While the developers' past of abandoning Early Access games should give you a pause when you're about to purchase another early access game by this developer, I'm giving this a thumbs up because even if it is abandoned as it is right now, I feel it's still worth the price. And unlike their pervious game this one is not an MMO so does not require active servers to enjoy, so again the damage if abandoned is lower. I will warn, however, that it has it's fair share of bugs, crashes and UX issues. If you're looking for a well polished game, this might not be for you. But if you're looking for something deep and engaging, and are ok with some clunkiness and the occasional crash (I suggest you save often) - then this game is pretty good. Still, I'm hoping that this time they will be able to get it through to the finish line and provide a more polished and bug-free game.

I don’t usually quit games once I’ve sunk a few hours in, but Bellwright just burned me out. On paper, it has everything I like: medieval setting, base-building, survival mechanics—but in practice, it’s just an exhausting loop of chopping wood, hauling rocks, and micromanaging villagers who barely seem to function. The grind isn’t just slow...it’s lifeless. You spend so much time doing the same handful of tasks, and there’s barely any payoff. No major sense of progress, no real narrative push, and no “oh wow” moment that makes the effort feel worth it. I kept waiting for it to click, but it never did. To be fair, it’s not broken. It runs fine. Some people will enjoy the slow-burn, systems-heavy game play. But for me, it felt like I was working a second job, with worse pay.

I have a firm belief that if you expect me to pay $30 or more for a game I expect to be able to get 100 or more hours of game play out of the game. To say that Bellwright has surpassed my expectations is to say the LEAST. I love the story and I DO love a game that requires me to grind a bit! There's so much to explore in the game and I love that, i'm over 100 hours in and haven't even freed the first 4 towns yet. My only critiques are that ALL games should include a thorough section of Barbie Dream House Options (I want to be able to decorate and build my own personal space for my character) and Barbie Dress Up Options (You Cannot Fight Crime If You Aren't Cute.) They give ENOUGH character customization options that I can get down with it, but I'd prefer more and the ability to decorate my own cabin. But either way, 100% worth the purchase in my opinion.

If you think that you would like this type of game. You will. Huge room for sequels, I cant wait until something like this gets a modding community. The market for this version of game with low fantasy elements would be huge. I don't mind supporting this game. I usually don't write reviews.

Review from 25. of June 2025, Early Access The game concept is just my jam, you build slowly a community of AI driven companions/workers/fighters, which currently have some weird AI voices ( devs promise full Voice Acting on release ). Your village is the centerpoint of game mostly, you gather wood, ore, craft weapons, care for animals, cook, usual stuff. But you also forward this to your NPC friends, so you can explore, fullfill quests for other villages, fight bandits, and, what is the final goal, liberate the lands of oppressors. There is also fishing, animal hunting, skinning, farming... its a lovely sim. Music is interesting, giving Witcher 3 vibes. Fight system is not boring, and you can take your NPC friends with you, So you can crush bigger and bigger enemy groups, kinda "mount and blade style" but lil smaller scale. Also, this game has CO-OP ! Which seems really like it doubles/triples/quadruples the fun, depends how many friends you can gather. BUT i played 100 hours so far, SOLO, and still, it was a ride. This review is written several days after last patch, year after Early Access started, and it was worth the money. But still i hope i get MORE value for my hard earned EURO´s, i hope devs finish this amazing game, so i can play it again on full release ! :) Have fun guys !!! And make peace not war... So far 8/10

There's lots to do in this game - create settlements, outposts, armies complete quests and manage your settlers. The realism of the graphics are a plus it really helps with the immersion. I definitely like a slow manageable game so you can set that up in your preferences, if you'd like something harder and more fast paced you can adjust it to your taste. I've enjoyed all 400 hours in the game and look forward to more updates.

