I am personally enjoying the game and will continue to do so for some time to come but I recognise that I am one of the very small minority of players that will. I would rate this game a 10/10 for atmosphere and a 2 or 3 on everything else. It is full of bloat; pointless minigames and platforming where the only stakes seem to be how much the player hates themselves. The characters are largely forgettable and as for the story; it is like the designers watched the Rick and Morty heist episode and decided to implement everything Rick made fun of. If you love Star Wars but hate yourself a little bit and want to wander around in an atmospheric homage to the original series, this is the game you have been waiting for. Everyone else; look anywhere else.

So after playing for 15h, the game and story is fine. Typical Ubisoft stuff with way too many collectibles and things to do. But you need an online connection to ubisoft connect to play the game. So when their service doesn't work, you can't play this singleplayer game. Just anti consumer practices as expected from ubisoft.

I finished the first DLC, and the Main Story last night. i had a lot of fun with this title. Originally I was skeptical of the sidekick, but it's actually a really fun mechanic and I enjoy the stealth in this game quite a bit. Runs well enough on Linux (5800x, 64gb ram, 3080ti). The story takes place at an interesting time in the original trilogy, so there's a few familiar faces other than Jabba around if you keep your eyes open.

This game is essentially Assassin's Creed: Hans Solo. If that sounds appealing, you'll likely enjoy this game. If you haven't played the recent Assassin's Creed games up to Valhalla or the Star Wars Jedi series, recommend you buy and play them first as they're still better in totality. This game is fun enough and worth it at the current sale (about 50% off base price of $70). If another sale comes along at 50% or up worth a buy from this humble AC (and to a lesser extent Star Wars) fan while you wait for the next AC and/or Ubisoft to implode without a new creative formula.

Gotta be honest, this game has been on and off my wishlist ever since it came to steam, but every time I was planning to buy it, I saw another less than favourable review and changed my mind. First of all yes the 70 dollars not including the DLCs is a steep price, but I can't say it's any worse here than any other AAA game. That said I picked it up at 50% off sale and I am very happy with my purchase. Went into this without many expectations and I was pleasantly surprised. Jumped in right after finishing KCDII and this was a very welcomed change of pace. The game isn't complicated. If someone expects detailed world and intricate mechanics like in KCDII or RDR2 of course they'll be disappointed, but what the game sets out to do it does well. First I'd like to start with the good. The worlds are beautiful. It's always nice to see more of the Star Wars universe. Of course in bigger settlements and cities it feels like the NPC's only job is to stand around and look busy, but when you venture out into the open world it feels much more alive. I especially like the amount of non-human characters the game has. Also minigames! They are so much fun, especially Sabacc (to the point I bought the card game irl). The only minigame I didn't like so much was the slicing, as it does get repetitive fast. As for the graphics I can't really judge since I never really cared about that, but I think the game looks good enough. Not a masterpiece, but I wouldn't say it looks bad either. For the story I think it's a nice change from all the frontline combat we've seen in most other SW games. Both the main and side missions were fun and interesting, although could be viewed by some as repetitive. Wasn't an issue for me as I enjoyed the core gameplay loop, so the reason for doing it didn't matter that much. Don't wanna say too much about the story as not to spoiler it, so I'll leave it at that. The maps themselves are fun to explore since you have something to find around every corner. I myself am an absolute loot goblin so this is all I need to have a lot of fun. The exploration is also helped by how much fun is riding the speeder. Seriously the driving is so good, it feels heavy and fast, yet you have complete control over it. I've seen a lot of people complaining about the combat. From what I've heard it was worse on launch, but as it is now I think it's a lot of fun. The blasters feel punchy and there's a lot of them to pick up. The enemies aren't the smartest, but feels more like a deliberate choice so the game can have a lot of them thrown at you. They do however hit hard, so it's not like the game's a complete shooting range. Of course a big part is stealth, the same about the enemies applies here. Not very smart, but there's a lot of them so you still have to be careful or you'll be gunned down fast. Some people were apparently also dissatisfied with the takedown animations, but I think they are perfectly lore accurate to the Star Wars universe (if in the last episode of Andor a guy can headbutt a stormtrooper to knock him out and people love the show, I don't see why it should be an issue here). The only flaw of the combat is that with the base blaster configuration (which you'll probably use for most of the game) the damage to the body is awful, so you practically need to hit headshots every time. With KB+M that's easy enough, but could be an issue on a controller. Now we get to the not so good territory. The flying and combat in space. Don't get me wrong the combat is perfectly fine, but same as most SW games I've played the flying just lacks the punch and speed you see in the movies. The game also suffers the same issues as Starfield, since you can fast travel even between planets you have no reason to ever use your ship unless it's specifically for a mission, as even the loot in space is just to further upgrade your ships or collectibles. But at least unlike Starfield the loading screens are made more interesting with character dialogues and fully skippable once the loading is done. When it comes to the cartel system it's a mixed bag. The idea is great, having to carefully balance my reputation with each cartel to get rewards and make sure they don't hunt me for sport, but in practice you practically need to have good reputation with all of them at all times to fully enjoy the game. For that reason a lot of the time I didn't even want to do some cartel missions, knowing it usually means doing mission for one cartel makes me lose reputation with another. The cartels also didn't really feel distinct in any way, as most of the time they were just stats on a screen, all giving you the same missions and overall just behaving the same. In conclusion I think the game is a solid 8/10. Not groundbreaking in any way, but perfectly fine and fun game that will challenge you just enough to keep you entertained. Sadly with how poorly it sold I don't think we'll get much more content in the future, but it also means the game is getting massive discount, so I'd recommend waiting for that before buying.

