HardPunch: Sex Plague

This "game" is a barely coherent, unfinished asset flip. There is no save system. ESC completely exits the game. The animation is all glitched. The enemy and protagonist designs are awful. There are no in game physics. The map looks like a bunch of random structures and objects dropped onto a prefab landscape. Obstacles are meaningless, you can walk right around them. NOTHING makes any sense. "HardPunch" was clearly thrown together with little or no thought, and is just as shameless as the unending stream of "hentai puzzle" games that hit Steam after the adult content embargo was lifted. You can easily get better, more interesting adult content with Skyrim mods. Honestly, I don't even mind it being what it is, it's your money, spend it as you wish. There is more to my objections, however. The developer/publisher, as far as I can tell, (it's just 2 people), decided to Co-Opt the title of a different adult game, "Subverse" whose independent team had a very successful Kickstarter. SUBVERSE is not a common word, and there is ZERO justification to use it in a game title, and there certainly is [u]no in game justification to use it[/u], in spite of Orgipix's claims. (They have given multiple reasons, NONE of which make sense.) It's a shady means to gain attention for their game, by "borrowing" an uncommon title from another small, independent developer. I bought it, just so I could give it an honest evaluation.... maybe after a year or so of work.. (and a complete redesign) Hardpunch could have resembled an actual game, but now, it's a clear, shameless attempt to exploit gamers and an indie studio's hard work, simultaneously. The goal of the game is to beat three big baddies, and enter some sort of portal; however, it's possible to skip each challenge preceding them, and win the game in five or so. Many enemies guard "sexual mutants", which can be sexed-up to acquire consumable items (such as healing potions) or unlock cutscenes (which divulge the story). Throughout the world are numerous traps, but take care to avoid them -- they will instantly kill you. In the world of [b]HardPunch: Subverse[/b], you only live once. In other words, if you die, you must restart the game (and there's no such thing as saving either!) [h1]Story[/h1] The game doesn't divulge much information about the story, so let's take a look at the Store Page. "The hardPunch heroine lives in a post-apocalyptic world where the goddess Venus is the cult object of the survivors. Humanity has become sterile. Creatures are created in laboratories through genetic engineering. The world has become horrendous, wicked, and extremely dangerous." Based on my understanding of the game, "hardPunch heroine" is trying to acquire the power of Venus. Venus is the goddess of sex and desire, and as it turns out, the heroine loves sex. Fortunately, gaining Venus' favor is as easy as entering a portal. But that portal is guarded by those lab grown creatures. . . [i]for reasons.[/i] [h1]Visuals[/h1] The titlescreen is alright. I enjoyed the goopy heroine, but I would have appreciated an animated presentation. I don't understand the inclusion for "WASD" keys -- considering this is a PC game, aren't WASD controls a given? From "Options", you may adjust audio, control and display preferences. Overall, the "Options" menu is sincerely lacking in functionality. Keen observers may notice a lack of "continue" or "load" options. They are absent due to lack of save functionality. There is no gallery, forcing you to replay the game to review adult content. The "esc" button will close the application -- yet the game literally tells you to hit "esc" to exit menus. (thus closing the game). I guess, [i]technically[/i] it exits menus, eh? [b]- The Goods -[/b] I don't know how many sex-scenes there are, but they are either rendered in-game or via animated cutscenes. The in-game animations are marred by the messy interface, and don't sync correctly -- as a matter of fact, you are permitted to move normally (while continuing the sex animation)! The cutscenes are comprised of several animations, often with dialogue regarding the story. All adult content is linear, and possesses no interactivity. I wasn't impressed. [h1]Verdict[/h1] [b]What a train wreck.[/b] Don't buy this game -- at least, wait for updates (and lots of them!) [b]HardPunch: Subverse[/b] is a poor man's Dark Souls with lewd content -- don't get me wrong, that's [i]my[/i] kind of game, but [b]this game[/b] isn't fun. It's a buggy mess that lacks the most basic features (like [i]save functionality[/i]). If you touch the wrong thing, [b]you die.[/b] If you fall off a ledge, you may get stuck and be forced to restart the game. Game need a lot of work to be something very amazing..right now it is amazing but just for the protagonist that is so damn sexy...in future this game might be a piece of art if developers wont abandon it ..if you want to roam around with a sexy girl and defeat few enemies ..you can take it ...and case you bored already after like 10 min :D ...wait for update ...and you might wont get bored at all .....enjoy !!

