Pros + Fantastic little light-hearted farming game with a generous amount of content and crops. + Great to play solo or with friends (or your hot gamer wife). + Progression is well spaced out, even after 100+ hours you'll still be regularly unlocking new stuff. + Huge map which you unlock as you progress in farm level and diamonds. + You can create huge fields. + Plant whatever crop you want, wherever you want, provided it is in season at the time. + Loads of animals, fish, trees and flowers too. + Customizable characters, though more options and tractor designs would be nice. + Dog or cat companion (also customizable). + Regular events with unique unlockable decorations and crops. + Potentially thousands of hours worth of replayability if you want it. + Easy to pick up and put down whenever. Crops don't wither so there's no stress. + Time (crop growth) progresses even when the game isn't running. Cons - Some crops take a long time to grow (1 day+ real time). - Can be quite grindy. - Needing to travel to town to sell crops, although quick, can be a bit annoying. - Chasing down quest-givers in town gets tiring (why are you running?). - You can have 5 equally large plots of land (maps) on your farm, but only 1 map can be active at a time, and if you change to another map, everybody on the server is forced to go there with you. - Going inside buildings like the house, the other house and the mine to cycle through the stages of painting, piano, cooking and sculpting tasks feels unnecessary and just creates more work. Overall rating 8/10 - Definitely recommended, whether you play it offline, with rando's, friends, family, your pet hamster, or your hot gamer wife.

Q: Is there any big changes between the first game and this one? A: Yes. You build the facilities to increase your farm capacities in a town outside of your farm and there is an underground mine. Q: Do these changes make a noticeable difference in the gameplay? A: Absolutely not! Now you just have some extra space in your farm that you're never gonna use and got some extra stuff to spend on upgrades. Q: So why have I played 50 hours and most likely will spend another 50 on a game that doesn't offer much of a difference. A: I'm a simple grind freak.
Overall Impressions
Playing with friends made the experience much more engaging, as playing alone can be a bit dull. However, it's worth noting that in the beginning, playing with others can be challenging since the game requires real-time commitment. On one hand, this is a plus, but on the other hand, it reminds me of mobile farming games from 2013, where you need to log in once a day to collect your harvest.
Gameplay
The gameplay differs from typical farming simulator games. Everything happens from a third-person perspective, which creates a unique experience and allows you to immerse yourself in the life of a farmer. I particularly appreciate the addition of a city that can be upgraded, which was not present in the first installment.
Comparison with the First Game
When I first entered the second part, I didn’t notice many differences from the first game. The main distinction is the addition of the city, which was absent in the first part. Otherwise, you could play the first game without spending money on the second, although «Farm Together 2» feels fresher.
Recommendations
I would recommend this game to those looking to kill some time with a farming simulator. However, it's important to note that the game has a peak, and once you reach it, logging in may become pointless, as everything becomes highly automated.

One of the best cozy games out there. I remember buying Farm Together 1 years ago, (and I believe it was my first steam game) this game is just as good if not better. Made with the same love and dedication as the first one. If you're a fan of farm games and just good games in general, having this game in your library it's a no brainer.

If you have ever played the 1st. The second one is even better. At first it is not what you're use to. And it seems off but once you get use to the new way of some things you'll love it better! If there is a 3rd I am in!

100% Recomendado.

Genuinely builds off the first game in every single way. This game has a lovely aesthetic and charming feel, you can play it for hours or play it in 10 min sessions and it will still feel fun!

Fun in the beginning with loads of new perks to unlock such as veggies, animals, fish, trees, flowers, buildings, and land. I guess tractor too but I wish it went faster when plowing. Also unlock workers for your farm but its currently maxed at 25 for each farm location despite having all 49 unlocked plots. Game does slow down after unlocking majority of the perks. Wish more variety of buildings/shop can be added to the town. More faeries as well, they're so aesthetically pleasing :D

It is very similar to the original Farm Together. But I find it fun to unlock new items/crops. The graphics are incredible!

I had FT1, but I spent very little time on it. FT2 is super addictive, it's easy to play and I generally have a good time interacting with the community. So if you see me online, join my farm, do some favors, and sign the daggum guest book.