A really fun open world Star Wars game, where there are finally no space wizards with glo sticks, running around force choking each other for fun and rough sex. I did only play it when it came to Steam, thus also with the huge gameplay changing patch that removed a lot of the forced stealth missions. The factions worked really well, and while I never enjoy card games, with fully upgraded Sabacc cheats, and some decent tokens, you can defeat all the elite players without any issue (disable the dreadful QT events) Space flight/fight was perfectly serviceable for this type of game, and it seemed like most (all?) bugs were removed for flying around on your air scooter on the planets. All in all a fun and good Ubisoft game, if you like those types of games.

Desperately tried to like this game having enjoyed most Ubi titles and expecting this to be essentially AC Odyssey in an SW setting...and I think it sort of does try to be that. It tries, but it really doesn't succeed. The maps feel barren but the cities claustrophobic, the stealth mechanics get very repetitive and become a chore quickly. Yes you can sort of fight your way out if you screw up, but with some areas having infinite spawns it rapidly puts you in a position where reloading is the sane option. For me the biggest let down was the bland combat and inability to actually use anything besides your blaster. I stupidly assumed that I would actually be able to have other weapons based on seeing Kay use things other than the blaster - but nope. You can pick other weapons up but they are all one time use - once they run out of ammo you're done. This really kills so much of the potential variety as you're just stuck using your one blaster which has a few upgrades sure but still limits you to that specific play style. I don't really know who this game is for, the stealth mechanics are pretty poor and combat is specifically gimped to force you to rely on the janky stealth mechanic. This game takes a good working formula from previous Ubi titles and throws it in the dumpster to produce a totally mediocre game that does not do anything well. There really isn't a single thing that I can think of where this game stands out.

