ROUTE + Scenery Overhead Signals Textures Price the make a small update with the Marseille Avignon part vegetaion - few of the reality appropriate buildings in Lyon Train (TGV Duplex) --- They dont update the old one + Sound (Engine) Textures - Sound (carriages) -- very bad -> Soundupdate - railsim.fr acceleration brakes (Im not sure if it corresponds to the reality, but its very hat to brake with this train on the LGV part) wrong 1.5kv pantograph (reality: first + fourth | ts: second and third) summarized, it is worthwhile to buy this route I would be wery glad if they update the 1.5v pantographs, because it wouldn´t be so difficult Im sorry if i did some grammatical mistakes

(Sorry, for grammar) A must buy if you liked the first route especially at that low price for a route of 230km, The LGV route have a speed of 300km/ h almost all the way from Avignon to Lyon and if you want you can stop at valence TGV station on the way. The whole route is about 1-1.5 hours to drive depend on where you stop on the way. The only bad thing may be the fps drops some time. Overall I highly recommended this route if you like to do nothing for 30 minutes and watch the landscape fly by. 9/10

A must have if you already own Marseille to Avignon. This extension really gave life to the route. With 300 km and about 90 minutes of driving (with 2-3 stops in the middle) finally this becomes interesting add-on while Marseille Avignon alone is just meh... Lyon is interesting, espacially the non TGV part which gives about 15 minutes of driving under classical signaling which is a nice way to end your ride (although you can skip it and go directly to TGV station at Lyon too). One problem for me is the quick drive - it omits all the stations. Single run from Marseille to Lyon without any stops is just plain boring constant 300 km/h. I suggest editing the QD to account for the stops in at least Valence and Avignon to make any sense. I did that and boy this is fun! You can also check out my scenarios in the workshop I tried to give a little more challenge and life to the route.

I initially had trouble loading this route and only the base terrain loaded, with no track or buildings. Once I checked the requirements, I noticed that it needs the LGV: Marseille - Avignon Route to be installed as well for this extension to work. Once I had this pre-requisite, the routes loaded without any issues.

Did not work after purchasing it.......none of the scenarios loaded DLC stated over 1000 MB but only loaded 350. Tried reinstalling it but to no avail.

The scenery on the extension isn't as good as the Marseille to Avignon section but is still alright. The route's length is the highlight here, I love doing long runs of the route. It takes about two hours to go end to end, so it's one of the longer routes for TS on Steam.

For those that have the ability to read and then comprehend what they have read, they would know that this is only a route extension with no rolling stock. This route extension is nigh on two hundred miles, that is plenty of room to really let trains (from the main route) stretch their legs. At the speeds achievable, the scenery flashes past and not much chance is available to absorb it; at lower speeds, it is all a bit sparse and under done, but then, if any denser, frame rate would take a big hit. The scenarios are fine, if a bit bland; drama on a TGV train would never be a good thing, so don't expect any. I actually paid for this when released, I've played if for a few hours, but there's not much to keep me coming back for more. 6/10
Beautiful route if you enjoy high speed and long trips!
This route expands upon the previously released LGV: Marseille - Avignon Route Add-On, which is required to own and be installed for this DLC to work properly. Some of the negative reviews seem to be coming from people who did not own that particular DLC. I suggest that if you do own that DLC (or are planning to get it together with this DLC) you ignore those specific reviews because this route works fine for me. I have only played it on the 64-Bit version although I think it should work on the 32-bit version just fine and everyone should be using 64-bit anyway as 32-bit is becoming obsolete. Has pretty good attention to detail, although there can be some improvements to some very minor details and there are some missing overhead wires/catenary at a very specific point on the route, but this is hard to see when speeding by at 300km/h. The TVM works really well, the speed limits where TVM is not available are slightly buggy near Lyon, but speeding can be avoided after driving the route once or twice. Overall a solid 8.5/10, would recommend to all who are interested in high speed trains, the TGV or something new (especially when it's on sale).

It's a really good route from France. Perfect in almost everything. But maybe put some bushes or weeds next to the tracks. Also where did all the graffiti go? It's too clean. Jokes aside buy this add-on even if it's missing the graffiti. +Good train. With a new livery. +Good route. +Good sounds. +Nice station buildings. -Too clean. Zero Graffiti. -Not enough bushes or weeds on the non-LGV parts. -Catenary is almost perfect A.K.A. DTG quality but acceptable. -Abandoned stations doesn't look like they're abandoned.

I would love this entire route start at Paris-Gare de Lyon instead and gradually go first to Lyon Part Dieu and then to Marseille St Charles, because it would be realistic this way (there are TGVs connecting Paris and Lyon Part Dieu, but I doubt there are TGVs connecting Marseille St Charles and Lyon Part Dieu). But anyhow, what they did (Lyon Part Dieu - Marseille) is good, smooth, and I didn't have any problem playing it (in Quick Drive mode). Thanks and I'd love seeing the rest of the TGV Méditerranée in my lifetime.

