I picked up Mark Ffrench & Divide The Plunder's 2024 retrospective game (free!!) first, then Proverbs, and now Mega Mosaic. I love picross/pictograph games from the DS and Switch days. It's funny that this game is easily the worst of the three that I've played from Mark, but not in a "this sucks" way, but more that it's super clear with each entry that I go back and play through that Mark has clearly improved the puzzle crafting and presentation SO much with each new entry. This is the worst of the three simply because it's the earliest; it's still a great puzzler for Picross fans. When I've finished this one, I'm absolutely going to go pick up the new Mosaic of the Pharaohs -- I just love Picross-type games so much, and these games are all great fun.

I've played several of this dev's games, but this one was the most enjoyable for me, as it properly feels like a single giant puzzle. Loosely bounded sections with solutions that bleed into each other are much more fun to solve than hermetically sealed compartments that could have been presented as separate puzzles. None of these games are super challenging, but they are superlative for podcast listening background play.

Much harder than the others but still a great relaxing game.

I found this game because I stumbled upon the free 2024 mosaic. While I enjoyed that one a little bit more with the clickable sections and the way everything overlapped this still scratched that same itch. Great game!

Despite how "small" you might think it is mathematically, it ends up being very very extremely large. Which is satisfying in its own way! Only complaint I could have is that it becomes hard to find valid moves once you reach the late game, but that's literally why the hint system exists. I guess I didn't want to use "hints" but eventually became so exhausted with the massive board and finding a needle in a haystack that I relented? Probably just a personal ego thing. :P Loved the game though.
