I wanted to like the game, But the mechanics are clunky, Fighting in this game is stupid. No guns allowed, progress is slow, Why am i delivering food packages to the cartel instead of drugs? why are there 3 or 4 different bus routes, why is everything a loading screen, why are the boats so slow, why is the poi /suspect system stupid that when i encountered some enemies i can't get into my house for 15 minutes otherwise i'll get raided. Why have you not made the game fun? That's just some of the issues in my opinion. There is no fun to be had.

HA let me up charge you for a casino DLC that you can get for free in another certain game that was already $20 less in the first place. Nah you lost me here guys. I get the joke haha $7.77. No. Im all set with it. Don't grasp at the straws and cash grabs, just make the game please its still riddled with bugs, slowness, and is very grindy. Fix what you got first please.

Really poorly optimized. Critical bugs persisted even two months after release. Parts of the game feel like an asset flip, for example most npcs are stationary and just loop one animation. Most things that made DDS1 a masterpiece did not make it into this game. Things like durg mixing, the atmosphere or even the suspense of running from cops. The DDS1 map felt more alive and well polished. It feels like most of this games budget was spent on the map and the gameplay was added just because they had to release something. Now that Schedule 1 is out, this game is just a straight downgrade.

Contains a lot of stupid decisions. "Special" customers provide a tiny income but require you to drop what you're doing and travel all over the map to roll them some blunts or bake them cookies. You'll randomly lose rep/demand because apparently someone OD'd. Ok, well I'm selling the base product without any mix or cut so wtf. How do I mitigate that or stop it from happening again, the game certainly isn't going to tell me. Distributors aren't worth it as they take 20% off the top, on top of the 15% the dealers take. Chemists aren't worth it as they only know how to make make basic weed. Unless you spend half a million to train them! Wtf are they being trained by a celebrity? Map is way too big, which wouldn't be an issue if you could get around in a convenient fashion, but the fast travel system sucks. Clothes have durability, why? It's unnecessary tedium to have to visit a clothes shop periodically to buy new clothes. This isn't a clothes shopping trip game. Why does the stamina system exist? It's unnecessary tedium to have to stop every 100 yards to get your breath back. Game has half implemented features like hideout coziness, cartel level and street cred that do nothing. Devs have actually posted on the forums saying it does nothing, but it might in future. That was fine while game was in early access, but it's not now. They still haven't implemented a skill tree, so level means nothing. Cops will walk past balaclava clad thugs wielding spiked baseball bats and dead bodies, but apparently I look suspicious.....I hope all the above gets fixed, because this could be a great game. However I doubt it as these developers abandoned DDS in order to work on DDS2, and they're already trowelling out DLCs rather than finishing the base game. ------------------------------------------------------ Edit in response to the "developer": Hey, thanks for your dismissive template response! For clarification - if you promise a customer a specific product, then deliver a shadow of that promise, it's highly unethical and inappropriate to try and sell them an add-on product, regardless of who created it.

Unfinished game releases DLC for feature that should be in the original game. Massive red flag

They removed my previous review. Review opinion is still negative since they have not fixed several bugs that are present and have launched the DLC I cannot recommend this game at this time. Bugs include areas not unlocking when completing quest lines. Bandits pathing breaks if you are on an elevated surface and they are chasing you. 2/10

I've played the game twice and noticed how unoptimized the game is for an unreal engine made game. I do understand that my PC isn't that good, but I feel that the game hasn't had enough optimization on some mechanics like the police/enemies AI is a lil clunky. I also understand I didn't play the game enough to give a proper review honestly good game if they fix the issues and worry less on dlc and add real content. I would say buy it if your here for a decent drug dealing game with slight realism like raids ect, but if your here for story and smooth gameplay wait till they optimize it or deeply discount. Also my opinion on the casino dlc it's extremely buggy like chips clipping through table.in all id rate it 6/10.

Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. I read a lot of them and they aren't valid at all. 60 min into this game and I already had enough money to buy a hideout and the moped for transportation. This game is actually superior the DDS1 in that its way deeper and has more to do imo. With dealers and distributors combined with fast travel to hideouts etc. You can set up a great operation. Excellent game. I don't review a ton but this one hopefully will help someone get this game or at least try it as it is awesome. I beat DDS1 or at least got towards end game etc. DDS2 has much more content and things to do. I currently own the first Villa available for purchase and I have my entire drug creating and cooking operations set up inside it for everything I sell. Its wonderful. Even got a dog and a cat that I can walk down the street. 10/10 lmao

This game is no where near as good as the first one. The map is too big and your customers are too far away. Crafting the packages of drugs is needlessly over-complicated. Advancing and improving your skills and abilities takes way too long. Once you've expanded your operations two or three times the game just gets boring. Its just the same thing over and over. The sound track is bad. Turn off the music to save your sanity. The epic voice actors from the first game are back but seem to be an after thought instead of integral to the story. Just an average and grindy game.

It's a decent game but some of the bugs can be annoying, like randomly somehow flying above the map and needing to use the emergency return but it just returns you in the sky, tho the items and stuff are cool, so it's worth checking out at least but the first one is definitely worth getting tho.

generally a really fun game. theres a lot of grinding which can be a little exhausting due to the size of the map but once you get good transport, it's much simpler. keeping up with growing and packaging things can be tough, but i like that, as most of the game is fairly easy. i kinda wish there were greater challenges or a difficulty slider (if i havent missed it). overall, fun but easier than dds1

Since the Casino update te game has had a tendensy to crash, but overall a very fun and chill game perfect for when youw anna sit back and relax with a game! Pros: Very fun Timeconsuming (In a good way) Beautiful landscapes Alot of content even without the DLC Always something to do Cons: Buggy NPCs (NPCs glitching out, becoming invis etc) Voicemails locks from time and time again whichs stops the story til it works Has a tendency to crash (Hurray for hideout/market autosaves) NPCs that order frequently change their order by the time you get there to a new dose or batch Millitia Cops/Thugs sometimes flip on you without warning, youre sole existanse make them hunt you (This has made my hideouts get raided alot, very annoying) Notification Boards give you old sidequests even if they are done (Offroad Vehicle, Man For Hire etc) If a dealer/distributor has run low on inventory the game spams you with notifications (2-3 in a row once every 20 secs sometimes) which is a headache Boat inventories are bugged and you need to hop in and start them and then jump out to even access it Overall even with theese very annoying bugs the game manages to be alot of fun and makes your time pass like youre in a different dimension, perfect for a boring day or a day when you want to sit back, take a beer and just mess around. 6/10, without the more annoying bugs its a solid 8/10

I actually personally prefer this game in several ways over Schedule 1. There is a higher variety of cooking methods and more interior design and base options, and the progression encourages you to expand in a way that is not too grindy. The developers update the game quite often and up until now they are still making major improvements.

After almost 200 hours in the game, I can honestly say DDS2 is a massive improvement over the first one. The open world, expanded mechanics, and deeper management system make this one of the most addictive and immersive simulators I’ve played. 🔹 Gameplay: Crafting, dealing, expanding your network – everything feels more refined and meaningful. You have a lot of freedom in how you run your empire, and the risks/rewards system keeps things tense and engaging. 🔹 Graphics & Atmosphere: The world feels alive, gritty, and detailed. Each neighborhood has its own vibe, and the visual upgrades over the first game are very noticeable. 🔹 Dealer & Lab Management: Recruiting, training, and managing your team is where the game really shines. Running labs and coordinating deliveries feels like you’re running a real operation. 🔹 Developer Support: The devs are active, responsive to feedback, and constantly improving the game with updates – huge respect for that.

Can't join friends co-op game if a specific person is already in the game. They left and then I was able to join and then they couldn't. Tried every troubleshooting tips the creator suggests on Steam forums and still no change after 45 mins of trying.
