One of the best designed builders I've played. It's all about understanding synergies and how bonuses stack, but not to the point of micromanaging or knowing the difference between a few decimal places. Playing Reus 2 feels like playing a really good board game where the computer does all the math for you, you set up your big drops and then watch the huge payoff go through the roof and it's super satisfying. This game also pulls off the uncommon situation where turning up the difficulty also made the game more fun. And as a bonus, the art is also really cute and charming. My nitpicks are that I would like to see the tooltips be a bit more informative, and that some of the final achievements are pretty grindy. Very minor flaws on an otherwise underappreciated gem. Overall, absolutely fantastic and one of my favorite games I've played this year. I think it's worth full price.
Reus 2 — Big gods, tiny towns, good job Abbey Games
Reus 2 is a great god game! But really more of a puzzle-strategy thing. Ye shall guide three gods of your choosing to place animals, plants, and minerals in combination to create lil baby societies. Then, over the course of several ages, these towns get bigger and bigger until, after like an hour and a half or so, the game’s done! Yay! I loved the first one and Reus 2 is what a sequel is supposed to be. It’s the same game but with MORE. MORE options. MORE plants. MORE minerals. More lil critters to discover. I’ve played about 64 hours so far and I’m still unlocking new stuff. Yum yum. Satisfying. Just to clarify — it’s not a god game as in, I can cast tornado and watch the lil rascals fly. More like, "I do goddish things... or I command the other lil gods to do goddish things." It’s puzzlish. Strategy-ish. But in a cozy way. Abbey Games, you done did it again. Fun, good, neat. I like it. Great job.
Played on PC. No bugs for me, just good vibes.
Recommended for fans of strategy, puzzle, god games, city-building, and cozy management sims.
I can't believe there aren't more people playing this game! I am officially addicted to it, it feels like a single person board game where you the computer does all the math and assembly for you. Some suggestions I would have is to make some sort of public leaderboard and a way to lose to add some stakes to the game as opposed to just achieving a high score. Currently I'm just going for achievements as a way to add difficulty as I usually end the planet after I achieve the third star on the final era.

Reus has always been a fun and interesting puzzle. This new iteration adds a more more user-friendly interface while not taking any of the diverse options away. The new game is complex, but clear. Added challenges and profile progress improve engagement. Reus 2 is a big improvement on an already excellent game.

I got way more addicted to this than I was expecting to lol So simple to pick up, but provides enough challenge to keep your attention! I really love all the different options, though I'm constantly itching for more content and new unlockables. (Definitely the sign of a good game though!) I really hope to keep seeing more added to the game! It's super fun, and I will absolutely buy more DLC if any are released! :)

in my eyes the only thing they need to do to make this game better is keep adding more titans/giants and biomes

I have nothing bad to say about this game. It is simply relaxing, beautiful and a bit unpopular despite the fact of how good it actually is.

A satisfying game of discovering synergies and building up steam to meet the needs of the challenges placed ahead of you. Your founding spirit, selected giants, and starting apex species (especially now that the default is all late-game powerhouses) mean that the bent of each game can be very different. A huge improvement over the first game and well worth it for optimizers. If there's one improvement I'd like, it's the ability to skip the cutscenes at the end of each age. After 30 planets, they get very repetitive.

I loved the first Reus, and I love this one too. This one has a lot more features and quality of life, it's a fantastic sequel.

It's just a glorified matching puzzle game. They wouldn't let me refund despite a 108 minutes playtime so they can have my middle finger in a review instead.
