I have been playing this game on and off since it first launched and for an adult genre game it is great, The graphics are really good and the developers have been quick to fix any bugs and are slowly adding new features into the game. The positives: Good graphics, can buy, train and sell slaves, a fun little game involving Dildo arrows :P, Is actively being worked on/has a roadmap of future features. The negatives: Unfortunately the game is very quest heavy and some options are locked behind quests, It would be nice to have a sandbox mode as i believe that people would still play story mode for achievements and the story, but as a negative i wouldn't say its a major issue, i just wish that the game had focused more attention to the bdsm part over story/quests. Improvements that would make the game better: * Would like to see more types of slaves to purchase, for example ones that are defiant and mouth off at you etc, It would give punishing them a real reason too. * An option at the temple to be able to change your players gender, currently if you wish to sometimes play as a male character and sometimes as a female character this would mean having to complete the long quests all over again. * This one might be stretching it abit but a bigger map or a bigger city, Maybe allow us to buy a horse and be able to travel around the map, you could travel around the huge city to get to say bath houses, the gladiator arena (when gladiators are added) maybe you could see other slave owners walking there slaves around the city too. * Better options for the pain bar such as upgrading it with points, Currently a brand new slave and a fully maxed out slave have the same pain thresholds, I feel that a slave that is maxed out would be more used to it and could manage a more longer whipping session than a brand new slave. Unfortunately the endurance updates do not seem to affect this, well unless you wish to wait for the pain bar to slowly go down again. It feels like just when your getting into enjoying a good whipping session it ends :( * I didn't want to quite put this into the negative section but i wish they would bring back the original dildo punishment that was in the game when it first launched, Currently their are 2 options on the cross for Playing (F**king) or punishment and both of them seem identical, so why not have the Playing one as it currently is but then make the punishment one the original version which actually did seem like a punishment. (From what i read in the forums a while back this was apparently removed because some people didn't like how brutal the screams where and how brutal / rough the dildo was shoved in but thats the whole point, it was a punishment!) * More Toys & Tools - More whip variants such as barbed tipped, bigger or special types of strapons and dildos, More punishment options such as breast crushing device, Dripping hot wax, The Pear of angish - basically alot more types BDSM & Torture options / styles. Sorry for the long review but i felt that i should try to give it as honest and detailed review as i could, I do recommend this game as unlike most other adult games its not just a visual novel lol, Its a proper game with enjoyable adult content.

I'm new to the NSFW category, but so far I've bought a dozen games and this is by far my favourite. I've put in 27 hours and I am still enjoying it. The story and side quests took me close to 25 hours to complete, which is about the length of a normal game. I found the story interesting and the side quests and slaves made for more good content. While the reviews are only mostly positive, that seems to be because of earlier builds of the game, newer reviews are 'very positive.' In the 27 hours I've played, I've only experience one bug. The missions and slaves are varied and so are the positions and punishments used. Plus there's plenty of NPCs you can have sex with when you finish the main story. I really like how you can customize your slaves in the temple, which gives you plenty of options to cater the look you like. I'm glad the developers are still working on the game, and are promising more content, this is by far the best purchase I've made on the Steam NSFW category.

Wasn't sure what to expect going in but I'm glad I gave it a chance. You have a good deal of freedom right out of the gate to start having fun. Reviews saying that there aren't enough male slaves are simply false. You can choose to exclude your less preferred gender right in the options screen. Fun factor is essential in any game and this game has it. From what I have seen, the devs are extremely open and communicative which is a rarity in this industry. Clearly a ton of love, care and hard work has gone into this humble little niche game. This game is clearly not for everyone, but if its your thing, I recommend giving it a try.