The first half of the game (up to the middle of tier 2 out of 3) is awesome, but it seems the game has been properly developed only up to this point. After that the gameplay stops evolving, instead of getting anything new you just get much more of the same. If you ever get tired of massacring bandits and brigands - you get tired of the game, since that's all there is up to the end. You will just get more bandits and brigands in thicker armor. Every camp clearing is the same, every town liberation is the same, you will only get more enemies with better equipment, the process itself is the same. Every task in this game is tedious by design, but generally it's not a problem, since you are supposed to automate thing with your villagers, and they do a decent job harvesting and processing resources as you order. This part of the game is done well enough. However, the few tasks which demand player's attention, like building outposts and leading your army far away from your main settlement, quickly become a chore. Both are required by the middle of the game, and both remain the same until the end. The outposts also need to be manually supplied resources once in a while at best (at worst you will also have to manage their stockpiles), since building a fully autonomous outpost would require having copper and tin ores together (no such thing on the map), and there is no way to supply outposts automatically, only the other way around. Leading the army far away takes half an hour in one direction, so you have to build a specific fast-travel building, river port, in a few spots on the map where it is possible, which is tedious just like outposts and takes about an hour per port. And even then, your soldiers on march are infuriatingly slow, even walking them from port to camp and back will get old soon enough. Half of the playtime is spent running around on foot, as fast-travel is severely limited here. You can travel alone, without your army, between travel signs you build. They are cheap and unlimited, but can only be built at pre-existing roads and far enough from villages. The last limitation is severe, as doing quests will require you going from village to village countless times, which means teleporting to the closest sign and then running uphill on foot for half a minute to the village itself. You can't build fast-travel points inside a village even after liberating it, so you are stuck running uphill and hopping fences every time you decide to visit a village, which you will do a lot. The game is still in early access, so maybe they will make the later half of the game more meaningful in the future if they don't abandon it, but right now there is essentially only half a game done, with a few tens of hours of monotonous camp clearing, army walking and sprint running on top.

It's not bad, this is a very borderline recommendation. In it's current form I'd give it a 6/10. If you're on the fence I'd stay on it for now until the game is further along into development. The good - It feels great starting off alone and building up a town, recruiting, training and equipping followers and then saving the nearby towns. It's rewarding earning renown and then spending it on new recruits. I also liked researching new technologies and then equipping myself and my people with new gear. The meh - In some areas it is very, very rough around the edges. Building is a pain, especially once you hit tier 2, moving buildings and resources is a big headache. Transferring resources to a new town is an enormous chore. Moving your units long distances is also a massive headache to the degree I often just ran around on my own. Bandit spawning mechanics feel very rushed and sloppy. They just magically spawn in units and buildings, they ought to need resources and time just like the player. Combat is janky, one vs one is fine, but as soon as you are up against multiple opponents the combat falls apart. Melee units don't attack at a sensible range for their weapon, they'll sprint towards you like feral zombies (even if wearing full plate armour) until they are literally nose to nose like they want to give you a big hug. The bad (very bad) Squad/Army management is abysmal. It's an absolute nightmare to control your units and unless you arrange them into formations manually they will get slaughtered by the enemy (even your toughest max stats warriors). The last straw for me on this playthrough was I ordered my archers to refill their ammo from an arrow basket (they inexplicably don't do this without you telling them to) and they all ran to a nearby warehouse and got undressed. I wish I was joking. On the subject of archers: enemy archers, even the most basic ones wearing rag trousers and nothing else, are all as overpowered as Legolas as they will headshot you consistently from extreme range through trees, shrubs and sometimes even rocks. Any attempt to zig zag or sprint sideways is futile as they'll still hit you with unerring accuracy. Whereas somehow your own archers are useless, they will plink away all your expensive ammo and hit nothing but terrain. More than that though your units always feel very underpowered regardless of their stats. Left alone they will always lose to raider parties. It made me feel like I had to tuck them all away somewhere safe rather than actually bring them into combat.

I loved this game for quite some time. I started the game just now after not playing for about two weeks. It had an update, and when I started playing, I realized that most of my companions would not follow orders. They would not assemble where I told them, they would not gather resources. What is the point of playing if all my companions won't gather the spoils after we defeat a base? This error in the game has turned the game sour and it's already quite a challenging game. Fix it.