I really wanted to love this game. I’m a huge Star Wars fan, and the trailers made it look like everything I’ve been waiting for. But after just a few hours, I couldn’t keep pretending it was worth it. Let’s start with the bugs — because wow, there are a lot. I’ve got a decent PC, and no, I wasn’t running this on ultra settings. I even lowered everything down to medium, and I was still falling through the map on my speeder, getting stuck in invisible geometry, or watching entire areas fail to load in properly. At one point, I loaded into a base, and the walls finally rendered around me after I spawned inside — completely trapped with no way out. I had to reload a save just to escape the building the game stuck me in. This isn’t minor glitch territory — this is straight-up beta build levels of broken. Embarrassing, honestly. The loading times? Painfully slow. Several minutes just to get into the game or load a save. And even when you do get in, you’re greeted by janky movement, clunky traversal, and combat that feels like an afterthought. The blaster is fine, but any other weapon you pick up runs out of ammo in seconds and gets dropped the moment a cutscene plays. There’s no real strategy, no excitement — just repetitive shootouts and enemies that go down way too easily. It gets old fast. Yeah, the planets look cool. I’ll give them that. The Star Wars vibe is strong, and there’s some really great atmosphere in the cities. But the open world itself is as shallow as it gets. Typical Ubisoft-style filler content — go here, loot this, shoot that, repeat. The whole “exploration” aspect is just wandering around spamming your companion’s scan ability and hoping it pings something interesting. Story-wise, it’s mediocre at best. Tries to go for a Han Solo rogue vibe, but the writing is painfully predictable and the dialogue is cringey more often than not. The faction system sounded promising, but in practice, it doesn’t matter at all. You can completely tank your reputation with a syndicate and still waltz into their compound like nothing happened. It’s just a reward treadmill with no real consequences or impact. And can we talk about movement? It’s terrible. Kay controls like a stiff action figure, jumping feels weirdly floaty and heavy at the same time, and god forbid you try to hop over anything higher than a curb. The grapple hook is janky, and the fall damage is ridiculous. Like, why am I dying from falling off a rock? Oh, and of course — Ubisoft Connect. Because apparently we can’t just launch a game from Steam anymore without jumping through hoops. If you're a diehard Star Wars fan, maybe pick it up on a steep discount just to walk around the cool environments. But if you're here for a solid open world experience or compelling gameplay... this ain’t it. Honestly, this whole thing feels like it needed another six months of polish. Right now, it’s just a buggy, bloated mess hiding behind a pretty Star Wars wrapper. *EDIT* — My System Specs (for comparison): OS: Windows 11 Pro (Version 10.0.26100) CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D RAM: 64 GB GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 (24 GB GDDR6X) Storage: 5.5TB SSD + 1.8TB SSD Driver: Game Ready Driver 572.83 (Mar 18, 2025) Monitor 1: LG Ultragear+ 2560x1440 @ 240Hz (G-SYNC Compatible) Monitor 2: LG Ultragear+ 3440x1440 @ 240Hz So yeah… it's not like my hardware was struggling. This is just a poorly optimized and buggy mess of a game.

This is a fun Star Wars adventure for fans of the Star Wars universe and open world games. The game is very immersive and has a good story. The side content is "meh," and there's plenty of fetch questing. There's some light RPG elements here, including abilities Kay unlocks as you complete certain challenges after meeting key characters. You can upgrade your ship (which feels impactful in space combat) and your speeder (which feels almost inconsequential). Combat is fun, but certainly not revolutionary. Space battles are likewise fun but not revolutionary. If you like Star Wars and you like open world games, this is worth it at 50% off or more. I probably wouldn't pay full price for this game. If you hate Ubisoft games or aren't a fan of Star Wars, maybe skip it. Some ratings out of 10: Main Story - 8.5/10 (Overall very good, but nothing revolutionary. A fun adventure for sure that feels at home in the SWU) Side Quests 5/10 (Lots of fetch questing, not much depth). Graphics - 8.5/10 (Great environments, but character models don't have very expressive faces). Combat - 7.5/10 (Not revolutionary, fairly repetitive, but still fun). Ship Combat - 8/10 (Same as blaster combat, but I like space fights so it gets an extra half point here). Traversal - 7.5/10 (You climb, you ride your speeder - that's about it). ----- Overall - 8/10

Update: 26 March 2025 It's been about a week since I've played the game and twice now in two weeks I've gone to open the game and it's uninstalled by itself. I reinstalled, verified, played until it crashed and walked away from it for a week and it's uninstalled itself from my PC again. It's a sign. Avoid this game and anything from Ubisoft. Okay, first off I'm not recommending this game based solely on it's playabilty issues. Ubisoft's malwar...app is hot garbage, routinely running about 20 processes in the background and will not close unless you kill it with task manager... When the game crashes, which it does often you will have to completely restart your machine or it will fail to open every.single.time. It crashes so bad that it breaks Steam too. I tried to nerf the video and graphics settings to see if that would help. Nope. It makes my GPU run so hot that you could probably make popcorn on the top of the case. There are lots of bugs within the game that will force you to restart it, which will also involve restarting your machine...

