I mostly want to echo the review that said this game was incredibly 'mid'. It's not BAD per se. But it's just not good. There's no challenge, the incredible amount of popups (every time a monster dies I need a popup I have to confirm, really?). Even at 50% off, i can't recommend this one to anyone over the age of 10.

I like the art work in the game. I wished more games would do it. What I don't like is the introduction and the "useless" combat system. I have only played 30 minutes and the intro is pure liquid backside! Nothing grinds my gears more than a game treating me like I am a stupid child and demanding I run all over town looking for crap. I it is infuriating! Tell me a story, don't fetch quest me to death or road block my progress "just because". Sick of games not being games anymore.

While its mechanics are simple, Terra Memoria drew me in with its charming world and fun characters. Note that this is a casual rpg and if you approach it as such, you are gonna have a good time.

Terra Memoria is a truly exceptional JRPG that left me with absolutely no complaints. I loved the beautiful art style, the combat, and the exploration. You can really tell how much love the developers put into this one.

Terra Memoria is an extremely cute and enjoyable RPG with some very innovative and unusual combat mechanics. In addition to the main characters, you also gain a set of support characters that adjust the main characters attack skills. The pairing between the main and support characters changes with every fight, so successive fights are all a little different. This makes grinding a lot more fun than a typical RPG. The game also uses a set of stat buffing pins as the primary equipment type, which gives a lot more flexibility than you typically see in an RPG, many of which are craftable, and all of the resources you need to make them can be either foraged for or purchased in shops. On top of main gameplay, the graphics are an excellent combination of animated sprites and backgrounds with adaptive focus and shading across the 3D maps, which makes the game areas feel more real and interactive. While the viewpoint is a fixed pseudo-isometric viewpoint, the game areas are well enough designed so that items are almost never hidden by the fixed perspective. The addition of a cooking mini-game, the results of which permanently boost the HP of your characters, and the ability to design and build your own town make this a great little gem of a game. Despite the gameplay taking 40 hours or less to complete, the unique features of the game, the art style, the characters and the story all make this game well worth the purchase price.

A decent but short turn-based JRPG-style game with a comfy art style.
Likes:
+ Nice vibrant visual style with diverse character designs. + Not much grinding required for story. + Cooking and crafting is important for progression. + Some variation in battles due to group compositions.
Dislikes:
- Combat is not challenging and lacks depth. - All battle skills do not differ much from each other. - Plot conclusion and final boss is pretty underwhelming. - Fast forward in battles not being a toggle. - Town building not playing a bigger role.