Bellwright is a thoughtfully crafted puzzle-adventure game that weaves a unique blend of narrative depth, atmospheric world-building, and innovative gameplay centered around the ringing of bells. At its heart, the game invites players into a quaint and mysterious village where sound serves as both a tool and a key to unraveling the story and solving intricate puzzles. The bell-ringing mechanic is cleverly integrated into nearly every aspect of the game, requiring players to listen carefully and experiment with timing, sequences, and resonance to interact with the environment, unlock hidden pathways, and awaken dormant magic within the world. This core mechanic offers a refreshing departure from traditional puzzle games by blending auditory cues with spatial problem-solving, engaging multiple senses to create a deeply immersive experience. Visually, Bellwright boasts a minimalist yet evocative art style that emphasizes warm, earthy tones and subtle details, evoking a cozy, almost storybook-like atmosphere. The world feels alive despite its simplicity, thanks in part to beautifully crafted animations and an ambient soundtrack that complements the gameplay with soothing melodies and environmental sounds. The audio design, particularly the bell chimes, is exceptional—each bell tone is distinct and carefully tuned to enhance the emotional and functional impact of gameplay moments. This careful attention to sound elevates the experience, making players acutely aware of the rhythm and harmony that underlie the game’s puzzles. Narratively, Bellwright unfolds gradually, weaving folklore and mystery into a quiet yet compelling storyline that encourages exploration and reflection. The narrative is not intrusive but rather integrated seamlessly with the gameplay, rewarding curiosity and attentiveness with story fragments and lore that deepen the player’s connection to the world. This approach creates a meditative pacing that contrasts nicely with the cerebral challenge of the puzzles. Gameplay progression in Bellwright is well-balanced, with puzzles that grow steadily in complexity without becoming frustrating. The challenges demand logical thinking, pattern recognition, and sometimes trial-and-error experimentation, but the game consistently provides subtle hints through environmental storytelling and audio cues to keep players on track. While the puzzles can become intricate, the intuitive interface and forgiving checkpoint system ensure accessibility for a broad range of players. However, Bellwright is not without minor drawbacks. Its deliberately slow pace and contemplative style may not appeal to players seeking fast action or high-intensity challenges. Additionally, the game’s narrative, while atmospheric and intriguing, can feel somewhat cryptic, leaving some story elements open to interpretation, which may frustrate players looking for clear resolutions. The game’s relatively short length also means that its world, though richly crafted, offers a brief experience that might leave players wanting more. Overall, Bellwright stands out as a unique and elegant entry in the puzzle-adventure genre. Its innovative use of sound as a gameplay mechanic, combined with a warm artistic presentation and a quietly compelling narrative, offers a deeply immersive and memorable experience. It’s a game that encourages players to slow down, listen closely, and appreciate the subtle beauty in both its puzzles and storytelling. For those who enjoy thoughtful, sensory-rich adventures that challenge the mind while soothing the spirit, Bellwright is a rewarding journey well worth undertaking. Rating: 7/10

I don't like leaving reviews before I put in a good number of hours into a game, and ideally I'll come back and add to this review once I do, but I needed to say this. The optimisation. Is. Absolute dogwater. If you have the minimum requirements for this game, I don't think you can run this game. If you have the recommended requirements, I think you'll be lucky to have a smooth experience running it on low . My specs are way above the recommended here, yet running the game on medium settings was giving me constant 20 FPS. What the hell? Your game is pretty, but it's not that pretty. I understand it's early access, but if a player can't play your game, you don't have a game. I don't care about what features you intend to add if I'm watching my guy walk in slow motion. Figure your shit out. Note that I was able to get smooth gameplay after I implemented a LOT of DLSS frame boost and frame generation. Still on medium settings and above recommended specs, by the way. If I need to use some Nvidia fake frame bullshit to run your game, you have issues you need to work out. Optimise your game. I nearly refunded it over this, but I am still willing to give it a chance. Unfortunately, many players with a weaker PC than mine will never get that chance, despite advertising otherwise. Work out your shit.

