Populous™: The Beginning

I absolutely love this game. Despite its age, it remains one of my favorites, and I find myself coming back to it every few years. The gameplay, atmosphere, and nostalgia keep pulling me in. Unfortunately, I can no longer play it because it freezes completely in the main menu. I’ve considered changing the sound settings in case that’s the issue, but I can't even get far enough to test that theory. I also tried running it in compatibility mode (Windows XP SP3) and using an alternative executable file, but neither worked. It would be great if someone had ideas on how to get it running again.

Great game so glad it made its way on to steam so i could play it again, it was a game from my childhood.
