Most of the negative reviews of the DLC are about the editor startup issue when it was first released, which is fixed now.
So I figured I'd give a balanced review of it.
It's great that the bug was fixed during the holiday period after release. However, it's also important to ensure that the function is working properly before release. I'm not sure about the development situation, so I won't criticize it too much.(since I'm something of a programmer myself)
While I don't particularly expect Digital Craft features, I understand they hold value for others. Even though it makes the DLC rather overpriced for me, I can see its justification from a patron's perspective.
Speaking of patrons,I would like to offer some suggestions:
When providing information during regular maintenance updates, though it doesn't have to be as detailed as commit logs, but it would be helpful to share the optimizations and work content in more specific categories.
For example, you could specify whether the bugs fixed are related to the game flow or dialogue, and which areas of the game have been optimized, such as the collision of models or the materials used.
This would be beneficial for improving the buyer's evaluation of the purchase.
Especially if you're developing some new modules or a system like Digital Craft,it would be nice to keep players updated and hinted.
I'm not sure about the Japanese side's community management, but content like adding clothing, accessories, and hairstyles is actually quite suitable for being managed as a community interaction project. No matter how much weight it is ultimately given, it's still a way to provide development direction, understand what consumers are willing to pay, and strengthen promotion.
These approaches are beneficial for business if the company want to operate the game for a certain period of time in the form of expansion packs. Of course, the actual revenue assessment is still up to you.
Ah,and I think instead of highlighting DLC added stuff "new" at the first time seeing, perhaps consider tag them with "DLC" so players can be sure which are new things afterwards.
Overall,
If you are into more detailed adjustment to build up your desired scenario, the DC mode is to a good standard.
I'd rate this DLC a 8/10.
But if you're a casual gamer who just want to have a good time from the erotic dating simulator like me,and probably not gonna spend much time to set things up?
I'd honestly give a 5/10 for the current state of content that costs full price.
