It pains me to say this, but I cannot recommend this game, not when so much was promised in the Demo that is missing in the main game. I have patiently waited two years in the hope that the developers might get around to finishing the game but they are clearly not interested in doing so. As of right now, the game is missing many features from its demon, a custom level designer, or even a simple inbuilt addon engine to let players improve upon this frankly lacking game. I had high hopes, and it has let me down.

Pretty creative and satisfying puzzles. The bonus objectives are especially fun to uncover. Honestly I wish there was more

tl;dr: this game is good, but it many missed opportunities (like extending the demon mode to even more levels, making more achievements and other) that not leading me to recommend it. p.s. the soundtrack really slaps tho

Costs almost as much as Omori, but has negative 25 times the playability. Puzzles are recycled pointlessly, there's an achievement called "Worth it" for playing past the refundable period, and it just feels lacking. Some players will gain 100% completion in a little over 3 hours, and most players will breeze through the normal levels in around an hour and thirty minutes. It certainly has its moments, and you can tell there's passion put into the art and animations, but I can't wholeheartedly recommend it.

Neat little mechanic. Awesome to see consequences of previous actions within the narrative. Carries the game, really. The variations on the stories are great, delightful to discover. For the stamps and some of the devil levels, however, I had to use a guide. Even then, I did not find them terribly unreasonable, so this title gets a positive rec. Start spinning some of the simplest, yet most outlandish stories ever put to pixels!

This is such a satisfying puzzle game. Some chapters are incredibly challenging but that makes it all the more satisfying when you finally put it all together. The clever animations and unexpected little twists abound, I would regularly think I was hopelessly stuck until I stumbled on a new detail. I could have played 1000 chapters of this game

I'm honestly torn on this game. Like it's a reasonably good, if fairly easy, puzzle game which I'd be very happy to pay $5 for. At $10 I'd be a bit more hesitant, but I'd still probably be overall positive, maybe say to get it on sale. It is not $5. It is not $10. It is $15, for a game that took me three hours... of which maybe an hour and a half was actual gameplay. Ten dollars per hour is kind of a lot to pay for a puzzle game, especially when the puzzles really aren't *that* good. On sale it's borderline, but full price? Absolutely not. Also the fact that there is no way to move between levels quickly when hunting for stamps is insanely frustrating. Genuinely that's why I say I probably only spent an hour and a half actually playing the damn game. Even if you know what the solution to a stamp puzzle is, and where to find it, flipping to the level you want can be incredibly slow. If you know what level you're looking for, but not what number it is? Yeah, at least half an hour of my playtime was literally just flipping pages. (The rest of it was when I got bored of page flipping and left the game running as I went to the shops. It is something of a bad sign in a game this short if the player gets bored and decides to do chores instead.) I sort of feel bad for making such a big thing of the stamps, because they are sort of 'post game content', and if I was evaluating just the levels I'd be a lot more positive. On the other hand, like... the game is incredibly short even including the stamps. Removing them makes it so short that $15 becomes kind of a joke.

Don't get me wrong. The game is extremely unique and fun. However, I don't believe the content doesn't lives up to it's price. If there was more DLCs/content added to the game, I think the game would be 100% better.

its a great game and stuff my only problem is that once you do the (Kinda) small amount of levels and collect all the stamps there is nothing to do as once you finish that you've already completed 3 out of the 4 achievments and the last one is a simple as changing the settings a bit then entering any level. i wish there was more content but that is it (I only spent 40 hours total cus i left it running by accident).

This puzzle game allows you to make different scenarios to help you achieve the ultimate goal. The many levels make it so you can never truly feel as if there is nothing to do. Though the game could use a hint feature as I found myself stuck in some places. 8/10.

Great game. Simple mechanics that make for a good puzzle and lots of charming little "I can't believe they thought of that" moments. I played this all in one sitting, including the post-game content. My favorite part is
the devil mechanic
! It's such an interesting character and is a good way to flip the game around after the player gets comfortable. Highly recommend.