What its missing: Personally when playing this game, it was fun at 1st but then you quick start to realize that the game has limits. I think if this game renders in some sorta way of increasing scale in production, war, logistics, etc. then it can be a really great game

Well, You know those early access games... In 2 days, I spent 22 hours in the game. I hate to recommend this game to you, yes, you, my young fellow. Buy at your own risk. You buy Bellwright and you're going to wait until the next research is done, or until the stew is done, or one more building is built, or maybe some small hunt... Well week later you will be surprised there is a grass outside and that you have been pressumed dead for the past 5 days as you didnt leave your room.

It does many things quite well. First and foremost it actually provides what it sets out to do: a colony and rebellion sim. (Unlike Medieval Dynasty which is by necessity a dating sym but everyone looks dull and identical) The progression system is also much deeper though you will inevitably get a bit frustratedcat first because of the hidden interdependencies. Graphics are good but not quite as good as MD and definitely in need of performance optimization. But it runs well enough on my older setup. I also like the Valheim style food system where you can eat up to three different things each giving differen bonuses to health and stamina. The management aspect is also pretty decent already. Unfortunately where the game needs a ton of improvement is the combat, which particularly in the beginning is atrocious. It tries to be interesting with block and the different directional attacks but when 2/3 directions are unable to hit wolves because the hitboxes are too low and surviving the inevitable 3vs1 fights is imposdible in meele this ambition counts for little. To compensate for this the devs made ranged combat completely op allowing instakills with the bow. And to compensate for that they made the bow super janky to aim. Like when aiming even the slightest movement of the mouse can cause jumps of up to a meter to the left/right.

God i love this game, it can be a little frustrating at the start but once you really get going, the hardest thing to do is decide where to build your tier 3 town, but its a good way to spend a good number of hours without realising how long you were playing.

Fun but grindy. Some people didn't have the same issue, but I was fighting bandits like crazy. I already got the "Kill 100 bandits" achievement, and I've only been playing for around 10 hours. I was just trying to build a settlement, but bandit patrols just kept attacking so I fought them all off on my own. At least I ended up with a bunch of stuff, and renown however. Was playing on normal difficulty. Be aware that the game's skill level stuff are really grindy. Books can slightly increase your skill level, but have a 30 minute cooldown. I saw a guide where a dude was just beating dead bodies of bandits for hours to level up strength. After fighting hundreds of bandits with a sword, and plank shield for hours, I definitely feel that I got better at the game. I guess it was a player skill payoff too. There's a ton of content in the game as of right now, I'm still in the first area up top. Not even near the tier 2 bandit camps yet. There's mods being added to the game too, but they are kind of in a startup state right now, so don't expect too much. The combat in this game attempts to be like mount and blade, but the sensitivity is just super bad right now. You block or attack in one direction, but then your character suddenly does it in a different direction. Like attacking upwards, but he decides to go downwards instead. Really over-sensitive controls. I did lower the sensitivity of both vertical and horizontal down to just 10%, but it was still doing it. Didn't have the same issue with mount and blade, so it must be this game's combat control programming,

first negative review i ever wrote on here for a game and its not a terrible game but i really want to enjoy this game i truly do but the combat makes progression annoying when i go to the bandit camp in padlow is when i gave up, companions die near instantly making them pointless in combat, bandits can somehow block from the back if they have a shield equipped so trying to get bow shots off from the back is pointless, stamina drains way to fast in combat and anything more than 1v1 fights just forget about trying to survive. If they can fix and balance the combat maybe i could play again but

I truly want to enjoy this game and think that it has a ton of potential, however, trying to get your workers to do what you need when you need it is like pulling teeth. All my workers wanted to do was thresh wheat 24/7, which is fine when you first get to that point, but later on its incredibly annoying. Yeah you can raise or lower the priorities of individual people and workstations but this still does not seem reliable. Between this, ignoring resources that are clearly sitting in the workshops, and having to hand feed every. single. little. thing. to the goblins you call workers (not altogether unrealistic), and the abysmal combat, this game needs some work. The best way to win any fight in the entire game is skaven tactics. Drown them with bodies in the tightest corridor possible. Fighting in an open field is the absolute worst thing you can do. Your shields simply do not protect you, while the enemy's are like riot gear. A few improvements i recommend: carts to move large amounts of resources locally, horses, dedicated employment for villagers-> (if i want someone to ONLY cook all day long i shouldnt have to watch them stir a pot once then sit around with a thumb up their arse for 20 minutes with another pot ready to go), army formations, among other things. Please fix the game i like so that i may love it.