I tried, and I failed to like this game. Mediocre dialogues, boring main story line, side quests are written in typical fetch'n'forget style. Every main quest has a double cross, or predictable twist, or automatic unavoidable alarm at the end. Open world with painfully linear missions, heists are "my way or high way" type of missions. Who heard of good thief-centric game with linear main heists? You cannot play as a shadow. You cannot play as a brutish run'n'gun character. This game doesn't have a clear identity.

The game is fine but right now I can't play a game that's 100% singleplayer thanks to Ubisoft Connect Servers beeing down. Offline Mode doesn't work either. Ubisoft launcher / connect is just pure gaming cancer. It has zero additional value for the customer.

It's a great blend of the Ubisoft adventure game formula applied on to the Star Wars universe. Early game combat is terrifying, late game you can be a badass, and the journey to get there is fun and filled with memorable places and characters. Limited number of planets, and not all of them are more than one city, but the maps are still huge, distinct and packed with details. Achieving upgrades for the character, their tools, weapon and vehicles all feel significant, and bonuses that are built into clothing and items mean that you can come up with focused loadouts like playing a Grenadier. Picked it up on a 50% off sale and it was very worth it at that price.

It a beautiful game i cant deny that but major problem keep me from playing it. I managed to play this game until i updated my computer. Considering what i paid for this game i shouldn't have to downgrade back. Now i cant even play it because it crashes within 10min of loading up. Also this is the only game that im having problem with. Poor Optimization? It "Ubisoft" why are we surprised? Anyway i cant refund the game so i hope a fix is in the works.

Bought it half off, still feel like I was ripped off. Story is fine, the world/environment graphics is 10/10 but lifeless, the gameplay is 3/10. Stale shooting, lackluster stealth, pathetic upgrade system, half-assed animations, puzzles you literally cannot mess up, and the 'flying' holds your hand so you hard you barely have to even play the game and there's no option to turn it off. Definitely wont be buying another Ubislop game, at least not above 10 dollars. This sealed the deal for me. I'll try to beat the story cause I enjoy star wars, but I'll be definitely be forcing myself through the gameplay. Edit: Forced myself through the game. To fans of the whole open world-clear bases-collect cosmetics gameplay, I think this game will offer you a very shallow and unrewarding experience, I would give it a hard pass to you. To fans of Star Wars, the story was "ok" but nothing original and the forced emotional pay offs were not at all earned. I would say a hard pass for Star Wars fans. All in all, this game is just not good. No idea who their market was? Someone who never played an open world game? Someone who never saw a heist movie? It explores some of the ideas in Star Wars only to immediately abandon the thought and replace it with some heist movie trope. Just low effort all around.

Finished the main story in under 20 hours. None of the side quests seemed interesting enough to invest much time anyway. A very mediocre, a very Ubisofty game. For the story, characters, world building, combat, and general gameplay, Jedi Survivor is much better, hands down. I'm glad I waited for 50% off sale. I would recommend it only with a heavy discount and wouldn't recommend it at all unless you are a SW nerd who just can't skip it.

Bought on sale, which would probably be best for this title. Very trite and uninspired overall. - Plays like a watered down AC title. - Gunplay is non existent - Parkour/platforming is only possible on limited surfaces - Stealth is almost impossible and appears to have been an afterthought - Ship combat is simplistic, semi on-rails design. - Reputation system is very basic with easily avoided consequences with enough time and missions perfect Reputation with all three factions is possible. Overall I'm very disappointed. Ubisoft could have easily made a Star Wars flavored Assassin's Creed. Instead we have whatever this is.

