Halcyon 6: The Precursor Legacy

One of the better DLCs I've seen from a game. It adds a whole new layer of content for very little cost, and gives you a lot more to plan and strategise about. The Behemoths are a new enemy type, and I probably had the most enjoyement out of any fight fighting the Behemoths and their offspring. They're relatively simple, with only 3 attacks, but are extremely entertaining to fight I found. Depending on the tier of the Behemoth, you will get a certain amount of artifacts, which you can use to build and upgrade the PRECURSOR SHIP! The Precursor ship is a very interesting concept, allowing any officer and any amount of attack combinations, along with the new attacks specifically for the ship, make it extremely useful in any combat situation. And when yuo reach T6 and max upgrades with this ship, lets just say your enemies wont see what hit them.

Good for the price since it gives a way to train crews and a highly valuable multi-role ship that bridges the gap for many fleets. My only issue is that these space whales don't stop appearing and soon your sector is swarmed with up to 2-3 behemoth fleets. It gets worse when pirates appear suddenly on systems with several behemoths on it.

I've really enjoyed this DLC so far. It adds flexibility and new optional targets that make the game interesting. It's unfortunate that the death animation for one of the boss's eyes is a little wonky, and I've noticed an annoying bug in the form of random progress circles all over the map starts cluttering that portion of the interface, but they disappear after combat usually. I've seen a few crashes in late game, but I'm not certain of the origin yet. Still, for $3 this is a great little expansion. I've spent more on a snack at Costco that didn't last nearly as long.

This DLC adds a great deal of fun content to an already excellent game. Plus, as a bonus nod to one of the greatest games of the past, the precursor ship's default name is Vindicator, which is the default name of the player's precursor ship from Star Control II.

Great DLC for the base game. The Precursor ship is very useful for training new officers and the fact that it can use attacks and skills from all of the other classes is nice too.

Adds meaningfully to gameplay during the mid-game. Definitely worth the price.

Definitely improves the fun of the game significantly. The ship actually adds alot of new strategies in space combat, and the "Behemoths" are pretty cool to fight as well. Also it's pretty cheap.

The Precursor ship is way to OP But the Idea and flexibility is very nice would be awesome to have 3 of those for unlimeted combos The Behemoths are way to cute to hunt down..

What the? I completed the game for the 1st time without even touching this new DLC? Basically, it introduces a new alien star ship that you unlock by purchasing the alien hanger bay first. You have the option to hunt down space whales for relic items to upgrade your new alien star ship. The thing is I never really had to? It's just an extra additional optional thing you can do in the game. I thought this DLC was ingrained in the story line somehow? Oof, it's not what I expected but was on sale.

This is a neat little DLC and well worth its small asking price.