This is one of the finest addons DTG have ever released. The route is now a proper length (~200 miles), is highly detailed, the stations are very accurate and the train itself is just superb. Very detailed, sounds are good (although not as good as they could be) and features a lovely passenger view. 9/10 - highly reccomended!

This route has now been given a proper length to drive on. Would love to see this reach to Paris and beyond. Definitely recommended for anyone who loved the original route.

On sale, it's a great addition to the short original line. Now you can actually take a meaningful trip. No huge changes from the "included" line, except the paint schemes have been updated, and power is definitely more vigorous. One small (but aggravating) peeve: "Let There Be Light" scenario posits that you're in Marsailles at 16:30 and need to be at the Festival of Lights in Lyon at 18:30. So the route takes me... to the airport? What tourist idiot made that reservation?

When I go to France, I'm close to this route, and it's quite accurate. Lyon St Exupery is spot on. Lyon Part Dieu is realistic too. I can't compare that much after the big bridge & the tunnel (after St Exupery) as I haven't gone much beyond that in real life.

This DLC is great. It does not cost too much, I tried to refund it because I thought it was bad. Luckly it got denied, and I am happy for that. Now I can explore this great DLC!

If you're keen on zipping across at 300kph over long stretches of the LGV for more than an hour or so then this is worth adding to your game.

DO NOT BUY if you are thinking this comes with trains do not buy it doesn't the route also seems to not load unless you buy the first map.

Do I need to buy the trains too ? Don't they come with this DLC ? If that's the case, this is the biggest joke I've ever seen and the biggest waste on money I've made on steam so far.

Doesn't seem to work but I think the problem everyone else is having is they dot't have LGV Marseille - Avignon.

Overall a pretty good route. However, the FPS drops can be quite a hit in some places, as you are moving so quickly, it's hard for the game to keep up with loading the next batch of scenery without drops in FPS. Perhaps it would be better if I had the game files on an SSD? Like this review if you agree with me? If you like speeding along at 300km/h, watching the French countryside go by, then this route is for you, but if you like routes that include a lot of station stopping, then this is probably not for you, as there are sections when you are driving for 1h+ at a time doing nothing. But still enjoyable.

Most of this review is very synthetic, as most of what I've said in my LGV Marseille - Avignon review also applies to this. You can find the review here. BEWARE: YOU NEED THE LGV MARSEILLE - AVIGNON ROUTE TO BE ABLE TO PLAY THIS. Most of the negative reviews are of people that can't load the map, I wouldn't be surprised if they're missing the original route. Expanding on the already pretty good LGV Marseille - Avignon, this extension expands the original route up the LGV Rhone - Alpes to Lyon, giving you a staggering 309km to drive end to end. So, the route: it extends from Lyon Part-Dieu to Avignon TGV, where it connects to the LGV Marseille - Avignon. There's one intemediate station where TGVs stop, Valence TGV (other stations exist on the conventional line that connects Pat-Dieu station to the high speed line, but they're unused). A branch to Lyon Saint-Exupéry TGV is also included. The scenery and track infrastructure are built to the same (good) standard as the base route, and the stations are again well modelled. No new train is included with the extension, but there's the addition of the Carmillon livery for the TGV Duplex, which is the livery they carry now. All of the bugs with safety systems and signalling that were present in the original route are also found here. Overall, considering the amount of track you get, it's a good deal and a great addtion to the LGV Marseille - Avignon, but obviously only if you like high speed rail, with not much to do between (very infrequent) stops.

fun game... Like buying Routes when on sale... and there is no killing involved.. relaxing fun times.. high speed extension Route in France.. well yeah! .. its very long when combined with LGV: Marseille - Avignon Route, 300 plus Km 190 plus miles.... about 1.5 hour ride from end to end. AI and road traffic is a bit lacking and you get just one train with two skins... when on sale.. and if you want something different like a France route... sure... grab it .. when on sale.. I personally think DTG over prices all their routes to allow more sales that look like deals... make sure you get a deal you can live with.... "ALWAYS BUY ON SALE, ALWAYS" and by sale..I mean 60% or better...

Just played a scenario Lugdunum to Massalia where I sat for an hour with nothing to do except sound the horn a couple of times. What made it worse was that it was so foggy you couldn't even enjoy the view. It's a game! We want something to do and at least set it up so there is something to see!!

This extension is well worth it for those wanting to drive long distances at high speeds and testing the trains to their maximum high speeds. Highly recommend it. A solid 10/10 from myself.