I decided to apply for a refund of this game. The voice acting is horrible, which I probably could have ignored if the rest was good. I don't know if it's a bug or not, but none of my slaves were getting any skill points regardless of how many times I f***ed them. As a result I never had the possibility of actually getting more scenes. The sex scenes I had felt a bit bland, and quickly became boring as you had so little to switch it up with, the stamina went down too quickly to really go through a lot of positions and the cum thing being tied to bashing space-bar just made no sence. As a heterosexual woman, I was also very let down by the fact that I apparently had a wife even though I selected female as my character's gender. It also looks like the only threesome options are MFF. While the wife thing isn't a major issue, coupling it with only having MFF in a threesome, then you just know that this game wasn't made for you because you're supposed to have a penis to enjoy it, not actually enjoy penises...

I spent my money, so you don't have to. Some decent aspects of this game, but for the most part, meh. Running all over in a fetch for me game becomes old fast. Whipping slaves gets monotonous. Quests are silly. Mini-games needlessly difficult due to finicky UI. Slave customization OK. But, in general the game is more of a chore than fun.

Graphics in the video do not match gameplay. This is a blocky mess, even on max settings it looks like someone puked on the screen then animated it. This developer has lied about the graphical quality of the game. Other than the visual disaster the game is BORING.

Not much to be said about this gem. It's still being actively developed, too. So as much as there is now, there is more coming. This is one of my top-five favorite adult games. And surprisingly not as buggy as you would expect from a small developer with large ambitions.

For a year old game it feels extremely old and stale. Slightly above a click through Visual Novel or any of the other X Games. The graphics are alright and expected from a small studio. It doesn't do anything directly wrong but it also doesn't do anything unique except being more BDSM based. Don't expect anything new or ground breaking. Need something with the expansive quests and action of The Last Sovereign, Carnal Instinct and this combined. I came into this with far to much expectations when I seen the large empty exploration side. The studio is extremely active so I will still keep an ear out to see how fleshed out it gets. I'll still recommend it its just not my fit currently.

The graphics are amazing. Movement is amazing. Story line is wonderful. Quest helper and guides make this game easier to play without the headaches.

I really like this game. It isn’t perfect by any means, and I’ll touch on some of its issues in this review, but it’s definitely worth playing and worth the cost if the basic scenario appeals to you. Some of the quests are a bit tricky, but the Walkthroughs solve all of them if you can’t figure them out. (I recommend getting an older version of the Walkthrough from the Wayback Machine as well as using the current one. It is more step-by-step, but the current one alone is quite good, too.) I didn’t start playing until early May of this year, by which time most of the bugs and other problems that led to really bad reviews had been fixed. As a heterosexual male with only fantasy experience with BDSM, I always play as a male with only female slaves but started once as a female just to see how the sex works. Maybe because I don’t prefer hard core porn, I have found the sex scenes get to be a bit boring after a while, but you can get through them quickly by holding down the spacebar as soon as they start. They are really well designed, though, and the graphics are much better than any of the other GPU-driven adult games I’ve played. One (minor) disappointment is that the female protagonist only has sex like a man, using a strapon. I think it would improve the game for some if she could be more like the wife’s description of her trip, buying male slaves to ♥♥♥♥ her rather than only ♥♥♥♥ing them. But it doesn’t matter to me. Once you acquire a slave, you can ♥♥♥♥ and punish them. ♥♥♥♥ing them gives them love points and increases their value. Punishing a slave gives them fear points and skill points that you can use to make more sex and punishment poses available for that slave. I’ve seen it said many times that you need to keep the love and fear points approximately in balance or a slave may not obey you or may run away. I’ve never seen either, but there is a setting to turn off slaves being able to run away, and I’ve always turned that off. That seems to mean that if you like a sex or punishment scene you can repeat it as many times as you like without worrying about keeping them in balance, which is nice. Punishing a slave by whipping can get tedious because you have to hit them MANY times to have any effect, but it is otherwise well designed and implemented, and if you don’t care about generating skill points you don’t need to whip them longer than you want to (unless you really do need to keep love and fear points in balance). Some of the other punishments are more fun and don’t take as long. There is also an archery test that at first seemed out of place in a game like this, but the more I play the more it seems to fit. You do need archery skills for part of the main story and one side quest that is a good idea to do early on, but most of the problem is that the instructions for archery aren’t as clear as they could be. There are better explanations in a few of the discussions on Steam (see in particular mine titled “Some Detailed Guides”), and once you understand how archery works, it really isn’t a problem. There’s also a way to cheat on the archery test (but not the times you really need archery) that is explained in my discussion thread. All of the times you need archery let you do it over until you succeed, but doing the archery test over costs the main character some money. Full Disclosure: Historically I have not really been a gamer. I enjoyed the original Sim City and have played Civilization off and on since the original release (including now), but very little gaming other than that until recently. A few months ago I had Micro Center build me, as I told the salesman, “a ridiculously powerful PC,” mostly to play with AI and video editing and because I could. But as soon as I got it, I realized that it is an excellent game machine and decided to check out some near-photo-realistic games. I’ve started Baldur’s Gate 3 because my wife and son recommended it and played a few hours of No Man’s Sky because of something someone said about it in one of the SoR discussions, but before that, even disregarding the sex and BDSM aspects of SoR, I hadn’t played a game of this type (wandering around looking for stuff and interacting with NPCs) since the original, text-based Adventure game that was developed for minicomputers in the 1970s. (I didn’t play it until the mid-1980s.) I’ve played a few more adult-only games, but only one for more than an hour. (So far, I haven’t played any games that are basically played online because my biggest reason for playing most games is to see what the graphics are like with my GPU.) Of the few games I have played, SoR is the one I keep coming back to. But by no means am I a typical gamer, so YMMV.

