Fallout 3

Just got the game, got to the main screen hit play and crashed, did the fix where I renamed the files and it loaded but now crashes when I make a new game send help plz

i love this game but this shit has many bugs which i hate it. bethesda ass company couldn't fix fallout 3 bugs just like valve did to their games and bethesda just being lazy ass btw

i have played fnv first before fo3. But this game is better in term of environment and atmosphere, it feels like world just recover from post nuclear war, as you leave the vault to open-world, you will barely see people on street or abandoned town, mutated animals also rare to show up, and when there plenty of them, you will know that area is infested so better prepare ammo, example subway always full of radroach and ghoul, as if people holed up there before the bomb. It feel sense of progression and exploration that bethesda known for. In fnv town are full of people and mutated insect, while it gameplay-wise better but it makes you feel less immersive of post nuclear world. In fnv the story make you explore the world. Fo3 make you explore the world to discover stories, which is cool, enter random building to discover there people inside make you feel at ease, "wow there actually someone live here". classic bethesda way of immerse the player. but the illusion soon broke because house interior indentical and barely different, but its still impressive considering the year this game cameout. Fnv still goated on story through, because fo3 emphatize on exploration the story just there to give exposition rather than world building.

Game for 18+ is censored and only allows german as a language. Don't buy it crack it off another site, this crap is not worth the time or money.

albeit pretty dated at this point, at the time, it had one of the most interesting worlds to explore, and still does. if there's one thing Bethesda has mostly done right, it's making fun worlds to explore. shooting and rpg elements are kind of shart by today's standards, and also, were kind of shart for their time, and the writing is kind of bad, but it's still worth playing if you like this kind of thing

As others have already said this game has some bad issues with crashing/not loading on modern PC hardware. On my desktop I had trouble getting the game to stay open for longer than 10 minutes at a time. BUT if you own a Steam Deck you can still play! I ended up connecting my Deck to a dock with a mouse and keyboard ad have easily put 20+ hours in without issue. Use Proton version 6.3-8 or Proton Experimental and game runs like butter. 60FPS, high settings, 1080p (external monitor) ad have only had maybe one crash. Great game, but they need to do work on the PC version for sure.

Got the game, if you can get passed booting it up, you will find out its one of the best games/franchises ever made.

My first adventure into the fallout series, very well thought out game play and very expansive game.

I'm mad at myself for not playing this game when I was younger. There is an endless amount of stuff to do and it still looks pretty good for being a 17 year old game.

Good fun, I really didn't end up exploring as much as I though I would because I followed the main story most of the time. While it's nothing revolutionary, it's still very enjoyable. The game has its issues due to how old it is but I played through with no mods or other fixes/patches applied. Worst issues I had were the music stuttering and the game window disappearing occasionally whenever I tabbed out.

The game play is fun, the side quests are entertaining, and the main quest is moving. What else could you ask for?

Was born. Punched a kid at my birthday party. Dad disappeared. So I left the vault to find him. Discovered the world had ended and everyone was either trying to rob me or eat me. 10/10 nothing teaches survival like getting shot at by raiders five minutes into freedom

Liked the side quests but the main story dosent give you any choices ,i dont want to side with BOS but i have to, i know you can fuck them up in the end but its locked by an pay wall and you cant kill some people so it brakes the rpg element to me .Fallout new vegas does it WAY better

This game has a good story, but there are far too many bugs, and the fact I have to install a patch to get the game working on my computer makes me angry, if your thinking about buying this, wait for a remaster.

The game simply crashes when creating a new game, it's unplayble even with the mods that are supposed to fix that.

initially- you may not like it. give it a time and it will be one of your favourite. That's the way it is.

Fallout 3 was my introduction to the Fallout Franchise, and while it's not the best Fallout game (Fallout 2 has my heart), It is worth the play. Got nothing better to do? Fallout 3 will never let you down. There's always something interesting going on, so take a crack at it, you might like it!

A Bethesda classic, from the good times. VATS headshots are highly addictive :)
