This game used to be my most recommended MMORPG for friends that enjoy a solid story, crafting, and being able to solo a lot of content until June 2025 when Bethesda decided to stop selling the Gold Road expansion (old $13 sale price for the latest expansion) and upgrade (get the latest and all previous expansions for around $40), and instead starting forcing users to buy their new $80 premium edition. This means anyone who hasn't kept up with expansions or has just started playing the game they probably bought on sale for $5 now has to shell out more money than a single expansion. Also the new season pass is another way they are making users overpay for the game. A lot of people have always had mixed feelings about this game in the past because you stopped getting dungeons in expansions a long time ago and were forced to subscribe to play any of the DLCs for dungeons and expanded storylines. The new season pass doesn't include any DLC and neither does the premium edition so I guess they want people to not buy their game. Hopefully they see the error of their ways and return to the old pricing otherwise this game isn't worth buying or playing due to the lack of content most $5 Standard Edition sale users will get to experience.

Great World, Gated Content - Edited The Elder Scrolls Online is a genuinely fun MMORPG, especially if you're a fan of the Elder Scrolls universe. The world is massive and beautifully crafted, the quests are well-written, and getting to explore iconic regions from across Tamriel is a real treat. Combat feels solid, classes are flexible, and there's no shortage of content to dive into, from dungeons to housing to crafting. Like most MMOs, ESO runs on a hybrid model of paid expansions, microtransactions, and an optional subscription (ESO Plus). That in itself isn't unusual—Neverwinter, Guild Wars 2, and Final Fantasy XIV all have their own takes on this structure. But the way ESO implements it can feel more aggressive than most. Even after buying the base game, you’ll find many fundamental quality-of-life features locked behind ESO Plus. These include essentials like the Craft Bag (for unlimited material storage), double bank space, build swap slots via the Armory, and higher housing furnishing limits. While technically optional, these features significantly impact your day-to-day experience. For example, managing inventory without a craft bag becomes a constant and frustrating chore, especially if you engage in crafting or looting—which is pretty much the core gameplay loop. Some convenience features like personal bankers, merchants, and fences are only available through the Crown Store, and useful systems like build swapping are limited unless you pay for additional slots. Even transmute crystal caps (used for gear customization) are smaller without a subscription. These limitations go beyond cosmetics or boosts—they restrict how smoothly you can engage with core systems. Compare this to a game like Neverwinter, which is free-to-play and still offers a lot of core QoL systems without locking them behind a premium pass. Guild Wars 2, though it sells expansions, gives free players access to most systems without requiring a monthly fee to avoid tedium. Even Final Fantasy XIV, which has a sub fee, includes most core systems in the base experience without carving them out for premium players. I really enjoy ESO. The storytelling, worldbuilding, and sheer volume of content are all top-tier. But I still can’t in good conscience recommend it to new players when such basic functionality is paywalled behind either an ongoing subscription or expensive Crown Store purchases. If you’re willing to invest consistently beyond the initial cost, there’s an incredible amount to enjoy—but if you’re hoping for a full-featured experience out of the box, ESO may end up feeling more frustrating than fun.