Brother ewwww .... If the movement and poor interactions with objects aren't enough to kill the sense of immersion in the world, the horrific dialogue and half-assed NPC interaction are. An idea of a good game isn't the same as a good game - it's not even fun if you pretend to like it.

Bellwright is primarily a game about kingdom management. You shouldn't expect the amenities of an open world survival craft slop game as it's intended for you to set up proper logistics and use your people to build up your villages and settlements. You don't run around with 7,000 logs magically stuffed into your pocket and slap down houses left and right. You have to transfer resources manually, in small chunks, or just recruit a settler who will do it for you. The more settlers you have, the more you assign to different tasks, the quicker and easier life gets. It's on a prioritization system, so you'll never have them just standing around. You set two, a primary and secondary that they will always fill work orders for first, but anybody can do the basics and they can be trained for specialized positions. The early game focuses on doing quests and beating up bandits to increase your reputation in each region so that you can recruit more people. Eventually this leads to you becoming the bellwright of a given village and being allowed to make administrative decisions. By then, your understanding of the game and its mechanics should be absolute and it becomes about conquest. Defeat the Brigands who work for the evil lord of suffering and secure the land for yourself using armies that are modest but fit the combat system well.

A very pleasant game to play. Relatively slowly paced but extremely immersive with good music and sounds. I play it mostly to build and expand slowly my village and the numerous quests given by nearby friendly villages help a lot in discovering all the things you can build. The world is nice but exploration can be a bit risky so I still stayed in neighbouring regions only. There is a very good balance in difficulty and even if the first combats can be a bit harsh, it's manageable once you know how to block attacks. The combats kinda reminds me of similar medieval 1st person games. A bit clunky and slow but it allows an interesting combat. Raids on your village are fun and a bit stressful as raiders can really steal quickly your resources but the game gives you a whole day to get prepared so it's really fair. A special point to the villagers. The creafting and automation through your villagers is really good. Never stuck, never any issue with priority even if many tasks can exist when your village grows a bit. You can even drop your broken shield in a chest and just leave your villagers repair it without any click. There seems to be many other aspects of the game I havn't really played yet like liberating a village or militias but so far so good ! Oh and I really love the death system where your villagers can "die" but they will first respawn with a debuf and if you get them killed again while debuffed, they might not come back ever. Again a pretty fair system. Maybe the fews cons I saw were the uninteresting mining system where you just press the left mouse button and wait randomly to get resources. A few issues were, when production is set to reach a certain value, anything ready to produce will start in parallel, leading to overproduction especially on the farm where you'll end with 100 items where you only wanted to have 10.

I will give this a positive review, though of course it is in EA still and there is room for improvement and fine-tuning yet, which should be borne in mind. It's a beautiful game and I love the concept, but I have small gripes that make me decide to put it down for a while until more updates come out. Main ones are: the villagers who work with you are incredibly slow and mosey around like stoned snails. It's frustrating. Your inventory is tiny, there's too much running around to storage over and over. I hate limited inventories at the best of times (I'd mod it away but mods I've found haven't been updated for a year and aren't working) Despite setting everything to as easy and peaceful as possible, the bandits do not stop raiding. They one-shot me while I'm trying to navigate the clunky combat system. Feels like a toddler trying to wield a claymore with one hand behind its back. Villagers also get one-shot downed and take forever to recover, hampering village growth. Resources like trees etc are depleted far faster than you can reach the level needed to start replenishing them, causing woodcutters to wander into bandit camps repeatedly, suffering the one-shot death and forever recovery mentioned above. Frustrating. A boar killed my cat. Devastation! What with the glacial villagers and the constant interminable wait for dead ones recovering, the pace just isn't quite balanced for my liking at this stage. I don't know if this is something that will be fine tuned in due course. I've played 33 hours at time of writing (before and after most recent updates). Progress is definitely there and I'm confident will continue. I will come back again after the next update.