Cute puzzle game that gives a surprising amount of freedom to mess around with the scenes/characters. A lot of fun interactions you can discover.

not worth the money, even on sale, unless it goes down to like 3 dollars. theres even an achievement for playing more than 2 hours of it which says a lot. many puzzles feel like bloat that are way too obvious and are there to teach you an interaction you could have just. found out in another puzzle. which would have made you feel smart and not like the game hand held you there by pretty much only giving you the interaction. this game just feels overall too limited with not enough interactions. puzzles just feel too small; i gave some of the last puzzles a try before refunding and they were still too easy and too quick and really put into scope how little content this game has.

Great little puzzle game to get when it is on sale. It is a fun mechanic and it is fun to see how your version of the story/solution comes to life. The only criticism I have is that the achievement; Worth It - Play for more than two hours did not work for me.... This achievement took longer for me than completing the game. After some googling, patience, some more googling, reading forums and even more patience the achievement popt after 4.3 hours playing this game... I hope for the people who want to 100% this game it got fixed otherwise I wish you luck and all the patience <3

Absurd and fun, this is a fantastic game! It's honestly almost educational in how it frames storytelling and probably more fun than other educational resources out there, haha. But even if you're well out of school, it's a blast to play and see what unfolds.

For £12 this is shit, its incredibly short and not a replayable game. If i knew how short the game would be i would not have bought it. I would have refunded it if i hadn't forgot about it immediately after finishing it. The most i would pay for a game like this is £7. Just watch a lets play.

This is bit small for the price, it is cute small game. My big complaint is that achievement is bug (2 hour) since 2023. The developer has not come up with a reasonable solution for this bug.

I write my reviews when I 100% a game and that's the guideline I follow. Pretty quick if your good at puzzles, I myself only got stuck on 1 or 2 levels. Not too bad, but may be a tricky one for those not involved with strategy/ puzzles.

Really great game, simple mechanic yet deep design. Really nice artwork. I wish there is a history tracker so that I can remember what was my story even after I edited it. Also for the achievements, each stamp could be different steam achievement instead of completing all for one steam achievement. Completing stories with "additional requirements" is the best feature in this game, instead of devil levels, I would like to play more individual levels with more side requests.

It's a rather simple game. Animations are cute and often funny. The game rewards you for experimentation beyond the objective scenario with interesting outcomes. Main game can be completed rather quickly, but there is an optional stamp collection that challenges you a bit more, which I liked.

As people have already said the game is not bad by any means, it is charming, the concept is cool and the artwork is really nice, however there are 2 really big problems that really outweigh the positives. 1) Most of the Puzzles are quite simple and don't take a lot of time to resolve, moreover they seldom let you play around with how to achieve the objectives, thus making the solutions too often a bit too "cliché" 2) The game is REALLY short, it doesn't have a lot of "chapters" and everyone of those don't have a lot of missions, which added to the cliché feeling really makes it short and somewhat forgettable, I've not finished the game yet but with 2.2 hours I have only 5 stories left to complete so i recon to finish it before the 3 hours mark. For €13 that's sadly not enough content, maybe on a big discount but for that same price you can find just a lot of other games that will keep your company for more time. I really hope the developers are going to use this experience to build a more expansive sequel since the foundations for a good game are already here!
Adorable, original, and very short: worth a spot in your rainy day games.
Storyteller is a charming little narrative puzzler where you arrange scenes and characters to tell a story that fits the prompt (think interactive fairy tale meets comic strip). It’s intuitive, adorable, and genuinely funny, with moments that made me laugh out loud. If you liked A Little to the Left, you’ll vibe with the same kind of casual, satisfying "aha!" moments here. That said, it’s a short story. I finished the main story in around 2 hours, and hit 100% achievements at 3h15. The puzzles are fun and clever, but they’re also extremely easy. You can brute-force solutions if you want, and while the setup feels like it encourages creativity, there’s only a limited amount of right answers per page, which slightly undercuts the magic of "telling your own tale." Still, it's a delightful concept executed well. Is it overpriced? Maybe, if you're looking purely at content length. But on sale (especially the 40% discount at the time of this review), I’d say it’s a cozy, creative gem worth picking up for a couple hours of lighthearted fun. Perfect for puzzle beginners, rainy mornings, or anyone who just wants to watch a vampire get rejected repeatedly.
