Unsure why it's getting so many bad reviews, I can only assume a kickstarted promised something else and people were not happy. I stumbled upon this game by accident it's exactly the kind of game I was searching for. It has that art and atmosphere vibe going first, similar to Scorn, Agony, Necrophosis. I'm not done with the game, but so far I am happy that I stumbled upon it. Performance is at time ass, seems to be very CPU heavy of all things, kinda weird for a 2017 game, the sound design is ok-ish, if it didn't bug out or cut out so often.

Inner Chains had an intriguing premise, but after a few hours, I found myself struggling to stay engaged. The game’s biomechanical world is visually stunning, with surreal landscapes that feel like stepping into a twisted nightmare. The art direction is undeniably impressive, creating an eerie and oppressive atmosphere that initially pulled me in. However, once the novelty of the setting wore off, the gameplay started to feel uninspired. The combat lacked impact, with weapons that didn’t feel satisfying to use. Enemy encounters quickly became repetitive, and the movement felt sluggish, making exploration more of a chore than an adventure. The story had potential, but its delivery was vague and disconnected. I kept waiting for deeper lore or meaningful interactions, but instead, I found myself wandering through beautifully designed environments without much purpose. The pacing was slow, and the lack of engaging mechanics made it difficult to push forward. After about three hours, I realized I wasn’t enjoying myself. The world was visually fascinating, but the gameplay didn’t hold up. *Inner Chains* felt more like an art piece than a compelling game, and while I can appreciate its aesthetic, it wasn’t enough to keep me invested. I ended up putting it down, feeling more bored than intrigued. If you’re looking for a visually striking experience, it might be worth checking out—but if you want engaging gameplay, this one might not be for you.

I like it . The look and concept are quite good . I didn't pay full price for it so I can't gripe too much . It reminds me of Scorn in the artwork .
