Nothing today remotely matches this ambient-rich classic. in every way, it is so easy to set up the cars, choose event and get racing. Less than a minute to load, compared with up to 7 times as long for games with far too many non-racing gimmicks taking up mountains of disc space. Even multiplayer live it takes 30 seconds to restart a botched start - including correcting Options. The current fad for banishing AI live is just one example of how far non-pro semi-sim racing has been under-appreciated by (it seems) by EA and Forza especially. I am disabled and housebound, and my family and friends are widely scattered - which would be disastrous for my mental health. And my physical well-being. Because sitting in my cockpit is the only way I can exercise! Try being stuck in a bed for a month, with your mind and muscles and hopes wasting swiftly away. And nothing you can do: not reading or talking or listening (or sleeping properly) to keep your mind from going soft... That is NOT an option.

From GT3s to rallycross, it’s a sim racing buffet. 🌧️ Best-in-Class Weather System The LiveTrack 3.0 system is still unmatched. Tracks evolve in real time—dry lines, puddles, grip variation. Racing in changing conditions is thrilling. 🧠 Deep Customization Tuning setups, race rules, pit strategy, tire compounds—if you're a sim nerd, there's plenty under the hood. 🎮 Good VR and Triple Screen Support Still a solid option for immersive racing setups. Cons: 🎯 Force Feedback is... Inconsistent Some cars feel alive, others feel like driving on ice. Needs community FFB files or major tweaking to dial in. 🤖 AI Can Be Hit or Miss AI sometimes races like pros, sometimes like bowling pins. 🌐 Multiplayer Is a Ghost Town Since the servers were shut down (as of late 2022), you're left with offline or private races. No ranked lobbies. Final Verdict: If you love variety and immersion, Project CARS 2 is still worth picking up—especially for single-player racing, time trials, or sim nostalgia. Just be prepared to tweak settings and use mods to unlock its full potential. ✅ Recommended—especially on sale or for single-player sim fans. can't play with friends because they can't buy it; won't be buying 3 because you never know if they're just going to take that game away too.

This game is still very good. Now teaching my son racing with my old G27. Such a shame PC3 massacred the franchise.