Game looks ok but: - Voice acting is average, close to mediocre. - UI is ok but the hitmark is terrible. - Speeder dogfighting is boring af. Death animations for enemies can go forever in a loop until they crash with you or a rock. - Graphics are good, not as good as Avatar: Frontiers of pandora. - The game clearly is not designed for you to shoot your way out of every place you are, all gameplay mechanics went for a mediocre stealth action experience. + Optimization is good (but my GPU is good as well so I'm not sure if I'm good for measuring this) In lesser words, it saddens me to see how good assets and animations are wasted in such a mediocre experience. There are a lot of good devs behind this, but the lead writers should be fired ASAP. Same as Avatar: Frontiers of pandora, the story feels like written by activists.

I bought the Star Wars Outlaws - Ultimate Edition. It only came with one of the four DLCs. When you add the current price of the game and the DLC it came with it was more expensive than buying them separate. Keep in mind that I bought the package from Steam labeled to come with everything. Every time i open Ubisoft connect it asks me to log in and after a few seconds of loading it says An error occurred while signing in to Ubisoft Connect. Restart the client and try again - error dolphin-028 Steam shows me to have played the game that that is so far as log as I have been trying to fix the issues I have been facing. For reference I have no issues with EA games that require the EA Launcher, and I have no issue with the fact of needing steam and Ubsoft. "An error occurred while signing in to Ubisoft Connect. Restart the client and try again. (Error dolphin-028)" Good luck if you are planning to get this game or any on sale.

I love Star Wars, but this game is... interesting to say the least. The open world aspect is pretty much your standard Ubisoft fare- stuff to find, bases to tackle, settlements to explore, etc. I was pretty disappointed to find out that there's only 3 *open* world maps, with 5 total planets to go to. With this game costing 70 dollars, I expected a lot more story, a lot more open, and a lot more world(s). The story is pretty short, and disappointing. The only time I felt that Star Wars WOW factor was the ending space battle, and it actually taking my choices in the game under consideration to affect the story. It goes extremely fast once you get access to other planets and if you focus the main missions. I did side story stuff along my playthrough as well as getting all the specialists and at the end I clocked at about 14 hours total. Seems a little too low for me for the cost of the game :/ The game is also atrocious to run even at this point in the game's lifecycle. You can't tab out of the game at all or your graphics will go low poly until you restart. It eats way too much VRAM for what's shown and loaded on High Quality. Just like with Jedi: Survivor, this game was atrocious to run on release and seems to be the Star Wars standard at this point. Because of Jedi: Survivor, I did not pre order this game and I am grateful that I didn't. I actually really like the UI in this game. It's minimal, unobtrusive and opens up your screen to a lot of the SW beauty of this game (if it isn't low quality). The protagonist Kay Vess is small, scrappy and tactical. You don't have your traditional Ubisoft Superhero in this game- on Normal you take damage you'd expect to take being hit by a laser blast or a futuristic grenade, the stealth is Not Bad, but when this game came out you were often reset if caught- which thankfully was removed so you can approach stealth your way. The sandbox is pretty unremarkable. You're limited to your pistol and three attachments as a weapon and can pick up various types of SW blasters as temporary weapons. I agree that Kay being the rough and tumble smuggler/street rat should obviously not be efficient with the heavier types of weaponry in the SW universe- however the lack of kit customization due to this decision makes each task take one of two repetitive roads: Go guns blazing, managing your health and playing cover shooter, or sneak around and patiently take out each enemy silently by waiting for them to stop on their predetermined patrol route. Even after the small amount of time I played, this gameplay loop gets boring really quickly. An open world puzzle amounts to "Tell Nix to hold open a grate, shoot capacitor with Ion shot, get reward". Surely for Star Wars of all IPs, even without the use of the Force, this is easily fixable... but time will tell. The combat also follows this design, tiering enemies to have you "change tactics" but its simply a button press. For all enemies, shooting at them does the most damage, but for droids? Just change to ion shot, and shoot them with that. Death Troopers? Switch to your pulse shot mode and just shoot them with that. There's opportunities around every corner but it just falls short and fails to keep you engaged apart from "Hold trigger". I don't recommend this game in it's current state, or any of the DLC or editions. I love current SW, but the unoptimized money grabbing tactics that the IP has been using for games as of late is disappointing. It's fun to walk around Tatooine and go to all the places from A New Hope, but that's all I feel is good about this game. I would ONLY recommend this game on a sale (25.00 or less) or by getting U+ for a month.