10 hours of story game play. I was expecting so much less. This game is actually really entertaining and well made! Can't complain about price after having played through the story. the open world after is very open and still plenty to do! all in all a great game!

Good start, devs seems to care for their games and have frequent updates. There isn't a whole lot of content but once they add some more quests and update some of the animations it will be a really good open world game. As long as they continue to add with updates each month I will add their next installment Lashes of the Sea.

[h1]Every time I launch this game, it runs worse.[/h1] My first week or so with this game was actually okay, but shortly after I purchased it- they removed DLSS. The game has run worse and worse, but attempting to play it today was my breaking point. The language selection screen stuttered and after lowering my resolution by 50%, the game could not keep an image. It is very concerning when the roadmap says there will be updates, but then I only see translations and minor fixes. This game needs optimization so badly. Buyer beware.

A lot of fun, make sure your drivers are up to date before installing, game is good so far and the storyline isn;t too bad at all. Lots of ways to make money in the game, you just have to have the patience to do it. Devs seem really helpful and keen to hear suggestions. I can't wait for the full version of the game to come out.

To be frank, I've played the game before in the beta state, so already knew most of the content. the map is the same as I remember, some quest as well, the stability did improve a great deal and many side quest was added since. still has jerking in the AI and plenty of repetition. I wouldn't of payed 32 dollar for it, so waited till it was on sale for 20, as a game for entertainment its ok, as for adult content well like before its limited but again for 20$ I really didn't expect much. on sale yes its worth it.

great game , i've enjoyed playing it , just a heads up i did spot a bug that keeps happening when you use the activity to put them in chains in your dungeon it sometimes freezes or locks up the game . also sometimes changes the way they are in the chains . other then that its a very enjoyable game , also looking forward to yall's new game coming out with pirates

Finished the story a while back, but the game has only got better. The dev is active and has recently posted a roadmap of content additions. The story and side quests are mostly ridiculous, the dev definitely has a weird sense of humor, but it works. Just remember, you're a Roman, and do as Romans do! This isn't a FPS, not a turn based strategy, not a pvp garbage cash grab. Solve most quests with just dialog and sex, and making your slaves do all the work. Pretty straight forward.