Just an incredible game. My wife and I play everyday to make our dream farm! There are some minor issues like when playing with keyboard and controller, the button appears on the screen will jump between the two, and I just wish that we are allowed to have multiple menus opened when playing with split screen, so that we don't have to fight over who's buying stuff. But definitely not a deal-breaker.

It's very fun and relaxing! Some players don't like the town mechanic, but I do. It's a nice break from farming all the time, and it feels interactive too. I like the large amount of produce and categories, I like the events, and how we can visit each other's farm. It's always interesting to see how people set up theirs

This is a good farming sim, however, the "Together" part of it is severely lacking. It's problematic to visit other farms, as you need to log out of your own farm, go back to the main menu, then go to other farms. The list of other farms to visit seems very random, and almost all farms I've visited so far seem to be abandoned. Its been impossible to find farms with the event crops to progress. The game really needs some sort of farm co-op feature where you join a group of farms and have quests that require working together. At the moment its a very lonely experience.

oof... mega mixed feelings for this game. So, at first i wasnt too excited playing this. It has nothing to relieve the repetitiveness. And its not fantasy like what im used to. It's got zero skills nor relationship. And very barely any town building - just a heads up. Only got it to play with a friend since we have different opinions on games. But lo and behold, ive sunk over 50+ hours into this game. i'd say the best thing it has going for it is the fact that all the farming, crops, and animals are based off real life. Just given a "cutesy" look to it. Plus the timer does run for crops when game closed. I've gotta say tho, its only worth playing when you're that bored and/or tired. Or if you dont know what else to play. Events are alright i guess but they all the same. Sow, reap, collect points. It's 80% a "just tractor and go" game. Sure there's a house and mine you can get eventually but- It can be a massively grindy game with awful progression... OW End of day, get it if you're bored and want something "cute" farm related.

There's a lot I like about FT2 that I like compared to FT1 (the wind in the trees, greater details), but FT1 is still my favorite -- I miss the yew trees, the birch trees, the deer, and all the elements that helped make wild forests surrounding the farm. I was hoping, actually, that FT2 would add even more elements for wild forests (e.g. wolves? ancient oaks? bear?). I also don't like having to go into town in FT2....FT1 allowed us to make our own little markets, and I loved that. Also I much prefer the FT1 soundtrack. Still, all in all, I'd recommend FT2...even though I'd recommend FT1 more.

I hadn't logged into FT2 for a couple of months. I tried today and the game reverted to an old Steam sync so my farm went from level 100+ to 15 and lost 170+ hours of gameplay. :( (I never disable Steam cloud)

Hi All, After 32 hours in the game and solving my first Event, were I was scared I can´t made it in 12 days without the help of other Player.... I made it in 3 day´s. If I could make it everyone can make it. I wanted to test it out bevore I starte a review. Oh uhm you are here to read more about important stuff right? Like explain the gameplay, why is it good etc.? First I did not play the first part of this game and of course this game has not so many DLC like the other. But I am sure it will come with time like the asian outfit or the party outfit if enough ppl write they want it and if the company have the time because it´s a little one. Now to the gameplay it´s rougly like this: You have to plant out that row of 348 peppercorn before you go off. That sounded so much when you began with one field 3x3 and carrots, wondering how to get better corps. The tractor is in automatic mode and the sound is very pleaseing to hear. The season change and the music with it, in the beginning you though "it´s to fast" but nah it´s not. You get used to it. You know it should only take a bit of time and than you will go in bed..., yes just this one thing and than... you will... How to fulfill the Quest that pop up on your farm alone but if you press L (on keyboard you can red a little Story), or the People in town who cry if you can not help, sometimes they even exchange corps or other things with diamonds etc. You remember how you opened your first store and thought uff... how expensive. Now you have 5 and upgraded some. But that is all in the past... because your thoughts are just: Your overnight crops are planted, your flowers are cut, the animals and fish are harvested, did you feed the animals too? Nod good, but wait gahh my cooking, my painting, rushing in the house and now finally it's time for bed. On the next Day, one of your houses sits perched atop an intricate waterfall system complete with multiple tiers/levels. Your backyard is literally a small orchard with flowers and bushes. The otherside you still pounding how it should look, the fishes need a place the animal too...you wanna have it look good but a new Seed showed up. Mmmh but you have time to think it over, ey I redecorate 4 season straight hahaha cost more than 5 thousend diamands. In the beginning hahahah a dream and I waited long till I could build the store to shape my farm but I loved it! My flowers needed the automatic watering! But my store...aaaaaaaah I have time its my farm, nod the music is cute. Time to pay your farmhands, oh how long did it felt to gain them and to get used to the small area they will work at. But still they are good ppl but than you got to town to make a hard decision, do you wanna have a cat or dog? Do you like your Fairy that light you through the night or rather wanna have the new Flame? No no think about profit not nonsense... like clothes or how your Tractor sounds or the animal sound, no I do not look at the new Hairstyle... focus. Now I write a review and don't really know why this game is so good, but I know that it just is. It is a cozy game that you play alone or with friends. You can even set the settings of the game and farm to how you want them the to be. You can play at your own pace. A wonderful successor to the first game with many quality of life improvements and visual updates. Love it!! And the Best of the BEST the language GERMAN is included !!! So will you love it too? There is only one way to find it out. I forgot to write the achievements are completet even if you play like me offline! Greetings a big FAN