It is literally just Star Wars Far Cry which is EXACTLY what ive wanted from a star wars game for a long time. Very very minor bugs ARE present but the game is spectacular and the dialogue is in depth, engaging, easy to follow. Combat systems are incredibly fun and my only real complaint with the game are the minigames for slicing and dataspikes. Im not fond of those puzzle types, but the difficulty being adjustable for them is very helpful

Really nicely presented action-adventure. Takes a while to figure out how to use stealth successfully (and why you should) so there's a bit of depth if you want to try and be the best possible scoundrel. There's a decent amount of open-world exploring available that gives you progression in your equipment when you need a break from the missions that progress the story.

I realize this game was buggy and controversial at launch, but any Star Wars fan owes themselves to give this a fair shake. Be aware though: If you dislike open world games, then this title may not change your mind. I bought it during a 50% off sale, and it's been an amazing value. The devs nailed the feel of Star Wars in a way many games have never been able to. The world feels lived in and the sheer amount of stuff on the screen at any given time is almost absurd. There was a real attention to detail considered here, and it shows.

This is an open world game that doesn't play like one. Let me explain. A true open world game rewards exploration and experimentation, and affords the player choice in how to approach a situation. By contrast, missions and locations in Star Wars Outlaws almost always have exactly one solution, one path and one set of problems which, if you do not have the skills or the right tool, simply cannot be bypassed. Every mission is on rails; there's only one way forward and one solution on how to get past each corridor, each room and through each door. The central theme of the game is the reputation system that makes you choose between three opposing factions. On paper, having a favorable reputation with a faction gives you access to their territory and traders, but the reality is that while opportunities to improve reputation are rare, the same reputation can be ruined with a single accidental trespassing or picking up the wrong thing by mistake. Add to this that almost everything you need is located within a "restricted area" still off-limits to you, and usually with only one path leading to it, and put the cherry of not having any way to manually save the game on top, and there's very little left of the "open world" premise. I've found myself playing the game in very short sessions, simply because I wasn't having any fun. Everything felt like a pointless chore of trying to sneak around and explore, only to find that the path was blocked by some tool I didn't have, enemies that I couldn't find a way past or a 30 degree incline that the wholly unlikeable main character mysteriously couldn't walk on. Oh, and the rope swinging mechanic that's littered everywhere simply doesn't work for me. In some cases my entire gaming session has been about trying to get across the same pointless abyss over and over for almost two hours. The only thing this game really has going for it is the look and feel of the city scapes. Those are ace. Pretty much everything else is like something you'd expect from an experimental game made as a university class assignment. If you enjoy having to look up solutions online and you dream of playing a several minutes long quicktime minigame just to eat a hot meal, then go right ahead.

The reviews on Steam really miss the mark. Overall, this game is good and the best/only open world Star Wars experience. However, the negatives I have are very different from other Steam reviews. The developers did a great job making your decisions affect the gameplay. You have to choose which syndicates you like and want to improve rep with, generally at the expense of another syndicate. This affects the gear you can buy in the early game. By late game, it looks like you can get max rep with all the syndicates by completing carefully selected jobs that do not anger a rival syndicate. My big negatives would be that I cannot buy/sell/use different guns, ships, or speeder bikes. For example, I cannot steal a Scout Trooper's speeder bike, even though they are standing 10 feet away on guard duty. I am hugely disappointed that I cannot fulfill my childhood Episode 6 fantasy. But for the most part, this game scratches a unique itch for me that no other Star Wars game comes close to scratching.

