Game is fine but it wont launch with an AMD cpu and NVIDIA graphics card (AFAIK This is an Issue with brand new AM5 Chipset CPU's)

Massive improvement to the original. Graphics is better, the environment is more interactive. And everything seems quite colourful and real. The story is quite a bit more interesting as well and feels deeper in some ways. My only issues is again a bit too short though feels longer then the first.

A sophisticated iteration of DH1, this game expands the worldbuilding, the character arcs, and the gameplay options from the first title and its DLCs. DH2's main antagonist returns from the DH1 Witches of Brigmore storyline. The protagonist offers a choice between an older Corvo Attano or his now-regent-age daughter, Emily - both have different powers and favor different strengths. The game adds several options to DH1's combat systems, including a few new options for nonlethal combat (especially useful if the NPCs catch sight of the protagonist, so you can rough them up and survive without having to kill them outright). One word of warning: the game's difficulty level is different from DH1's. The average difficulty appears to be comparable, but DH2 intentionally boosted the challenge at the highest difficulty level in response to player interest. For your first runthrough of DH2, either choose a lower (average) difficulty level to feel the game out, or be patient with yourself because the hardest difficulty is indeed higher than DH1. One other very conscious design choice: The vision arcs of the NPCs is heavily geared towards lateral scanning - they do not fare too well with detecting threats above them. Well recommended, but be aware that the difficulty is intentionally different from the first game. Don't beat yourself up if you could do the DH1 hardest but struggle with DH2 hardest.

My favorite game of all time. The world building, atmosphere, lore, level design, level structure, progression, choice of upgrades, secret paths, replay ability, Characters, MUSIC. one of like 2 games I'd give a solid 10/10 It's not needed but you should absolutely play the first game before this one.

I will admit it took me a few times to really get into this game. I was a huge fan of the first and was hoping this one would be better, and eventually it was. The first two missions are somewhat par for the course and slow. The story was not gripping me near as much as the first few story beats felt rushed and unrefined. It wasn't until I got to the Clockwork Mansion that the genius design and writing really shined through. Past that point I was fully enthralled and it didn't stop until the end. I can attest that the game improves on everything from the first. The powers feel better, the level design is at it's best. There was much more variety in the settings and how the game world worked. I can say this game is a masterpiece. Arkane was a very special studio with a very unique vision that inspired so much especially in the steampunk genre. It deserved so much better than it was given by the greed of the corporate world that refuse to let our visionaries cook and are more concerned about a quarterly sales increase. When games like Dishonored are halted by the interests of the elite, the irony and motifs of the series are more stark than ever. Some day I hope we get to go back to Dunwall in a complete release, but the series can at least stay in the halls of time having been never sullied by the interests of the haves at the detriment of the have nots.

This is my favorite game of all time. Dishonored is a classic stealth game. I love stealth games where I am allowed to basically do whatever I want. The dialogue is pretty good and the world building is amazing. I like the power system that they brought back from the first game with the additional powers that Emily is able to wield. All of the achievements aren't the worst thing to get. But the different ways that you can finish a level makes the game a 10/10. I love Dishonored.

while the first game is a mastercraft of a game that would be impossible to make something just as good, this one still delivers as a perfectly good sequel the levels and tools might not be as tightly crafted as the original, theyre still just as fun and offer a good amount of replayability the story and character are just not as good as the original but its still interesting enough to get you through the game its a great game, absolutely worth it

A good sequel to the original not quite as good mind. Pros: Bigger levels, more powers, 2 characters to play as and lots of choices to complete your objective. Cons: few game bugs that required restart of level or reload to fix (random explosions or something breaking that wasn't connected to me drawing attention, enemies randomly die after getting knocked out or spawn into a wall), enemy perception not consistent: one minute they could be deaf and blind the next the can hear or see you a mile off (played on Normal). Finally pacing to some levels wasn't great earlier levels were good but some of the later were a drag at times. Overall i'd still recommend it 8/10 if you liked the first you'll enjoy this

Great game but mission 7 ( the time travel one ) made me uninstall and shelve this game for good. It didn't need time travelling and i just can't push myself through this absolutely horrible mission. World building and artwork is why i still give it a positive review.

Brill game.. all the world building and details of the places you go to are insane and the gameplays great. Has one of those never bad looking graphics with how they did the artsyle of the game so it looks incredible still.