I've been playing the game since last year, few months last year and a few now. I had ESO Plus, because it is really tiring and a gatekeeper to other stuff in the game if you don't have it. I was most focused in PvE content, solo content. To people who likes to stay in the story side in a RPG, it is a great game, you can solo content easily, even if you're not strong, and that was my case because since the beggining I had a tank char, so I couldn't do considerable damage. But to enjoy everything plus is necessary, of course. But is a OLD GAME, and the main problem of old online games to me is the players who "live for the game", who take it like the most important thing in theirs lives, and make a hell in your life if you're not in the level, the class, the abilities, they want to. It's a TERRIBLE game with a TOXIC community when it comes to online content. ESO, like other games that have online content with roles, have sooooo few players playing tank and healer. You can wait minutes to hour in a line to play a online content. And I chosed to be a tank because of that, to join my friends in some contents (dungeons). And being a tank or a healer IN A WAY that the toxic players like, it's so demanding, and frustrating, THEY DO NOT have patience if you're a new player. I decided to stop playing the game, because i tried my best, i waited to be in a mid-higher level, +500CP, and have a FULL BUILD, that took me months to farm, so I could be useful and don't receive a bad treatment. But with few trials (12 people content), the toxic players ended all my joy to play this game. I was new to trials, I did a mistake in one, because i did not know the mechanics, and I reicived messages calling me names, threating me, telling me to end my life, in the wort ways possible. A lot of players in this game are bad with new players, and treat them like trash just because they don't know something. WHAT DON'T MAKE SENSE, because if you're new, u will not know. And the worse to me, ibeing a game YOU PAY, because without pass it's frustrating to play this game, so it's a MMORPG you pay monthy, the ZeniMax don't take actions to solve the toxicity of the comunity. I'm telling my case here, but all my friends suffered the same in some point with online content. So, if you want to play this game, be aware people there are becoming more and more toxic.

Subclassing has completely ruined build diversity. Every high end raid is top to bottom the same exact combo of specs, and the first player in the top 500 that isn't using the busted skill lines is rank 410, in which they are in a group with 7 other people running the skill line and carrying them. (they are at the bottom of the meters). PvP is an unrecognizable mess - and since you have no idea what skills your enemy will have, it's just a pve dps race against different HP bags. Subclassing has ironically killed any build variety down to a few busted skill lines.

I hate to not recommend this game, I really do, but I just can't - ZeniMax is just too scummy. They faithfully follow every single terrible stereotype there is for a exploitative profit-obsessed company: Quantities of in-game currency for sale that don't divide evenly into anything on the store? Check. Loot boxes with random rewards and intentionally addictive gambling mechanics? Check. Quality-Of-Life features like extra inventory space and automatic item sorting locked behind paywalls? Check. In-game accessory crafting skill that you can't train without paying real money? Check. World regions that you can see on your map and walk right up to in game but cannot enter without paying? Check. Paid DLC content trickled out slowly over time in individual updates? Check. Season Passes that bundle the same? Check. The only furry race in the game locked behind a paywall? Check. (Note: This is only partially true. You can select a khajiit at character creation so you'll see them around, it's their HOMELAND you're locked out of. It's still another case of 'we know the Furries will pay us more for this' just like the Caitians in Star Trek Online.) Paid Cosmetics to try and make your character's appearance a bit more unique? Check. Vanity Mounts? Check. For God's sake, they even do little things like making the icon for the Cash Shop glimmer from time to time. Not constantly, so you get used to it but at intervals. Just enough to draw the eye. You know, in case you forgot it was there. Every single psychological hook, every underhanded manipulation, every single dirty trick they can possibly use, they do it without a moment's care given for the obsessive and addictive behaviors they're promoting and the harm those cause. I understand they're a business. They need to make money to pay the bills and keep the lights on. And individually, I wouldn't take issue with any of these things. You try to draw customers into your cash shop. You try to tempt them with bundles, sales, deals. That's fine! It's when you pay attention to the scale of it all, when you take in all of these things together that you see just how heavily they prioritize profit over player experience. Look, I love Tamriel and the lore-rich world of the Elder Scrolls. Bethesda created something truly amazing and I still play heavily-modded Skyrim to this very day! But ZeniMax and their business practices make me ill.

Huge world, lots to do. Fun. Friendly people. The only thing that irritates me is the devs keep messing with the classes. I spent 6 months getting all my characters into the best builds, then they nerf something or tweak something or add something (like sub-classes), which breaks all my builds...