This game is pretty much a very early access game that feels unfinished to put it nicely, as such I can not recommend this game to anyone because I see little to no redeeming features of the game in the time I was playing it. The controls feel clunky, to the point that you find yourself fighting the controls more than the enemies. The animations are off or messed up, so yeah if you’re only here for that other than some non-interactable cut-sences more often than not the models of the characters are not working correctly, ex. I triggered the interactable animations and walked away to find my character stuck in that animation, cool so I’m just doing squats forever now I guess. If you are wondering if there is a story then, it is generic as you would imagine, some guy tried to play god, backfired and everything went south real fast, and you’re the only one that can stop it because *reasons*. Don’t waste your money here, there are other games worth your time if you look around on the steam store, and if you want this “genre” of games look up the tag “NSFW” with some effort you might find something right up your alley.

Seems to be a digitized version of a webcomic. Very explicit. Graphics are a bit wonky. Decent for those who like this type of thing.

It starts out pretty cool, but make a mistake and you go right back to the beginning, losing everything you've accumulated. Even if you save a game, you still lose everything you had. Maybe that's the fun for others. Not for me.

Where to begin, is the game fun...Kind of. But it's so convoluted and how the game runs is not great. At the end of each scene, you have to fight to get to the next part. Will it load or won't it, most of the time no. You get this beautiful scene, concluding the story and then.....Yea nothing. So you go through that part multiple times in order for it to correctly take you to the next scene. Is it on purpose to make you play the game longer, I don't know but if it is its not a good way of gaining retention. It's buggy and kind of weird how things kill you, like it's more of a bug problem than a mechanic. Do I like the story, yes it's interesting which is what makes you plough through multiple times of the same instance, but it also starts to wear you down. I think the game is interesting and has possibility, but the execution is not great. The developers come across as being, very new to making video games and it shows. I want this to be better by no means am I saying I don't like it, but at the same time....It needs work especially moving from one map to the next, in the palace part, the machines you read lore from didn't work. And then trying to move on was tough, as of writing this I have not moved on to the next scene....But I will keep trying.

Good. What can I say about this game? I have a lot of fun. It is not a game for anyone, I admit it because sex is a delicate terrain. The game is promising, despite the bugs. However, the developer has never hidden that this game is gradually evolving (that's what I read in the store and in the community). Of course, there is so much game here at STEAM. It is difficult not to be demanding. The qualities: It is a beautiful game to watch. I don't know what the previous version of the game was like, but the one I played is running fine on my machine - Pentium i7 - 64 RAM - RTX 2070 (32/45 pfs). Believe me, there is a story! It is even possible to see a digital version of the publication of the graphic novel that the game was inspired by. The heroine is hot and doesn't hesitate to keep showing her ass to us. It was a little bizarre, but I liked it. I'm going to give Hardpunch a chance to win. For me, it is worth the price. There are more buggy and more expensive games out there. (I didn't think about Cyberpunk 2077. I love this game!) Problems: There are some bugs that cannot be denied. In some moments the player floats under the ground after dying (this happened on the other side of the river facing some of the enemies). It's repetitive. What paid off was to try 3 different scenarios. Very beautiful. The animations are good. However, it has some problems. Sometimes we don't feel a good interaction between the characters. I brought this, by watching the trailer. The game is broken and not good. At least patch it up. But You are releasing more games. respawn should be from the check point. but again have to work on it. you can at least make her go and kill those demos with what you showed. Very Sexy GAME so far, Lots of action, a few little glitches with the interface, but not Bad. Game Mechanics are actually quite good for the most part. Graphics are very detailed, very cyberpunk-esque, and really quite explicit. So Far, I like it.

I'm giving this game a recommendation because it seems like the devs weren't really familiar with early access and the usual state of development most projects are there. Honestly I wouldn't buy this game as is, because there's still a LOT of work to be done, from the hud to combat mechanics, inventory slots to a tutorial of any type. Depending on how small the team is it could be a year or more before they've finished. BUT there's a lot of potential here. Sex scenes are more often than not gratifying and of good quality, and you can just tell the aspiration here is just to make a good game, and learning how to. So if you're looking to play an NSFW game that isn't another anime visual novel or dating sim, keep an eye on this one.

Freeze a lot, and everytime you press esc, games close. no matter what.
