Please let there be a new Lego Lord of the Rings with updated gameplay one day! This game and franchise of LOTR made such an epic combo!

One of the best Lego games. The levels are quite fun and the open world is beautiful. And I 100% it. Even though the game is one of the best, it is still pretty buggy in some areas. Some mithril bricks are really buggy and hard to obtain. Achievements like "It won't be that easy" are bugged and need some pretty weird setupping to be able to obtain. Even though the game is buggy, is it still a really fun experience and is visually stunning for a Lego game.

Solid LEGO game with a mini open world Middle-earth. It's faithful to the movies and even has some of the dialogue from them. However, if you want to 100% the game you may find it quite tedious. Having to go back and forth in the open world and between levels. There is also no windowed mode, requiring the use of an external program (dxwnd).

Great game! Was only frustrated going for the end-of-level running section minikits, so if there are any complaints, it'd be that.

I’ve spent 30 hours in LEGO LOTR, and it’s pure nostalgia mixed with classic LEGO charm. The humor and storytelling make it way more fun than I expected, especially if you’re a fan of the movies. The puzzles and collectibles keep you exploring, and it’s a great game to play solo or with friends. Definitely a solid pick for a lighthearted adventure.

this game could use some fixes of the glitches that need more fixing but other than that it is a fun game to play i enjoy playing this game alot.

Fun to play, especially Co-op - not many games still have features like that. Works perfectly on Steamdeck with Proton Experimental. Some old game jank, but nothing too bad.

I love LoTR with every molecule of my body so I just had to go for the %100 - a must for any fan! The bugs and glitches absolutely tried my patients, but the oh so familiar environment & music made me keep coming back to grind it out... I'll do The Hobbit also, but for now.. on to the Skywalker Saga :D

Just think the frashice was good at first but after this, i love it. Really good game from the golden age of TT games. pick it up on sale with it's buddy game if you can!

This game is so good! I was sort of put off by Lego games lately but thought I would give this one a shot based on my love for Lord of the Rings. It did not disappoint in any way. The map is so good and actually allows you to walk from one end to the other and complete missions along the way. Of course the map is scaled down significantly but it works trust me. You will encounter every main scene from the three movies in a way that enhances the Lego aspect but doesn't take away from the gameplay. It also has actual voice over from the movies and its not cringe at all lol in a way certain other Lego titles get at times.

A game I played on dvd as a kid with my siblings, so very nostalgic. All said its a good adaptation of the Lotr Movies: more comedic, its a Lego game, but still getting the story across. Obviously the original story is one of the best ever written so this even as a childish adaptation is going to be solid. Music (and some voice acting?) is from the films so high quality. Game mechanics are fun to use and unlock for the most part but get somewhat repetitive after the first 20 hours. The map is again mostly fun to explore the first time. I went to complete the entire game so I had to repeat areas, puzzles and entire levels just to get one last collectable here or and achievement there. As you near the end game it can be really satisfying to see your progress so I'd say its worth the effort. In terms of problems, this game has got plenty of bugs. If you're just playing through the story you won't see many but there are some places that you can just get stuck/soft lock yourself out of a levels completion, and though it has checkpoints every so often it can be really annoying to replay. The camera in levels is inconsistent, they clearly wanted to make it cinematic (it is) but when doing puzzles it can get frustrating. Also I have technically not completed the game fully. This is because the game is just bugged. In the dead marshes level there is a way to accidentally get a collectable item multiple times and end up with 4/3 which the game interprets as 0/3 for some reason. So I can never get the last mithril brick so I can never make the last item, so I can never complete the last quest. Kinda annoying for 40 hours of playing to just be stuck at 99.8% completion.

One of, if not, the most nostalgic Lego videogame of my childhood (and perhaps my favorite as well). Even after all these years, it is still such a fun and worthy experience.

This is a great lego game i would recommend playing it, its so funny and entertaining.

I bloody love this game. I'm a huge Lord of the Rings fan and a huge Lego fan. This game is faithful to the source material, full of characters and content to play, it features what's essentially an open world that's basically the entirety of movie Middle-Earth, and most importantly of all, it's FUN. The cutscenes are incredibly well done with jokes injected in here and there and the gameplay is exactly what you'd expect from a Lego game. This is easily my favourite Lego game, and best of all, it runs on the Steam Deck (with some minor tweaks)! If you're a LotR fan, give this a go, you'll love it.

the water and lava are very glitchy and it hurts my eyes so i dont recomend this game