Alright, folks. Let me level with you. I played for about 5 years on Xbox, and I've only made the switch to PC about 2 weeks ago. I've played other MMOs; I played WoW for a few years, RuneScape before that, and I've sampled some others in the time between then and now that I have simply put down. But not this one, no real intention to either. Does this game have it's flaws? Sure. Any game does, any developer. But if you're like me with a story-driven playstyle, this is the one for you. You can make anything, be anything. You can solo quest during so many awesome storylines and really decide the path you set your character on. Don't let tryhards fool you into thinking that meta builds and insane parses are the only way to really play the game. I gave up on that about halfway through my tenure so far, because I didnt want my time in Tamriel to feel like a job that I had to drag my feet to get to. What matters is that you enjoy it. There's any number of niches to settle into, and always a path to improvement. When it comes to group PvE content, don't let anyone step on you if your build isn't up to their standards. Just queue up for the next one. Find a good group, research a build that suits you and adjust it as you so desire. Like I said, there's a metric butt-load of options. And if PvP is your kinda party, same concept applies. Pick a faction, join a guild, find and fine-tune the gear that'll help you get the gold. This game has been my escape through uncounted hardships and even more good days. I have memories, funny stories, and good friendships behind this game. I could sit here and list the drawbacks, the bugs and the changes I'm still scrambling to catch up to, but honestly none of that matters here. I'm telling anyone reading this that it's worthwhile if you're looking for a world to fall into from time to time. Have fun, and all hail the Queen!

While I happen to enjoy playing the game, I can't recommend it in good faith. It has GROTESQUE monetization. Buy homes. Buy furniture. Buy inventory space. Buy, buy buy buy. And I mean with a credit card, not in game. Honestly, A game you purchase that has a subscription model in it has no business being as loaded with as much exploitative monetization as this game has. A lot of things can be earned with in game currencies and achievements. But you bet your butt it will take you forever to grind that out. If you aren't easily roped into spending on all that junk, I can safely encourage you try (it is fun). But do NOT touch this game if you lack impulse control. This game will hook you through the nose pretty bad.

I hope those responsible for balance and changes in update 47 are fired. They treat players who spent a lot of time leveling up scribing so carelessly. They only make the game worse and kill all interest in the game. Are you having fun, players? Here's a nerf!!!

Subclassing broke this game beyond anything i have ever seen in any mmo rpg. No need for healers because everyone is invincible. Even the shittiest of dps. Welcome to the everyone gets a trophy ESO. No skill required just your money.

Taking something away, which I already paid for in the form of the Greymoor expansion, to lock it behind a newly thought up content pass, is an unacceptable business practice. What I paid for, I should be able to play until the game shuts down. No chance of me returning to this game. What an awful company.

I have played for 4 years... It's the second week in a row that maintenance leads to not being able to login normally. Login in takes long, often during that time connection is lost. The maintenance, in general, takes way too long and is timed horribly if you live in Europe (in general I lose a day of playing) Any maintenance is followed by issues for (groups of) players. Support is virtually non-existent. Reports are barely read (it is never enough to write one report, there is always a whole lot of back and forth). Replies are standard and will always tell you the issue is most likely on your end - even if it isn't. (turn off all your addons being the all-time favourite). You pay for a month - but get 28 days - which means that for this game, there are 13 "months" to a year and you will pay accordingly. Events can be fun, but as some players always find a way to exploit an event, they are often nerfed, making it a lot less fun for non-exploiting players. In the long run, playing solo is made to be less rewarding - the developers make sure you are obliged to play with guild-mates or groups, thus obliterating the whole "play as you want" sales-pitch. I do not mind grouping up from time to time, I do mind when whole events are set up that way. Last but not least, it is clear this game is (about generating income) for the developers, not about players. The proof of that being: without ESO+ one is severely limited and certain items can only be bought with crowns - which can only be obtained by spending money.

