Fallout 3

War changed when then updated it - it wont load now this version is UN-LAUNCHABLE in WINDOWS 10 PRO DONT BUY IT it wont RUN - maybe GOTY edition runs... but I cant get it load at all.

great game and with the addons point Lookout and the Pitt it still a good game to play

game crashes on start up no matter how many fixes I try, DO NOT BUY this game it is a waste of cash.

Honestly speaking this game is really compelling. I've put a lot of hours into Fallout 3 since I really enjoy the overall aesthetics and tone of the game, with the green atmosphere being really interesting in my opinion. I love the cartoon feel of Fallout 3 and I believe that much more can be done with the Fallout franchise.

The first time i got this game was on X-box and it took me only two days to beat the entire game. Fallout 3 has been, and will always be, my favorite fallout game. And its far better than New Vegas. Just saying. No particular reason.

Been playing this game since high school and I'll always go back to it! The distinct charm of early-mid 2000s graphics and gameplay is fantastic and still as addicting. I hooked up an old Sony CRT for the display and it looks killer. The storyline and sidequests are a blast, the dialogue is cheeky and hilarious, everything about this game is a classic.

Fallout 3 story, mechanics, theme, and characters are all really good. It was the first Fallout game I played, and I liked it so much that I ended up buying New Vegas.

Was born. Punched a kid at my birthday party. Dad disappeared. So I left the vault to find him. Discovered the world had ended and everyone was either trying to rob me or eat me. 10/10 nothing teaches survival like getting shot at by raiders five minutes into freedom

One of the best FO games ever made. This was the first Fall Out game I ever played on PS3. I've owned it on about 3 platforms now. Now I need to mine the PC version for achievements.

The game is still very fun, my only gripe is that Fallout 3 and New Vegas have difficulty running due to the old software. I have had to lower my Refresh Rate on my monitor to have Fallout 3 run in normal speed rather than 2x what it should be. There is also a mod pack of some sort that helps the Fallout games run better or something. I don't know the problems in old Fallout games just makes me want a Remake of the old games even more.

literally unplayable. mods still didn't help. holding out hope that they make a remaster or finally fix it some day, but as of right now, do not buy.

---SPOILERS AHEAD--- So i finished it just now, after 16 h of gameplay. Loved it, but i want to share my experience. I did not know where "dad" was once i started, i assumed some where in Rivet City. Whilst exploring i happend upon the vault in which he is stuck. I looked in the pods and saw that one kinda looked like "dad". I did the experiment with out knowing that i safed him, and i got me on the path of the last quest line. Any one else who happend to stumble upon this like i did? I have to say im happy that its not locked for players untill some time or what ever, i like that you can stumble upon it. However it was noticible that the dialoge that followed was meant for a player who did all the stuff before entering the pods.

Liked the side quests but the main story dosent give you any choices ,i dont want to side with BOS but i have to, i know you can fuck them up in the end but its locked by an pay wall and you cant kill some people so it brakes the rpg element to me .Fallout new vegas does it WAY better

Didn't like it. I wanted to, and sorta did at the start. Enclave radio was the best part of my playthrough. I stopped at the scribe (((Rothchild))) mission. The main quest is laughably bad and all the other side quests aren't particularly rewarding, especially with how dry and terribly they answer like "you saved us or sumshit I guess, take 50 caps" (usually shitty rewards like that). Even nuking megaton doesn't feel that remarkable or cool. The karma system is also pretty lame. Only 5 guns are particularly fun, the others are peashooters. All in all I hate to say it, but the modpack for it (New Vegas) was wayy better and felt less pedantic and more so FUN.

Wouldn't be broken if it wasn't a Bethesda game, given that it's still 10/10. Absolute gem :3

Bethesda has done irreparable damage to the RPG genre passing off games like Oblivion and Fallout 3 as RPGs, when they were cash ins and appeals to a broader audience. Fallout 3 is a shallow RPG experience with horrendous combat, it ruined the fallout universe by turning every game into some tepid looter shooter, with the only vestiges of the originals being confined to the stat menus that have little actual bearing on gameplay other than having enough points in a skill to do the action. What's the point in making the jump to 3D when you still limit the player character's actions behind skills as if it were an isometric game which used the skills less as a check but more as an analogue for role-playing? No, you can't knock down a flimsy blown out door, no, you can't smash a computer to open an abandoned old world vault. This neutered creativity is one of many reasons for why we get quick and easy skyrim clones instead of actual, fun, games that challenge the player intellectually. Although the blunder began with Bethesda the player base eats these games up. Now underfunded indie companies have to move heaven and earth to make a game with the same passion as the original fallout developers, while Bethesda sits on its scrooge mcduck gold pile pumping out slop for its investors.

you buy this for Tales of Two Wastelands. terrible modern PC support.
