Solid 40k. Don't know a lot about Navy-focus RTS, but this one is pretty straight forward with an easy learning curve. It isn't the most in depth in terms of faction management, and in battle micro can get tedious, but the campaign difficulty has a customization that allows for practically every level of player, outside maybe the most plugged in no-life's. Solid fun for any RTS fan and a must play for any casual 40k fan. (Also buy the full collection on sale, there's no more content coming out for this game). BIGGEST DRAWBACK IS THAT THE GAME REQUIRES ONLINE CONNECTION AND ANTI-CHEAT EVEN IN SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN, but you can play it offline if you yank your internet out of your house and mail it to the studio with a note saying "F*** YOU!". I really detest this modernism in gaming where everything requires a nanny-state connection to a server and now 3rd party software to run hand-in-hand with your stand alone purchase.

Not sure what people are saying about failing to boot up. Running fine on my machine. I9-12900k, 4080 super, no problems with the game running. The game itself is fun, especially in co-op. Love that the campaign is co-op too. I wish more games had co-op campaigns. It's a bummer that all the races don't have their own campaign, but at least you can play them all in the battle mode. Especially worth it if you like RTS games and/or WH40k!

Tl;DR, New computer in 2025, game crashes after 2 minutes in menu. online forums blame Developer incompetence. After 7 years on one computer, I was Finally able to buy something brand new. I got a new pre-built in early 2025. after playing newer games and older games I already own with WAY better FPS. I decided to re-download BFGA2 on 6/11/2025. But everytime I run the game, it crashes within 1 or 2 minutes after launch. I could be in the menu just sitting idly, or in Battle mode designing a fleet, or in campaign hastily launching into a fight. The game will just freeze and crash, no explanation. I haven't tried any workaround yet, but I'm very disappointed and slightly sadden at the fact I can't just play an epic space combat game based in one of my favorite Sci-fi settings right now.

Unfortunately, I have to leave the game a negative review thanks to constant crashes that make the game unplayable. Devs seem to have abandoned the game.

It looks better than the 1st game, but it does not have the flexibility or depth of the original. Just get their first game and leave this one alone.

I really want to recommend this one, but it crashes almost immediately upon booting up :\ I thought it was some kind of 'when tabbed out' but it does it even when in fullscreen windowed mode.

Wanted to play the game again. EAC asks to turn off windows defense. Yeah sure. Devs don't care and seems like they're not gonna do anything to fix this. What a shame.

Do not enjoy playing. Decided on trying the Imperial campaign on easy to ease myself into the mechanics of the game. Core mechanics are not well explained. Maybe its just not a game for me but I'll have to give his one a pass

Guess I'm one of those where the game just crashes after a few seconds. i5-12400 16 GB RAM RTX 3060Ti not the the oldest, certainly not the newest just...unlucky I guess. It's now the only game I ever requested a refund for. My thanks to the Steam support. Even on a weekend and during a summer sale they took care of the issue within minutes.

I used to like this game. But newer computers cant play it and it is very buggy. More than it was. Maybe because i have a newer PC? My Specs: Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700F 2.10 GHz Installed RAM 64,0 GB (63,8 GB usable) Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti (12 GB) System Type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Oh and it is installed on an SSD. And still this game cant run. Very disappointing. I used to like it. And the premise and mechanics are great. The bugs are not. You need to change your start settings for newer CPUs otherwise it will crash after 3 minutes in the menu. However that is not all. Eventually you have to abandon your campaign. Because it bugs out. New fleets you make will be some unknown characters that the system doesnt like. And if you alt tab or end turn. The game will freeze and essentially crash. Its so broken... I didnt had this on my old PC. Apperently a lot of these bugs are because it is incapable to be run on newer systems. But this is a game from 2019! Like how can it be abandonware after 6 years?!?!! No devs. No support. Nobody is responding. And i cant refund this broken game anymore obviously. I originally bought it at release. Back then it worked better than now. Now i cant even play it. Unless they do a next gen update that actually fixes the issues. Just unplayable for me. Litterally.

Game is completely broken nowadays. Don't bother wasting money even on sale.

Wish I could say I love it, but it just keeps crashing in my campaigns preventing me from advancing. Unfortunately without an update to fix this or a community fix I can't recommend Gothic: Armada 2 at this time. I really hate having to say that too, because I loved the first one an awful lot.

Super basic RTS, poorly executed and cashing in on the 40K fanbase.

there arn't many warhammer games that let you enjoy every faction but this one does, and it does it well. i enjoyed the gameplay and the storymode unfortunately i didn't get around to finishing it before upgrading to windows 10. For years now i have not been able to run it on windows 10 and 11 despite the hot fix which was supposed to solve an issue with it persistently crashing shortly after launch. sadly this game seems to have been abandoned by its devs. even tho i liked this game i can't leave a positive review for a game that i can no longer play.

An absolute masterpiece of a game, with truly amazing cutscenes and gameplay that is nostalgic and new.