At one time this used to be my favourite MMO,that i would recommend to anyone. How times have changed. This years 2025 content pass is honestly beyond pathetic and terrible. They give us it in 2 parts.More like 2 parts of a dead empty zone. The new zone has absolutely No life in it whatsoever and everything is just a Copy and Paste of textures they have been using for years. They need to stop the copy and pasting and come up with Brand new Textures etc. But NO They decide to turn a once good MMO into a total Crown store Cash-Grab . I once thought BDO was bad for that, but at least the devs listen to teh playerbase. eso devs do not listen to the playerbase instead they insult us by giving us things that we don't need or even ask for. Guilds are leaving by the masses-Trading guilds included. That's a sure sign of decline. It's not in maintenance mode by a mile, but if they continue down this path they are going it won't take long before it does. Sad too as this is a really good MMO,the devs are just starting to get very greedy and turning it into a cash grab. Do i recommend this game-Overwhemingly NOT.

I liked it and enjoyed it years ago and wanted to enjoy it again but...it has a subscription model now and way more microtransactions in a clear greedy manner. Like I'm sure it's optional to some degree but it feels like they made some changes to make you feel like its necessary, like for inventory. I remembered that my inventory got filled super quickly and had to constantly dump stuff with no reasonable way to add more, so adding extra inventory is one way to get someone to pay for it. Same with locking content behind the subscription after already paying for DLCs. Just... nah. Those microtransactions being there now compared to the smaller selection years ago just kills any enjoyment I had for this game so. If you have lots of free money to spend on base + DLC + sub + micros... sure, go ahead, have fun. But for someone who doesn't have such money, that just wants the base game, DLCs when wanted, plus a small optional selection in the coin shop? Not anymore, it seems. Best to cut your losses and play something else worthy of your wallet.

If you buy this game be prepared for mostly grinding and leveling until you reach veteran levels. Unless you're willing to drop hundreds on the DLC, or pay for a monthly subscription-- a lot of the content, and gear you will need as a veteran player will be locked away. This game is constantly changing, updating and also adding new gear so it's really hard to come back and play if you take breaks for extended amount of time. (gear changes, ability changes, and the meta play style changes). It can be really fun when you make friends, and I have enjoyed my time in ESO with the people I've met. I only recommend this game for the social aspect, in a long term game play sense it's a lot to keep up with.

You can't literally enjoy this game if you don't subscribe to ESO plus. ESO plus gives you unlimited inventory spaces, without it, your bag gets full every 30mins. ESO plus is not a requirement but the game WILL FORCE YOU to get it if you want to enjoy this game. ESO plus is $13/month. Enjoy. I also don't get the point of playing this game when the whole world of ESO is very easy and boring. This is an MMORPG, right? There is no sense of danger anywhere in the world map. Yeah endgame is difficult, but getting there is also very difficult because the early game is extremely boring and unfulfilling.

I played this game for bout yr and 1/2, doing solo mostly except for normal dung. / arenas and occasionally trials. If you are beginner and want to Veteran Dungeons be prepared to be belittled and trolled. and if you join a group and they are chatting in different language add them to ignore. I changed my setting to their language so i could communicate. really F,ed myself. Contacted support and was no help at all just went in circles with communication, so took it as a sign to just move on after two weeks. Now i see, they did me a favor. spent well over 2 grand. I have no problem with supporting artist but hurts that tech support gets any of that. b/c they sux BIG TIME. Moving forward I will put my cash towards VR.

I play almost all games solo and this is a great MMO to get into as a solo or even a beginner MMO player. The main storyline is pretty long. They also give recommendations on what skills to level making it a relatively fool-proof process. That being said, they still have plenty of end game content for veteran players so I don't see myself putting this game down anytime soon. Buying/ selling items and equipment is a pretty confusing process and you honestly need to get a free add-on to really understand how the market works. Definitely a downside for me but doesn't make the game unplayable. Another thing that annoys me is that the game has hundreds of crafting materials and you can only have so many items in your inventory or your bank at a time. ZeniMax made a solution for this by implementing a materials bag with unlimited slots to hold all your items. However, it's $15 / month... I found that I can just buy the ESO Plus membership once every few months to dump all my crafting materials in the materials bag and then unsubscribing to save my money. Not a deal breaker for me but a bit greedy from ZeniMax IMO. As of writing this I have ~100 hrs into the game and have only had 1 bad experience with another player. Honestly, the community is great and if you can find a guild you like it makes the game more enjoyable. Anyway, I hope you all get a chance to play this lovely game :)