I played this game in 2016 on my Xbox and not only did I have a faint memory of how the game actually played out, but I was too young at the time to take advantage of the "consequential system" if you will. Giving that you can choose various routes and outcomes, when at the time I was just murdering every person in the streets of Karnaca that I saw lmao. Fast forward to 2025 and I have a PC. Re-Played the game as Corvo as sort of a nod to the OG Dishonored and let me just say, this game is still to this day, INSANELY beautiful for a game originally released in 2016. Its also SO smooth, super fun, highly re-playable, and incredibly immersive in my opinion. I love Arkane studios and will be visiting Prey next. If anyone is new to the Dishonored series and comes across this review. I highly recommend playing BOTH in order. You will not be disappointed. I hope to see Corvo again one day.

A worthy sequel to an iconic game. Fun game play, a mostly good story, and an art style that (I think) has aged incredibly well. This is one I find myself going back to for the feeling of the world, and the fun of being an absolute force of nature in it.

Building on what has been great in the first game, Dishonored 2 improves on almost every part of the game and trades in a little bit of quality in the story (in my opinion anyways). The graphics upgrade is also very nice and even though this game is almost a decade old, it still looks stunning! The figthing mechanics and movement feel very satisfying and it even invites to a second playthrough.

Game doesn’t launch if you have an AMD GeForce combo and they don’t look like fixing it ever at this point. Even tried it on a desktop and it didn’t even launch, not sure if I’ll ever get to run it on PC at this point Shame, would’ve loved to play it. EDIT: As always, a gigachad in the community saves the day by creating a dll file to fix the issue. Here's the github link: https://github.com/SCell555/amd-ags-stub/releases I'm still keeping a negative review because of the developers not addressing this issue themselves. This should be fixed day 1 and not have to search online for a magic fix. The game itself is great and one of the best at what it does. Highly recommend the game, but hopefully the complaints reach the devs. Once I hear it was fixed, I'll gladly change this into a recommended.

I have a AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT. I've had zero issues until this game. The game play is fine, but it's very disturbing to have fans roar while my GPU takes 300+ watts while in the game menu or after I do an Alt-Tab. If I play the game and don't alt-tab, the GPU power is a reasonable 100 watts for my settings. Unless you have a specific reason to buy this game, I would skip it. I played Dishonored and liked it. I think I will like Dishonored 2, but I would rather not deal with power issues and play something else more "stable". My office heated up trying to find a configuration to reduce the roar of the fans. PG&E in CA charges 50 to 62 cents per kWh. I try to conserve. I don't have a toast slot on my GPU, so the heat is wasted. Perhaps games should have a green rating from 1 (optimized) to 5 (drill, baby drill). Update: After several OS and Adrenalin setting changes to reduce power or enable ECO mode, I must have found something to stop the odd max power draw. I don't notice a play difference other than avoiding the roar of fans.

Different from the first game, still pretty fun. New enemies, new abilities, new ways to abuse that to your advantage. Playing as Emily was fun, seeing her new powers which while similar to Corvo's differ in very drastic ways that make gameplay completely different between the two. (I still prefered playing with Corvo's ability set however). Plenty of cool ideas from specific maps (time travel my beloved), which helped keep it fresh from the previous. It definitely performs a fair bit worse from the original, so be aware that since Dishonored could run on anything Dishonored II can run on only pretty modern hardware.

Utter trash compared to the first game, in probably every way. I played less than an hour because I value my time enough to not engage with garbage, but I enjoy complaining so here ya go, my first impressions: Voice acting: Very mediocre all around. Dialogue: While it's not Borderlands 3 level of bad, it is quite bad. Your chosen protagonist narrates aloud the whole game and says the stupidest things. And the way all the spoken audio is played, it's like it wasn't programmed right or they literally didn't think it sounded totally awful like this. But every section of it is stitched together haphazardly, with nothing near a natural pause in speech. And characters in conversation will cut over each other in a way that's obviously not for good effect. Lore texts: Extremely amateurish, like it was written by a preteen and then fixed up by an LLM. Nothing else made an impression on me and that's because all this game appears to be is the sequel to a good game. Impossible for me to become interested in any potentially cool game systems when the entire personality aspect of it, which the players are exposed to first, is just screaming in their faces: I'M WORTHLESS! I DON'T RESPECT YOUR INTELLIGENCE! UNINSTALL ME!