Figured I'd try it as the game is 50% off during one of Steam's sales. Figured all the major bugs and things had been patched/fixed. 5 minutes in and I could see what people were complaining about. The animations are shoddy. Like PS2 and original Xbox shoddy. Your character moves and jumps in such a bad way that it's ridiculous how Ubisoft claimed this was going to be a AAAA game. The AI is terrible. The story is completely bland and unappealing. Some of the cut scenes looked like they were generated in another game engine all together. The performance was terrible on a 3090 with a 11700k, yet I can run BO6 and other more demanding games on higher settings at 120fps. There's no options to turn off ray tracing either to try and see if I could increase my frame rate. The melee combat in this game is a complete joke and this game feels like it doesn't know who its audience was supposed to be. Why couldn't we create our own character instead of playing some no name smuggler we don't care about? Made it to the next planet and called it quits before I wasted anymore time and was outside of the refund window. If you're thinking of playing a Star Wars game that is quality crafted, this ain't it. Go play Fallen Order or Survivor. Heck, go play the newer Battlefront games and you'll have a better experience. Such a disappointment man. Went in with a positive mindset and ready to accept some of the flaws, but nothing good came out of it to balance them out. They just wanted to get a product out the door. There's no way they didn't know what they were doing here. There's too much experience and money within the company to not know. Wouldn't play this game if I got it for free.

Say whatever you want to say about the game, I like it because it feels well made and set in a universe that I love and get to explore if I was Han Solo as a woman. There are times where the quests might feel run out or repetitive, but I always want to come back to it because at the end of the day its a great game if you want to just hang out in the Star Wars world a little bit. I can see that a lot of hard work went into the game, so I appreciate it for what it is and am glad to have something to look forward to at the end of the day.

After 49 hours slogging through the game to finish it, i would say as of march 2025, it's a decent game, but still lacks the polish to make it fun. There are frustrating mechanics like the arrest system and caught system that somehow still spots you when you are a mile away and if you have yet to find/get the right upgrades, the arrest system is incredibly brutal with no way to opt to fight before being arrested. The stealth mechanics are still much to be desired. Unless the skills are fully upgraded or if you somehow go down the correct path, actually know that such an ability exist, taking out an enemy in stealth can be frustrating. Only after most of the characters in the skill tree system is unlocked for you to start making progression towards the skills do the game actually open up, but to get there, you have to wade through a lot of frustration. Crashes and bugs do still happen, and how most of the mechanics are not clear. It's a surprise for a company that have nailed parkour and stealth with the assassins creed series, they didn't bring over any of that expertise into the game. I'm glad I managed to get the game on discount because no way I would pay full price for this game, and I would recommend anyone who is interested in this game to wait for a massive discount because it is not worth the full price even after more than 6 months of patching.

I don't understand how this is so unpopular. The game works just as well as any open world game I've played. There's good variety in the combat. The locations are beautiful and varied. If you just wanna experience a more normal (which is to say, non-jedi) version of the star wars universe, and go explore some locations and people within that universe then this is absolutely the best game to do so. I often wish the dialogue would take itself more seriously though. Going up to an imperial station unprompted and being like "I.. uh.. have uh... your 'Cargo'" and them being like 'Come right in' feels ridiculous if we're to believe that the empire is this scary, competent presence in the galaxy. But any complaints I have in that regard is easily outweighed by how much I enjoy this depiction of a Han Solo-esque life.

There are some visual and game play related issues but the game has been interesting to play enough for me to continue playing. Would recommend getting on sale though.

I don't understand the hate some people give SW Outlaws. I really enjoyed my 50+ hours. Decent story, great graphics, fun combat. One compliant is the lip syncing is weak

Overall, slow is the best word to describe this game. It's not bad, it's just... meh. The graphics are... meh. as is the pacing and wonky controls. I could do w/o the critter and his controls. BIG CON: You're better off with your fists than with your blaster. Bear handing a vicious hook into a stormtrooper's helmet = KO stormtrooper??????? I suggest @ 75% off.

Very solid star wars game. It follows some of the Ubi formula, but not as much map spam. Characters are charming and there is a very strong, if not one of the best all around Star Wars vibes in this one. They really captured the spirit - if you are an OT type of person or liked the Solo movie, you'll enjoy this.

It's a solid game and quite fun, but it is hurt by a gaming culture that rightfully expects more from a AAA title. That said, if you are a Star Wars fan or an Ubisoft simp, pick it up on sale.