You know, I still like ESO... But these changes that ZoS are planning on making and have already implemented recently need to be discussed. Everyone has their opinion on the subclassing, but I personally despise it. It's been nothing but the same classes and builds dominating the current meta, and good luck finding end-game groups if you aren't running said meta. There could have been other choices rather than giving every class the option of having an identity crisis, but here we are anyways. Now we go to the nerfs. Why are we still nerfing classes? The nerfs are targeting class lines that are the top performers for subclassing only, instead of touching on the actual class itself. The problem lies with most of those skills being fine the way they were. Skills that worked perfectly fine with each other before subclassing now get unfairly targeted instead of focusing on the main problem. We really need to stop this mentality that "If every skill is complete shit, then that balances our combat.". Instead of focusing on making every class feel awful and draw out combat unnecessarily, why not make each class unique and fun to play while making the enemies an actual challenge? Certain classes and skill lines should not vastly be outperforming all the rest. Why not change the subclassing to something more substantial... To have their styles and effects taken from your base class and change the way skills taken from other classes work. The way it is now and how ZoS is handling these changes is infuriating to say the least. This has been a complete downward spiral for a while now, and most feedback just falls on deaf ears. One step forward, three steps backwards, ZoS. Your consistent abuse to your community and your game are noted. Stop making the gameplay a slog and focus on improving the core problems of your MMO. Maybe if it changes down the line, I can update my review. I cannot recommend this currently, new content is getting worse and the developers will not listen.

I really tried to like this game, as someone who is a massive fan of TES and also MMORPGs in general, but I just can't. My biggest problem with the game, by far, is that it's boring, but not just regular boring, more like actually putting me to sleep type of boring. It is genuinely one of the most unengaging MMOs I've played. The combat is one of the worst combat types in history of gaming, exploration, questing, all of it feels ridiculously dull and uninteresting to me. I barely find myself invested in anything I do, probably because this game doesn't challenge you at all. I can play it with a blindfold on and w/o a sound and I'd still merc 20 mobs with nothing but basic attacks w/o blocking or dodging. There are only 5 classes, technically 7, but 2 are locked behind a subscription so I'm not counting them, and they do not matter. The classes have absolutely no identity since all of them basically do the same things but with different animations attached to them. They can all dps, tank and/or heal, and outside of min-maxing (in which there's no point of doing since the game is easy) there is no point in picking one over the other, which is a huge personal turn off when it comes to classes in mmos and a design philosophy I disagree with. The only thing I personally found enjoyable was the crafting, and that's pretty much locked behind a paywall. Considering how little inventory space you got, the crafting bags are pretty much mandatory, and let me remind you, dear reader, this game costs 20 euro or even quadruple that amount if you want all the expansions, and this is the price now, it was far more expensive years ago. Despite what I've said, I can understand why people enjoy the game, but I think it requires too much of you while giving you too little in return. If you are a huge lore nerd, and I mean a big one, and care about nothing else, then give it a try at maximum discount, I guess, but keep in mind that at some point you will probably have to pay for a subscription.

