Rakuen Animated Short Film - Farmer in the Sky (Ep. 2)

Coming off the heels of the third anniversary, Tales from Rakuen continue with *Farmer in the Sky Episode 2! The world and lore is much more expansive with this series and if Rakuen hit you in the feels, prepare for more. The characters are so vibrant and full of life. Something that is no easy task given there isn't a focus on spoken dialogue. A lot of what is communicated is through the body language and animation. Its so wholesome and heartwarming to see these characters interact with each other. Just like the game, these characters show each other empathy and kindness. They are the friends that you make along the way and I wouldn't have it any different. I recently played Rakuen, a game that is beautiful and heartbreaking. I highly recommend it. However, Farmer in the Sky has a completely different tone. This does not have the heavy themes or incredible (and somewhat exhausting) emotional of Rakuen, but instead present a heartwarming story of some denizens of Morizora's Forest. The story is told without dialog, but with charming music and sound effects. All of this means it should be appropriate for those of all ages, and who speak any language. Additionally, the story does not overlap the story of Boy and Mom, so there are no plot spoilers. You can watch it before playing the game, or show it to others who have not played, without worry. (But if you haven't played Rakuen, go do it.)

So cute! It's amazing to see the characters and the world of Rakuen come to life in 3D - the animation is stellar, all the characters have so much personality, the story is adorable, the theme song is lively and catchy - I love this!

Love it!! So wonderful seeing some of the lovable characters of Rakuen coming to life in 3D. This is such a lighthearted and warm addition to the world of Rakuen. Stunning animation, beautiful music and adorable characters create such a feel-good experience in this DLC short film. It does a wonderful job of story-telling without even using voices. I highly recommend getting this! I have already watched it a few times and will definitely watch again in the future! Can't wait for more of these!

Cute little film that tells a story without words. It reminds me of those disney short films that win rewards because it has a similar vibe. The graphics are insane. Super cute!

What a really sweet story! The interaction between the cavebud and leeble is so wonderful and genuine. Such high quality sound design too, it really sold the world and made it feel real! And oh my gosh that theme song is just too catchy. I so want a full version of it!