Bellwright is a great game with tons of content. Even in its Early Access state, I’ve put in 115 hours and still haven’t explored half the map. There’s a lot to do: battles, building your settlement, recruiting villagers, and more. That said, the game definitely has its issues. The combat is awful. I’ve played a lot of games with similar styles like Bannerlord, where it at least feels decent. Here, it just feels bad. Settlement building is also incredibly grindy. You have to click on tiny white circles one by one to build structures. I don’t mind gathering tons of resources, but the actual process of placing and building things is tedious. You’re basically forced to rely on your villagers to build for you. Villager management is another rough spot. The game uses a priority system for both buildings and job types, which feels vague and inefficient. It’s not a bad system overall, and the job priority setup is good for automating things up to a point, but it’s missing a key mechanic: the ability to give direct orders. I want to tell specific villagers what to work on or assign them to a task manually, and that level of control just isn’t there. Bellwright does a lot of things well, but nothing great. Right now it’s a jack of all trades, master of none. It’s fun and there’s a lot to do, but it needs work. Villager management needs a complete overhaul, the combat needs major improvements, and player-built settlements need way more variety. Every building ends up looking the same, and it gets boring fast. That said, it’s absolutely worth the price in its current state. There are loads of hours worth of content already, and the devs seem to be dropping updates regularly, which is promising for the future.

Finally I found a survival/crafting/building game with no magic or fantasy! I love the medieval theme and that you are fighting with and against other humans. It's great when you start from a stick hut and slowly build your way to prosperous villages and tons of workers. They also added livestock and fishing in latest update. I've only conquered the northern part of the map but there are tougher opposition south side of the river. I wish Valheim was like this with other NPCs around and it would be my top game ATM (or sailing added to Bellwright).

I can't recommend it in it's state right now, somehow it's more tedious then other survival games even though water/disease/weather isn't a concern. It's probably more tedious due to the fact that almost no items stack in your inventory. Apparently a herb takes as much space as a "crude" stone, or 9 herbs is equal to 1 log in your limited inventory space. It's a rather empty map, and the villagers are pretty useless outside of your own settlement. There doesn't seem to be any weight behind the quests. Anyways good concept but can't recommend.

It's a fun game if you're in for the long run, you see a lot of players talking about 30-40 hours just to get settled in. I've enjoyed everything thus far and the workshop opening is encouraging, very interested to see what the community cooks up. It's still EA so there are some rough edges... collision and combat are two that come to mind. Also missing some content... I guess the devs are still working on filling the "defense" category of buildings. While the fences function they aren't a very immersive means of fortifying against an endless onslaught of a literally unkillable force. Progression itself has been fun, going from survivalist to a village. The bait on the stick naturally leads to being a proper town in T3 which also looks satisfying. Watching my villagers' stats go up is nice. Still hate them a bit from how useless they can be. I get you're the one running the show and this is meant as a colony sim, it's just a bit frustrating when your villagers cannot handle one step out of line in their task. Example: Camp relies on traps for food. Villagers use traps till they break. Traps need to be replaced right? Well you didn't select for traps to be topped off in the production queue and no one knows what to do. Now I have to intervene, it's as simple as queuing the top off in the crafting table but it's still annoying having to spell out every step- it takes away from my other tasks. Army management is worse, I craft the best weapons/armor people can use/wear and they throw it into storage. Provide a plethora of food and it is instantly all eaten or not touched. Then I summon my forces to fight a bandit camp or the brigands and I'll be met by an unarmed, starving band of misfits in rags. It's like herding cats, I also have to go with them because if I fast travel somewhere, they'll stretch to a mile long conga line to be picked off by boar and bandit. 33% attrition to get to the battle. It is a good game and has a lot of potential (and hopefully more in the pipeline) but 90 hours in 3 weeks has me a bit burned out I think. Dealing with brigand reclamations constantly (now at Farnsworth) is just exhausting and not really fun. That's with bandit raids turned off as they were also scaling past me and coming every other day. Can't get a moment's peace. Thumbs up, hope to see more, don't cut the line short on this Donkey Crew. You've got something good here, just follow through on execution.

