Super underrated game! It has it's jank, but for the most part it's good jank that makes it insanely charming. It's just a joy hopping into endless mode and tearing through enemies as this pink-haired alt girl. The attacks are fun to pull off and getting high combos is really satisfying. I also find the powered up state REALLY fun, and I like how easily it is to get to that powered state (only a combo of 7+ is needed). The parry mechanic is also unique and cool, teleporting straight to the enemies is just fun - even if it leads to situations where you have to just spam parry if too many attacks are happening at once. The artstyles pretty simple but I really like the use of mixed media for the enemies. The character designs are also cool. What really fits the chaotic gameplay is the music, the breakcore soundtrack really makes kicking ass feel amazing. I wasn't really paying too much attention to the story, may look into more eventually tho, but it seems pretty good. It's nice when a game that's badass and fun also has a dark/deep story, it's a nice combo. Only thing I really dislike is some of the level designs, this game loves to overwhelm you with enemies in the story mode, and there's also some raw platforming that doesn't really fit the fighting-focused movement much. Though with the "overwhelming enemies" point, I actually do like how it kind of fits the story - like you're being beat down by a bunch of fuckers, and then eventually you're able to satisfyingly rip through them, it's like... a metaphor!!! Wowie!! Overall this game feels very unafraid to be itself, and I think that's REALLY kickass. This feels like something I would've made in 2021 if I wasn't an ass programmer back then. It's just super unique a fun :]