I've always been a fan of the Elder Scrolls Franchise (please Bethesda, bring us VI), I will say I went into the world of ESO with a bit of an expectation it would be similar to my days in World of Warcraft. So, in some ways I found the game to be so many things I wish other MMO's were, especially in the graphics. The combat system isn't quite what I like, but manageable. There is a lot to do, and a lot you can do with other players, but much of the "cool" content seems to be locked behind the Crown Store. Have to keep servers running and paid for somehow I guess. All that said, it is a fun experience, even if it's not like the single player Elder Scrolls games. 7/10

Good game but too much monetization BS in the game. I get the game needs a steady flow of income in order to maintain and add new content but there is a almost mandatory Subscription (ESO+), yearly Content pass/"season pass", cosmetics, LOTS of etc. We can do better guys... Can we at least get rid of the subscription and add the ESO+ benefits to the content pass since its gonna be a yearly thing? That change alone would be MASSIVE for player retention because it creates an incentive for players to be able to play more often without having to hesitate about wanting to get the sub or not because you want to make sure you're going to get your moneys worth in hours played per month (especially when you are a busy person). I'd rather pay for the yearly content pass that would have the ESO+ benefits integrated into it and with the $15 saved from the removal of ESO+, I'd rather spend on things in the store. ESO+ subscription is always going to be the #1 reason/barrier as to why a player stops playing and doesn't come back as often, if at all.

Good for MMO standards, but most of the content is locked behind DLC, and you will need to spend over $150 USD (not including the price of the base game) to permanently unlock them, or alternatively you can pay a monthly subscription to ESO+ to access all content but the latest release. Also the game requires an extra 95GB of space separate from the base download to play.

I'm only not recommending this because of the uncertain future the Microsoft Layoffs have done. Otherwise, my one *thousand* hours with this game have been more than fun because of the people I play with, and how much sandbox you can get assuming you purchase the Chapter Collection. This game has been running for over ten years, and if you can grapple with the purchase structure, you'll have a lot of fun either as a casual story enjoyer, or someone like me who enjoys grappling with the endgame and trying fun gameplay gimmicks through sets.

I played this game for pvp years ago and had a lot of fun. The strategy behind the builds, the combat, and the different forms of pvp scratched a pvp itch that not many, if any, other games could do. I saw the subclassing and decided to download the game and try out some builds, thinking a whole new world of buildcraft may come of this. But I jump into a BG and lose hope immediately. The state of BGs is way worse than I've ever seen it. Im happy to see more people playing it but I won't be logging back on until they fix the pvp modes.

Yeah, ESO is my game now. I have always loved MMOs. I have also loved Elder Scrolls. I somehow only became aware of the game a couple of years ago. Started playing it and haven't stopped. ESO+ is worth every bit. With the content you get (pretty much everything but the VERY latest release) and the craft bag... My main playing is done PvE. Not a big PvPer so there's no real reason for me to give an opinion on it. Love how easy it was to find a social guild. Love my fellow players, save the spammers and the scammers.

Hello everyone, I used to really like playing ESO. I have been playing ESO since 2017. Then, Last Friday, 7/11/25, it just stopped working. After a week of back and forth, ESO told me I needed to update my version of Windows. Keep in mind, over the 8 years, I have spent lots of money with Steam/ESO/Zenimax. Then, they FORCE an update on me that kills the game dead (like my toon on more than one occasion). Now, if I want to play the game again, after I have spent all that money ($$$$) on already, I have to update my PC; so they can graciously allow me to play their game again, I spent a bunch of money to,just to have it flushed down the toilet until I can get my computer updated, because some genius at ESO/STEAM/Zenimax decided that they would stay ahead of the curve. I am no longer a happy ESO/STEAM/Zenimax customer. If ESO/STEAM/Zenimax actually cared about it's customer base, then I don't think they should be throwing their customers under the buss. BTW ESO/STEAM/Zenimax, WOW, DDO, BL2, BL3, BL-Pre-Sequal, SWTOR,........ still plays just fine. Maybe I will spend my money on them instead of ESO..