The Game has its fun parts and i am mostly enjoying to play the game. So why would i not recommend it? Because its an Ubisoft game with all the problems all Ubisoft games share: 1. It is mostly generated for controller gameplay. Mouse and keyboard settings are fucking weird and dont feel like anyone has ever tested the game on PC with mouse and keyboard. 2. It has the same Ubisoft connect problems like every other Ubisoft game i played before. Thought after 5 years not purchasing a ubisoft game, they maybe did something different, but its the same as it has always been: Mostly i have to start the game 5 to 10 times until it really starts... just fuckin frustrating. 3. As you progress, you definitly can feel the lack of love / passion to create a game that makes fun until the end of the story. Never again Ubisoft. :(

I've played countless Star Wars games throughout my life and the ones that stand out to me as favorites, are ones where you are not a Jedi. - X-Wing - TIE Fighter - Dark Forces - Shadows of the Empire This game fits this suit, perfectly. I miss my lightsaber and force powers, but I am extremely happy that I don't feel overpowered when I encounter trouble. The world(s) are extremely detailed and fun to experience. Some Open World, yes, but much is "open world in a corridor" when it comes to missions. On top of that, there is a bit of the ol' Metroid feel, where you encounter the door you can't open (yet), but can once you obtain a certain item/power-up. I would recommend this game for anyone with a decent video card and a love for the universe of Star Wars. As a kid, one of my favorite scenes was the Mos Eisley Cantina, and... well... Mos Eisley feels and looks quite real now. Good luck out there.

I understand this game had a rough launch. But after recently playing it, I thought it was great. First off, this is one of the most beautiful looking games I have played. I am spoiled playing on a 4090, so playing on ultra with 120 fps has been a great experience. The game was buttery smooth and graphically amazing. I had only 2 ctd's while trying to quick travel to other systems. Other than that, no game play issues. Honestly, the only complaint I have for the game is the character facial animations with the audio. It's pretty bad, but they have captured the Star Wars environment/atmosphere so well you can quickly dismiss that issue. The story line was very immersive and kept me wondering what's next. After 80 hours, I am nearly 100% completion and feel I got my money's worth. Ill actually miss coming home from work to play this game.

Star Wars Outlaws offers something genuinely different for the franchise by casting you as a small-time criminal rather than yet another lightsaber-wielding hero or armored bounty hunter. This focus on the galactic underworld - so often glossed over in Star Wars media - makes for a refreshing change of pace that helps the universe feel more alive and grounded. What really stands out is how the game builds its systems. The faction mechanics, clearly inspired by Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous and more which adds meaningful depth to your choices and make the world feel more reactive. Exploring every corner is rewarding, with enough hidden details to satisfy completionists. Visually, the environments are absolutely stunning, though frequent performance issues can pull you out of the experience. Combat shines when you're blasting your way through enemies, but the stealth gameplay falls flat thanks to some painfully dumb AI. Even on the highest difficulty setting, the challenge never quite reaches the level it should, which is disappointing for players looking for a real test of skill. Unfortunately, this is still very much a Ubisoft game, for better and worse. The facial animations and general polish feel dated compared to what they achieved years ago in AC: Unity. While the voice cast delivers strong performances that elevate the material, the writing itself is painfully average - the kind of forgettable storytelling that's become Ubisoft's unfortunate trademark. The main story is decent but short, with only minimal connections to familiar Star Wars characters. You'll find some genuinely interesting side content if you dig deep enough, but the overall narrative lacks the depth and impact the setting deserves. It's frustrating to see Ubisoft play things so safe when they clearly had the resources to create something more ambitious and dynamic.
At the end of the day, Star Wars Outlaws is a solid but unspectacular 7.5/10 experience. It's absolutely worth playing if you're a fan of the universe, but you'll be much happier waiting for a sale than paying full price.
Star Wars Outlaws has an amazing immersive environment that takes place in the Outer Rim. Finally something off the beaten path where you aren't limited to where you can travel and explore. Love interactions with characters and development of conversation as you progress through the story. Follows a familiar game that you find with Ubisoft games, making it comfortable to get into the game play. There are lots of little interactions that also contribute to your game progression, like Sabacc tables, racing bets, and eateries to enjoy with your pet, Nix. With all the gang delivery runs, card games, and skills, I think I could be stuck here for a while...