I like the game for the most part. That being said the Town feature is such a game breaker for me. Having added extra farms up to a total of 4 that you switch to from a building in the town was a great change and the first time I've felt the town was in any way needed. Give me town customization. Let me delete everything and make it have any kind of efficiency that i like to have in my farm.

FIX YOUR FXXX GAME SERVERS! I KEEP GETTING RANDOMLY DISCONNECTED WHILE PLAYING. THIS HAPPENS 3 TO 4 TIMES EVERY HOUR. AND THE RECONNECTING TIME TAKES FOREVER. STOP GASLIGHTING PLAYERS INTO CHOOSING OFFLINE MODE. IT’S OUR CHOICE HOW WE WANT TO PLAY. I CHOSE TO SET MY FARM TO PUBLIC, AND I EXPECT A STABLE SERVER, NOT TO BE FORCED INTO OFFLINE JUST TO STAY CONNECTED!!!!!!!!! PLZ!!!!!!

I'm a big fan of Farm Together 1. I'm even more of a fan of Farm Together 2. It takes what I love about Farm Together 1 and, in my opinion, improves on it. Once I warmed up to the idea of the town, I like the implementation a lot better than the dozens of buildings to convert gems that were in Farm Together 1. Improved/Pros: -Pace feels a lot faster. -Auto farming is fantastic. -Gems and medals are a lot faster to earn. I don't feel like I have as much of a shortage of them. -Sprinklers are 3x3 instead of 2x1. They do cost two medals a piece, but that's two medals as opposed to 4.5 medals to cover a 3x3 area in FT1. -No more fishing chance. You catch what is there. -Animals use food instead of coins, so they're actually worth something without having to deal with the feed mixer from FT1 (which doesn't exist in FT2 as far as I am ware. -Having four quests (eventually) without having to deal with the marketing agency is great. -Can have a dog or a cat as a pet. -I love terraforming (for the most part - see cons). -Having the town means I don't have to keep gem conversion buildings on my farm. Some facilities do exist (such as the jam factory), but there aren't many. -The current game feels like there is a lot more content than the base game of FT1. -Drought and freezing no longer happen. Rain does, but it is not all season, which I don't mind as then it's more of a surprise when it happens. Cons: -Terraforming can be a bit clunky at times, and sometimes doesn't do what I expect it to do. Example: "Height - Slope" changes affect two different sized areas when switching between raise and lower, so raising a lower height takes a lot longer and more gems as lowering it does. It would be nice if it was more consistent and could adjust the area of effect. -When animals go to sleep for the night, some of them look like they flop down dead, especially the pigs. -Storage is a bit of a problem early game. Neutral: -So far, it seems like salt water and fresh water fish share the same area as opposed to FT1 where they were separate. I can see this being both a good or bad thing, depending on the person. It would be neat if there was a way to set it either way. Overall, a fantastic game that I'll likely put just as many, if not more, hours into as I did with FT1.
