30hrs - Very deep and detailed world of Skyrim is amazing.I am exploring the world for the first time and playing through the story. It is impressive how many quests and NPC's are in the world. Lore is great.I joined the Thieves Guild and bougth my first horse, grinding some gold by doing some side-quests before going further exploring! Highly recommend this game to everyone! 10/10

Everybody Loves this game, but why did they have to de-list the game off of steam ? cause their ass wholes to their customers. $$ grab. I only play this OG one because of mods. Special Edition doesnt have free mods. Maybe from Nexus im not sure, I havent tried it.

It has been over a decade and here I am leaving a review as I download this game again. I own it on Xbox 360, Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. Have been playing since release and finally have a powerful enough computer for some mods. 9.9/10 only because Bethesda PLEASE LET ME ROMANCE BRYNJOLF <3

After special edition came out, the horse in the intro cutscene has started contorting in ways that horses shouldn't, and before poor ralof has had the chance to look over and say "hey you, you're finally awake," the cart carrying us is launched into the stratosphere. Load-bearing horse. I have maybe a thousand hours spread out across different copies of skyrim, and I love them all. This is the game of all time.

Very immersive game, great graphics, and great combats. I like discovering new areas and new spells and weapons along the way. You decide where to go and what to do.

I’ve spent so many hours just wandering around Skyrim without even following the main story because the world is just that amazing. There’s always something cool to find, and I love getting lost in all the little towns, caves, and forests. Yeah, the game’s old and a bit buggy, but honestly? That’s part of the charm at this point. Mods make it even better if you’re on PC. It’s one of those games you can always come back to. The world is huge, the music is beautiful... It’s one of those games you can always come back to.

Unable to play the game. Steam Bethesda, Valve do not provide customer service or refund you money for a game that will not launch. Avoid these companies at all costs.

Tried to come back and play Skyrim again after having not played in prolly 4-5 years. Boy what a mistake... First, before someone goes off about how I can utilize mods to solve the literally retarded problems I'm experiencing, yea, I know it's a possibility. And if I were to actually play again I would certainly mod the hell out of the game, that is honestly at least 75% of the fun is what the mods add to it. However, I shouldn't need a mod for basic things like actual full screen. Or normal levels and options for resolution. Instead, I'm looking at 4 options for resolution, two aspect ratios, all combinations of which use at best ~65% of my screen space. And that's if I turn off Windowed mode (with or without borderless option checked) - WITH Windowed mode the real estate used for the game is around ~30% of the screen. This was never like this in the past? I have the same machine, same screen, literally same everything... and yet they've updated the game enough to make it so I have to find mods to make it even remotely playable? Inexcusable. Not that that really means much. Bethesda has shown with all of their heavy handed updating and control over Skyrim over the years, that the players and player experience is patently a tertiary concern at best in their game design theory. First and foremost is greed driven profit (not to be confused with reasonable, normal levels of profit driven business decisions or capitalism in general). Secondary is further greed driven profit but with a focus on how to exploit their already "captive" customer base, ie. those who have already bought the product, how do we get them to shell out more money for as little effort on our part as possible. Viola! Creation Club! I had hoped to be able to return and revitalize my enjoyment of what was at the time a wonderful gaming experience. Only to be faced with the reality that doing the developers job for them just to make the game playable, is likely not worth my time or effort. I'd get a refund if I could, but it's about 8 years too late for that. It's also doubtful that any people who haven't purchased this game will ever see this review buried under the pile of reviews that have been left for this game over the years. But, who knows. Perhaps my rant laden review will reach the eyes of some gamer who actually has not tried this yet. My advice, move along, this WAS a great game, but it's no longer worth the time of effort to make it playable. And with the changes forced on the captive customer base, the game is no longer worthy of the accolades it earned and received in the past.

The OG, good memories but you can't get this version anymore special edition is the replacement, it's better overall so no issue.

it's a bland RPG, that was a lot more fun when it 1st came out now you could be playing other games that are so much better, but it's not that bad when questlines and the game does not decide to break

Do NOT buy this one. Get the Special Edition released in 2016 or the Anniversary Edition. Multiple updates and QOL features were added since release and having all the DLCs and mods be compatible to those versions makes it an even better sell.

Must have put hundreds of hours into this across different platforms. In some ways a step up from oblivion (magic - destruction) however some areas weaker than oblivion (cities, magic conjuration) much less to offer than the previous game. I still enjoyed it with all the jank, like the giants clubbing you into another universe :D