It is a good game with a lot of variety, overtime they have started monetizing more and more content. It is not pay to win but it is pay to grind less. Expect to sink hundreds of hours into this game to experience endgame content. Both PVE and PVP are dominated by meta builds which take a long time to learn, develop, and master. A big appeal to ESO over other MMO's is its unique PVP experience. Cyrodiil is a massive battleground with hundreds of players from three factions, all fighting eachother for control of keeps. These keeps are attacked using siege weapons which is a really fun experience. The Imperial City is basically the Dark zone from The Division. It is a PVP/PVE area where you farm currency and loot, but players can kill you and take half the currency you have on you at time of death. Unfortunately, as stated earlier, the PVP zone is 90% Meta builds with thousands of "champion points" which make them incredibly strong against non-meta builds and people with less champion points. Champion points are extra levels after level 50, to get thousands of them you will need to spend at least a few hundred hours grinding. You honestly can't compete with people who have been playing for years unless you are unemployed and live in the game. Overall, a good experience for casual players. If you are wanting to get into PVP or endgame PVE, expect to suffer.

Why are these games so difficult to link to each other. 10 min DL then 30 trying to link to things. I miss the days you could just start a game you paid for

first 4 hours of my play time and I've already countered 4 game breaking bugs where I have to restart the game to get it back to work again. Classic Bethesda behaviour I guess

Storage and inventory management is horrible as you are forced to subscribe to get the material storage bag otherwise your inventory is full after about 4 hours of play. Pure money grab on the part of Bethesda not to mention the ridiculous prices of the store for housing, armor and weapon skins and mounts. The game itself has aged well but as they lose players they milk the remaining players to continue making money.

Random server log in issues make the game kinda unplayable as you don't really know when the game will start to kick you out and for how many hours.Writing this report today 20/7 i encountered the same issue. The past few days i encountered the same issue several times and to be more specific;on 10/7 the game was down for 9 hours (that was the time it took them to fix the issue),on 15/7 it was for 2 hours and on 17/7 for 6 hours. I really enjoyed playing Skyrim and all i wanted was to give ESO a try for the nostalgia, but sadly i have to warn you,NOT TO BUY this game as it looks like the devs/company does not respect it's playerbase offering such poor services.

I've been playing this game for... almost five years now. And it's actually great if you 1) have money to spend on a subscription; 2) have friends or eager to join a guild; 3) don't really care about the lore. If anything on the list isn't about you, you will probably get bored. Or mad. Or worse. First of all, if you are here to become the greatest hero of the world and conquer every dungeon and trial, you have to buy them all or the subscription. Even if you already have the game. Being a hero demands sacrifices from your wallet. If you are here just for the lore or the story (as was I), every chapter definitely will be an unforgettable experience. Mainquest of the base game is pretty interesting, Morrowind and Summerset stories are really great. But rest of the world is just a mess and I really mean it. You will experience the same plot from region to region...

IMO this game is like World Of Warcraft had a baby with all the elder scrolls games but the baby saw how bad its WOW daddy was and learned to do better from it. It's got the map of Skyrim, Oblivion and other places I've never seen or barely heard of while playing Skyrim just in the game for you to free roam in, and you can become a vampire or werewolf just like in Skyrim! It does a lot of things I wish World Of Warcraft did better, I don't have to pay a monthly subscription to access my characters and the game, I can trade and group and clan with other players without having a subscription unlike WOW.

Don't spend money on this game, it's genuinely a trap. That shiny mount that costs 100 dollars to have a chance at? You're never gonna get it. Genuinely one of the worst gatcha systems out there and they are shameless.

Lately, it has become tiring, not being able to play games, constantly waiting, freezing and not being able to log into the server.

Gameplay itself is fun but having it be console-tailored is holding it back. Just a few spells because controllers have limited buttons is lame. Also the shop should be to "ADD" stuff not to be almost the main thing that provides cosmetics. Like 50 bucks for a mount that's just a recolor or retexture is a crime. Too greedy. Otherwise decent.

This shi is so overwhelming and hard to understand how to minmax the shit out of your build... But you suppose to do it if interested in endgame party content. And they added scribing, sub classes to make it even worse. But i still love this game bruh.
