DCS: F-14A Fear the Bones Campaign

Exciting and beautifully made campaign. After zone 5, I didn't expect anything else from Reflected. Is worth the money, a must have for every DCS Tomcat pilot.

Highly recommend!!! This is how missions should be done. Great immersive voice play. Addictive and original mission stories. Genuine and fresh ideas or story line. Engaging and challenging missions. There are some downsides as campaigning is protected and you cannot convert it into multiplayer to play with your friend :/ But other than that best campaigning for F-14. Better even than the one that F-14 came out with.

You can buy it blindfolded! It's the best campaign that I have ever played... a wide variety of well balanced missions, never boring, well done briefings, departure, recovery and refuel procedures... plus a lot of "top gun" references. You can feel the cold war tension... It's just amazing...I'm not sure if someone can do better, especially the end of this campaign... highly imeersive, and I played it in VR...such a wonderful experience... Unless you don't like the movie, or the F-14, if you buy it and don´t like it...then I will refund you myself... Congratulations Reflected

One thing I thoroughly loved is that you can make this campaign as immersive as you'd like. Don't like tanking? You can bypass it. Don't know how to fly a DME arc? Just fly out straight for a bit and call it a day. This campaign could be loved by both experts and beginners alike. It was my first full F-14 campaign and I loved every second of it.

This is one of my best campaign ive played to date. amazing story. beautiful skins. great characters with great voice acting. This is not an easy campaign but a really fun one. Id highly recommend this campaign to anyone who flys the tomcat.

I'm new to the F-14, and this campaign is perfect for that. No required aerial refueling or carrier landings. Most of the missions consist of patrols with a few targets to engage with some variety of objectives. This is a great campaign to start learning the Tomcat on, but you'll want to bind fast-forward for the gaps in the action where you are just cruising or the INS alignment on the carrier each mission.

Get it. If you’re a fan of the Tomcat and Supercarrier this campaign is a must have. The missions are incredibly immersive and really satisfying to play. Tons of custom voice work, knee boards, skins, and other features. Missions are short enough to stay fun but long enough to feel somewhat realistic. I’d only suggest that you get familiar with the Tomcat before tackling it. It is important to be on the correct radio channels, to navigate accurately, and otherwise follow procedures. (Flash your lights to launch at night!) Worth it at full price and a steal when on sale.

One of the best campaigns for the F-14. It has an 80s vibe with the music and some of the visuals, brings back the good old days of Fleet Defender, for those of you older simmers who were playing in the 90s :)). Difficulty is average, a good level of expertise in the Tomcat is required, as there will be no hand-holding, but the mission designs are never needlessly difficult. It's a great experience for all F14 pilots to enjoy, I strongly recommend it.

This Campaign is outstanding! It is my second DCS Campaign to play through and also the second in the F-14. The first one was Zone 5 which is also an absolut joy and also done by Reflected Simulations. This is completely different tough. Where Zone 5 is a no nonsense Top Gun school, this is your deployment. And it's got everything there should be, including an awesome soundtrack, cool period correct news reel snippets, comradery, banter, and a lot of fun! It is literally the 80is in a navy plane and it never gets boring. Also don’t worry you never really have to tank (AAR). Even though i learned to tank from the S-3 extra for this campaign, you never have to (But you just feel like a real badass if you do!). There are three missions where the script tells you to, but you always get the option to skip it and if you manage your fuel, you never really need to anyway. I full heartedly recommend it and I can’t wait for “Speed and Angels” to release.

Hands down the best Campaign for the Tomcat that I have played so far. Very Immersive, great story, excellent Missions with plenty of Air Combat, the Character Dialogue is Spot on and quite funny in parts. 10/10

I saw the reviews and thought it would be super cheesy. However, I am having SO much fun with this campaign. A really good mix of challenging and rewarding, and incredibly fun dialogue. Totally worth the price

Patrolling the black sea at night, Cant see anything outside of the cockpit. Just following my instruments and listening to the F-14's ambient cockpit noise. I'm immersed! My first campaign by reflected, I didn't know until I was done that I did them out of order. Regardless, I'll be picking up the other two! 10/10

This campaign is just awesome - it oozes 80's era pop culture and references yet manages a realistic and immersive single player experience. I cannot recommend this campaign enough. If you have the F-14 and Super Carrier, you need to play this. I was somewhat bored and underwhelmed after a while once I learned the basics of the Tomcat. Fear the Bones drops you into a fantastic story driven experience with the F-14 and should be the standard for all other single player DCS flights to compare to.

Incredible campaign for the F14 Tomcat! This was my first ever DCS campaign from steam and wow, everything in this campaign is amazing! The realism and atmosphere of this campaign is incredible, it felt like a great look into how it must have felt being a tomcat pilot in this era, at times it was heart pounding as you enter or wait to enter the action, on the edge of your seat. The voice acting was also incredible, helping further the immersion even more, and making me actually care for those I was flying each mission with. Each mission felt challenging and enjoyable, while not being impossible, and for any who are concerned about the difficulty, there are skip options for things like air to air refuelling if you're not confident. I can't recommend this campaign enough, trust me, you won't regret buying this.

A very nice and relatively easy campaign, yet immersive. If you're looking for a Top Gun experience, look no further.

purchased installed it showing in game module but like a ghost it's not any where in game !!!! wtf is wrong with you steam !!!! this content is not playable and dcs did not any responding to my ticket !!! don't buy it !

Sucks, purchased it twice. Indicates it is in my library but continues to direct me to buy it again. "DCS: F-14A Fear the Bones Campaign is already in your Steam library"

I purchased DLC Fear the bones, and I can't use the campaign at all. It doesn't even show that I purchased it (it's downloaded and "installed") so I'm not sure what to do about it.

yet another game that wont load or play. its in the dlc, clicked on that, verified the files. cant get it to the DCS game.

Interesting storyline and variable mission types. Voice acting makes good immersion. Many tomcat-relating reference just fun.
