A game about letting go, and the struggles that come with it. An honest to God short and simple masterpiece, can't recommend this enough.

Gorgeous, creative, fun and quirky. Oddly enough, I think Hauntii is best described as the indie version of Super Mario Odyssey, except its prettier, more creative and more personal, albeit shorter (which imo is a good thing). I describe it as such because the game progression is quite similar (broken down into comprehensible levels) and the core mechanic is similar (taking control of other things). If that sounds like your type of game, go for it. I will mention I do have a few mechanical criticisms: - The game is very much 2.5D, but depth perception can be an issue at times, I think due to the stark contrast and lack of shadows for floating objects, it makes it hard to gauge how where some objects are situated in relation to the ground. It's not a huge deal, but can lead to needing to repeating certain challenge. - Some of the UI animations is a bit slow (especially when inputting the starts into the constellations). - I encountered a few minor bugs, nothing game breaking. - Personally, I'm not huge on the Mario Odyssey level progression, but once I let go of 100% everything it felt like I could go through the game at my own pace and not let it drag on too long (I'm a very impatient gamer).
