for people which are not adults for sure and anime fans which lost maybe some braincells of the way to the adult age, at least if you would think you would play it as adult (no offence here, dont worry) but behind the chibi style is actually a more and more harder getting 3rd person shooter which is easy and fun to play. Since they tried to go with a "chibi flair at all costs", your weapons are not weapons which "harm" someone. ALL your weapons work with "Air". Thats right. Your guns shoot "Air", your melee weapons work with "Air", your stamina is "Air". If you get shot you only get "KO" and not killed. Also it gives still a lot good weapons and clothes you can level up and the stages actually makes pretty much fun. The style and difficulty fits the flair. Still, the game can get quickly pretty hard if you play it solo on harder modes and it sure is a game you should try to play with at least "some more people".
And here comes the sad part...
Its actually a great game but sadly with a very small community. Dont get me wrong, it IS a good game but in the best time i only saw maybe 1-4 player Matches running (with maybe 2-4 people in it...). Still, the game is very enjoyable and i recomment it for people who actually have at least 1 friend which would play it together with them, really.
Do i recomment the cuteness?
I DO recomment this rare gem if you like 3rd person shooters which is not like a horor shooter or like BUT with caution. I recomment it more to people who sure are able to play it together with a friend (or more) since it can quickly get pretty hard if you only play it alone(and also boring) - next to this it will miss half the fun if you do so. I will not say it is a bad game, which it sure isnt, but it misses a good playerbase. I recomment it, again said, to people who are able to enjoy this game together with other people and like 3rd person shooters.

First quest tutorial Second quest Slay Satan tenouttaten would reccomend but really though this is a fun game where you get to be an adorable little deathbringer. You get to go into a lobby where there will be people who will be nice unlike most multiplayer games, you can go on quests with your newfound friends, build and upgrade weapons and costumes without either waiting hours and days or pouring money into the game's face (would reccomend the weapon making guide on steam that gives you some of the recipes), or you could even just relax in the lobby and hang out with the adorable chibbi peeps that are online :3 I haven't had much time in this game but I'm excited to put some into it!!!!! Great community Simple crafting that doesn't require hours or pay Adorable!!!! ^0^

Gocco of War is one of those games that just makes me smile. It's like a psuedo Third-Person Shooter mixed with a 3D Platformer mixed with...a sort of Monster Hunter vibe in a way. The game has so much more charm than I thought it would. It's colorful, adorable, and the writing is pretty wacky and fun. Heck, the gameplay is simple, and can be played with a keyboard, OR a controller. Well how about that! Anyway, Gocco of War is fun, and I'm honestly just getting into it. I think if you like whatever I mentioned, you'll find this game enjoyable. It's good fun.

Well, this game is interesting, i love how they made the anime chara base on the game, its beautiful actualy. But it lacks something, like the world (za warudo) need to be expanded and add some store or something like that. You know what? It should be (once again, it should..be) like those online MMORPG but this one can be played offline.

Games that have Demos/Sharewares are stupidly rare in this day and age, and we need MORE of them. Regardless of what you might think of the game itself (Even though I personally loved it), games with demos, and the developers that create that, need to be praised. Remember when Halo 1 had a demo? You could see how awesome the game was from just a single level. You could also decide if you LIKED the game before you bought it. Gameplay is fun, silly and perfectly balanced around the weapon types. They all have a purpose and a set of strengths and weaknesses. (Expect to grind a little for the HMG, however.) For a relaxing game that doesn't take itself seriously and has extremely low stakes, look no further.

all the fun of an mmorpg without all the crap found in mmorpgs. character customisations weapon customisations there's grind but so far it isn't horrendusly tiresome "grind entire levels 50-100 times to get barely enough materials for desired item" ***NO GOD DAMN MICROTRANSACTINS! YAY!*** really needs to be more games like this. And i finally got to do multiplayer. And it works effortlessly.

There's a lot to say about GOCCO, and yet there's very little to say about it at the same time. So let me just start with a couple stuff... pointless and trivial stuff that you may or may not find yourself asking. ** Skip to the bottom for TL:DR summary. First, why is it called "GOCCO OF WAR" when the game's actual title, "Global Online Chibi Combat Offensive", while more of a mouthful, sounds less stupid than GOCCO OF WAR? Second, why is the game purely co-operative, when it has the assets to create a pvp option as well? The game even has you shooting at other "children" during many of the 20... well, 23 stages. Third, why is this game so grindy? For a casual, non-pvp game, getting badges and creating weapons requires a large investment of time, moreso than games like Monster Hunter do. It's not even fun half the time, especially when you, as the player, realize that every enemy is in a fixed location, and the only variation between runs is the pattern in which the AI moves. Fourth, Enemy AI can be cheated out if you stand on a lower ledge of thin platforms. Fifth, If a gun has a long barrel(such a gatling gun), the player can clip the gun through thin walls and shoot enemies through them. Sixth, Despite the game's many costumes, most of them are just recolors-- why not just make 100+ costumes that are unique and can be colored any way the player wishes, instead of having 300 costumes, 5 of which are recolors of the same costume, totalling less than the 100 individual ones overall? The game is only as fun for as long as you are playing with friends or other people. GOCCO of war quickly becomes stale if you are playing it alone, unless you like grinding for costumes. Quests can be done solo or in a group, with enemies scaling to the amount of players present. Let's face it, though, will you really replay all the stages again without friends, unless you're grinding out specific mats? Highly unlikely. GOCCO has little replayability, which is why it has to be masked with endless grinding for S rank badges, materials, and money. Having played it for at least 35 hours, I feel it's fair enough for me to say something along those lines. Peakvox played it safe and made the game PVE only, which isn't a bad thing, but they had little updates. For a game centralized around PVE to have no meaningful updates, its death was sealed to be far earlier than most. Had there been a PVP option to GOCCO OF WAR, I assume that would have extended its lifespan by about a year or two, maybe more if it was secretly a hardcore game, but there is none. With the addition of PVP, the game would become a lot more toxic with infestations of upstuck memers and other unsavory personalities. That's a risk most companies must take if they wish for longevity for their game. Also, speaking from experience, the game can be pretty balanced pvp-wise, as there are solutions for everything-- every weapon type has its strengths and weaknesses. With minor balancing, GOCCO OF WAR could be very successful as a PVP game. As it stands, GOCCO OF WAR is a ghost town-- much like the hidden lore to the game. As far as I remember, GOCCO OF WAR's setting takes place in
a post-apocalyptic world, where there are many similar airtight structures that what's left of humanity reside in. Children are allowed to play to avert them of the harsh truth, as the game's many stages are virtual reality re-creations of many areas within the world's pre-catastrophic state
. Of course, I feel like I was reading too deeply into the things various NPCs have said, and it might not be that bleak, but hey... would be pretty cool, right? I'm giving this game a thumbs down, simply because the game's pricetag in comparison to its content and replayability just don't agree. The game's only about 10 hours tops if you take the time to grind a little for better equipment, but aside from that, it's incredibly short. For me, $1 means 1 hour of play, and asking me to play for 20 hours is really quite demanding. Fortunately, I had friends to play it with, and the game was pretty active when I was playing. Usually about 100 people on at any given time, even the late hours of night. Fortunately, I got this game on sale, so I definitely got my money's worth out of it... while it lasted. Anyway, TL:DR - The game's a literal ghost town, both in lore and in community. Don't play it unless you have a group of friends (1-3), or if you like mindless grinding for materials to make costumes and weapons that no one but yourself will admire anymore due to how empty the server(s) are.
