This game could be a good game if you had more options to solve any of the levels. As it is, the layout, order in which you place things, and where you place your towers has a very limited and narrowly focused win condition which the developer expects you to suss out to get a perfect run with no lives lost. On the good side, you can replay, starting at any previous wave, so sussing it out doesn't require you to start from scratch. The music is nice. I don't really care for both the flyers and the insectazoids that don't pay attention to pathing, one or the other OK, but two different creeps that don't follow your maze? I must have tried the 10th map, Titan, 10-15 times, and this is even after the developer posted the solution - but again, what order to build and when to build appears to be too much of the puzzle for me.

Artisan TD is a truly great tower defense game! At first, it might seem a bit easy, but don't be fooled – the difficulty ramps up steadily, offering a well-balanced and rewarding challenge. The game features a thoughtful learning curve where each level builds on the last, and the towers you unlock and upgrade feel naturally integrated into your growing strategy. Once you reach the final level, the real fun begins. That drive to hit 100% game completion kicks in, and collecting all those golden stars becomes a satisfying goal. You'll find yourself spending several more exciting hours refining your tactics, and every time you manage to fully master a level, it’s a genuine moment of achievement. The towers themselves are classic and straightforward – and that’s exactly what works. There's no need for flashy gimmicks; this is tower defense in its purest form, just like the genre’s golden days. Where the game really shines is in its variety of enemies. Some are fast, some are heavily armored, some heal, and others combine multiple traits, which keeps things interesting and forces you to adapt your strategies. Overall, Artisan TD delivers everything you’d want from a great tower defense experience: challenge, satisfaction, and that timeless gameplay loop that keeps you coming back for more.

Amazing game, Really a time sinking in a positive way. Good tower diversity and good/high level of challenge. What I liked particularly was the option to rewind to a specific wave, so when something went wrong down the line, I could revert it

Graphics is nice and all, but I find the game rather boring. Each level is like a puzzle. There is a very specific way you must set up the towers, and if you deviate too much from that, you will lose. Despite the fact that you can design a maze for the enemies, there seems to be very little room for creativity. All that the maze building does, is to make sure that there are many, many ways to build it wrong and only a few right ways to get through the level. It quickly gets tedious tinkering with different builds until you find the right one. Towers have a boost ability that you can trigger by right clicking on them. That feature is not very well explained in the tutorial at all, and as far as I can tell, boosting a tower does nothing or next to nothing. At least there is very little feedback when you do it, which is strange, because the developers have done a good job at making sure there are crisp and nice animations for all other actions.

it's a good game but the overall rating is too high. The game doesn't have metaprogression and that makes it go as developers make to progress, that's boring and make you solve the problem as somebody wanted, but not in your way.

This really is an awesome tower defense game. I can't stop playing! My only recommendation would be to add some kind of map editor, the Gemini in me gets bored easily, so being able to create my own maps and/or share maps would greatly improve replayability, and keep me from getting bored. DLC would be ok too, though an editor would be my top choice.