Great game, devs update constantly. Modding just added with great modders like voidkitten updating and adding. If you like basebuilding with a macromanaging for villagers, you'll like this. It's like ASKA but more detailed in the macromanaging aspect.

for $35aud on sale. If you haven't yet. I suggest you should!. Its an awesome game with plenty to keep you interested, it initially reminded me of a 3D Rimworld but as you progress it goes more akin to Mount & Blade. leading large armies across the map.

Definitely one of the better survival games I've played in awhile. It's awesome you can build a city, recruit citizens, and have them fight as an army with you.

I hope the overall principle of the game changes in a way to make it more like an actual sandbox. However, so far they managed to make something really unique. I am tuned for what is to come!

Got this game in early, early access and played 8 hrs then gave up. Glad I came back to it 6 months later. The Devs have done it proud. It still has a way to go but the bones are there and it was fun and engaging right through till the end. Looking forward to the next content.

The graphics are really good. Its like a better version of Medieval Dynasty, it may be too early in the game to officially say that. Graphically so far it looks and feels better. A great job on this game and can't wait to explore it some more

this dev is doing the right thing by adding official mod support and steam workshop while still in early access this game will be very cool when finished, if you enjoy a slow-medium paced settlement sim/ building/ similar to pal world but medieval its worth buying and playing but AI is definitly being used for the voices which is kinda creepy but also interesting to see as a place holder devs promise full voicelined npcs later, if curious give it a try game is good so far kinda hard combat though

The game seems like something to be excited for but the use of AI so blatantly sucks , but i'll give it a pass since it can be turned off and seems like a placeholder for what is hopefully future voice acting.

Overall a very good game, where I'm having lots of fun building my settlement and army. Still a few bugs like logs falling through the map, or construction points hidden too low under the map, especially for roads. I'd also like the possibility to relocate buildings before finishing the construction and entering numerical numbers in production limits. Clicking to 200 or more on a farm crop is a pain. However, considering it's still a beta, it's a very addictive product, especially more fun in multiplayer.

An extremely immersive , fairly hardcore, niche experience. This won’t appeal to a mainstream audience and that’s its charm. I found it extremely addicting , the music, the mood and graphics felt like I was transported back to medieval times. The combat is lacking at least for melee but it’s not a major focus for me. It tends to have no weight and feels like swinging in the wind but it’s doable. What I loved were moments where I felt like I was scratching a living on berries and mushrooms and constructed a bow to go on a hunting trip . The game shines here. Truly I felt like a careful hunter though I missed a stealth mechanic. The crafting is hardcore by virtue of its depth. It’s less complicated than something like soul mask but the progress is at a realistic pace. Nothing is instant here. You have to work for progress. The first time I planted beetroot after unlocking farming I realised you need to weed, fertilise and look after your crops. You are as much a farmer as a hunter, as a Warrior leader. I’m working towards keeping my own chickens. Never thought would be a long term goal in a game but here we are. I really liked how construction works. You get a sense of actually building something rather than just clicking one button. A charming, interesting and intelligent game which I will sink hours into. 8.5/10 Needs better melee combat and tutorials could be better. Well worth a buy.

Its a very fun game to play with friends. Even when gameplay can be a bit repetetive its still fun to play. I myself have over 70 hours on 1 world with a friend after just downloading the game about 3 weeks ago. It does still need some work like the AI models are not always the smartest but they do what they need to do.

I love this game even though its a grind to play. Graphics need work to much shuttering. Need more game options like being able to turn off reclamation attacks. How about a major update?
