Most of this review is very synthetic, as most of what I've said in my LGV Marseille - Avignon review also applies to this. You can find the review here.
BEWARE: YOU NEED THE LGV MARSEILLE - AVIGNON ROUTE TO BE ABLE TO PLAY THIS. Most of the negative reviews are of people that can't load the map, I wouldn't be surprised if they're missing the original route.
Expanding on the already pretty good LGV Marseille - Avignon, this extension expands the original route up the LGV Rhone - Alpes to Lyon, giving you a staggering 309km to drive end to end.
So, the route: it extends from Lyon Part-Dieu to Avignon TGV, where it connects to the LGV Marseille - Avignon. There's one intemediate station where TGVs stop, Valence TGV (other stations exist on the conventional line that connects Pat-Dieu station to the high speed line, but they're unused). A branch to Lyon Saint-Exupéry TGV is also included. The scenery and track infrastructure are built to the same (good) standard as the base route, and the stations are again well modelled.
No new train is included with the extension, but there's the addition of the Carmillon livery for the TGV Duplex, which is the livery they carry now.
All of the bugs with safety systems and signalling that were present in the original route are also found here.
Overall, considering the amount of track you get, it's a good deal and a great addtion to the LGV Marseille - Avignon, but obviously only if you like high speed rail, with not much to do between (very infrequent) stops.
